P1000 is a FEPA designation. That grit does not correspond to the American system, CAMI 1000 grit, but is 500. If you are to level sand at CAMI 1000 then P1000 grit size is twice as large.

Are you talking about what I use as a lubricant for the level-sanding? It's basically just naphtha. Ronsonol lighter fluid is just an easy source to use.
