I have an SEL all wheel drive hybrid. Wanted a Highlander Hybrid but this is a much better price point. Also felt like it had more power as well as better visibility.

@@JakeBurgess the highlander's so overpriced you're paying up the wazzoo for that mythical reliability. You also pay more for insurance because the highlander's on the top 5 stolen cars list. These 19 year old kids are running around Toronto/Montreal stealing cars left right and center - organized crime gives them $2,500 for every car they bring in. And if they get arrested they're out on bail the next day. So I'm getting a base model Santa fe hybrid, less attractive for thieves :P

but it's so practical! At least for me, I'll be carrying a full trunk o' stuff every day for work. Originally I was going to buy a Toyota Highlander hybrid (platinum) for $71,000CAD, but now I'm going base trim Santa Fe Hybrid for $48,200CAD (same size, same MPG, 40% cheaper)
@@zenon3021 the highlander is a bit longer and I’ve owned 2 with the v6 ICE engines! Best vehicle I owned.

I traded my ‘21 Toyota HL XLE AWD Hybrid for ‘24 Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy. Got Rockwood Green exterior with Beige interior. I love all the loaded features. Bought on 05/17. OTD after dealer discount of 890 was $ 49900. ( Trade-in value was $32K)

How Highlander compares with Santa Fe trunk space? Especially when third row is not set. Also how with driving and overall drive felling?
The sliding sun shade that covers the driver/passenger is not electric, I believe. Only the rear shade that covers the rear passenger sun window that does not open is electric. Some might not like that, but I prefer a manual sliding sunroof opening because it is faster and easier to control. Driver doesn’t have to feel around for the proper button then ensure it isn’t depressed too hard to also open the glass if it isn’t desired. That shade not being electric sounds counter-intuitive, but when I thought about it I recalled how much I liked my earlier manual shade being quickly and easily controlled.
The gas door opening. I thought another video mentioned that it locks when car is locked and is only unlocked when the vehicle is is unlocked or key fob is near. It just doesn’t sound right that a manufacturer has gone backwards in making fuel accessible for easy stealing.

I got a red limited hybrid ed. and i love it so much i want to go out for a drive everynight around 7 when its cool out to show it off

How's the drive feel for the hybrid compared to the non hybrid? Do you think it has enough power to move 6-7 passengers?
i test drove both, The hybrid (because of added torque) seems to pickup faster for merger, and feels peppier. I was completely surprised. No problem getting on highway and going to 75. 0-60 was supposedly 7.6 on the 2.5 i think its 6.3 on the hybrid. About to buy one probably
