what amazes me is how the glass suddenly bursts out of the background as you fill in the colours. it starts off as a simple 2D drawing then suddenly becomes something almost tangible. Thank you Shibasaki.
I know... it’s like magic is it not. But I am sure that there are years of practice behind this simple ‘easy’ painting.
I agree but there are unfortunately a multitude of skip jumps in this video.
@@parkercummings1906 That's so true, sadly. I cannot imagine that it took only 5 minutes even for Mr. Shibasaki. I watched an earlier video on his on how to paint a barn and it was for 25 minutes. All the pauses and strokes that lead to the final result are more clear in that painting.

Only after watching your videos, light and shadow became the first things I try to understand before painting and this one again proves how important light is! With your videos I don't only learn how to paint but how to think before painting, thanks a lot!

私は背景が塗れません。
『モチーフにこの色が合わなかったら…』など、色々考えて結局塗れずじまい。
なので毎回躊躇なくどんどん色を乗せていく先生の描き方には驚かされます😄
そして最後には素晴らしい作品が出来上がるのは圧巻です！👏👏👏

It's absolutely amazing how all these 'messy' brush strokes kome together and help bring out the shape of the glass and it actually looks see through 😍

I love the whole idea of not painting the glass but by painting what's around it, the glass will come together naturally. Painting glass is very hard, thank you for teaching us in a very easy way how to paint it Shibasaki-san ^^

Shibaski-sensei, I am honored to have discovered your channel today. You paint with such confidence, each stroke is deliberately placed. I paint with acrylics for my work, usually murals of wildlife for zoos. Thank you for sharing your work with us and for teaching us. Even though we work in different mediums, I often pick up different techniques from other artists as I never had any formal teaching beyond the basics in painting. Please continue to paint, though do take care of your health. If you have time, please continue to share with us. Thank you very much.

透明なグラスや透明な花瓶に活けたお花や静物画は一度チャレンジしてみたいと思っていました。背景の色を塗り残すことで透明感を出すのですね😃 葉っぱや茎も屈折した感じを表現するのは難しいですが、頑張って挑戦してみます😉🎶

AMAZING! It looked like a hot mess when you first started. I thought how is he going to maintain the shape of the glass, and the reflections, when I could no longer see the sketch? But, as always, I sat in amazement as it all became clear, reflections, shapes, depth, and beauty achieved through such simplicity and mastery. I remain in awe of your work Mr. Shibasaki. He just slaps paint here and there, almost irreverently and carelessly, in and around his sketch that got me thinking, "Good luck creating a transparent glass from that mess," and voila, lo and behold, a perfectly transparent glass!
