Thanks for your comment. The original tape is S-VHS and it is captured to the computer via a Lindy USB 2.0 High Quality Video Creator using Ulead Video Studio 6.0 SE DVD software. The software dates from 2002 and has presunably been updated many times since, but we remain happy with the quality from our original download. Not sure what you mean by keeping the image display quite small, but our system captures the entire S-VHS frame with no cropping.
Sorry I need to correct my reply. The 1988 and 1989 footage was on standard VHS, not S-VHS. We used S-VHS from 1990 onwards. Our 'Hellifield' film is therefore half standard VHS and half digital. The capture equipment is as described in my previous reply.
Excellent footage of these older workings from the 80s - even the blue Cl47 looks nostalgic now! The video has transferred well to digital, really good quality - is this because you kept the image display quite small, tight please? Thanks for sharing this.
