Is there any Nintendo game you would like to be remastered that has not been discussed as a possibility? I would like to see Star Fox Adventures. Maybe with a few more Arwing segments mixed in.
Rumors that still waiting to be true lineup: - Kid Icarus Uprising HD - Wind Waker & Twilight Princess HD - Tomodachi Life port - Kirby 3DS port - Fire Emblem 4 Remake - Bravely Default 1 Remaster
Og Kid Icarus is awful they should just remaster kid Icarus uprising or make a new game. Luigi’s Mansion though would be amazing I’m sure they are playing around with that idea
I was just thinking the other day they could do a Mini Direct in January focused on whatever first party announcements are left for Switch 1 which would probably be remasters and remakes mostly then in February they can do the Switch 2 reveal event
Andres. I remember hearing this from TH-cam from Nintendo earlier shareholders meeting. The current switch consoles will be supported until the end of next year. Probably the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
I don’t think they are gonna stop support till the end of 2026 into 2027 there’s no reason to discontinue at the end of 2025. They are gonna use those consoles as a cheaper way for people to get into the Nintendo ecosystem. Plus Nintendo’s president said the switch 1 would have a 10 year lifespan early on so that would mean until early 2027.
Im hoping they remake Super Mario 3 and world, super metroid, DK 1 2 and 3 country, Zelda1 and 2. Also port Samus returns, Ocarina and Majoras mask 3d to the switch 1. There's my wishlist. Switch2 reveal is closer. Hype will take off!😮😮😮
Hope so but doubt the visuals will be anything more than the 2016 "remasters" etc.. I consider TP to have the best OST in the series, and despite it having an orchestrated OST available at the time, Nintendo didn't even update the music for the 2016 remaster, which was a very confusing/lazy decision. The HD switch 2 version would need to at least include an updated fully orchestrated OST, or I wouldn't even look in its direction.
Sadly there is no way MP2 gets the Prime Remaster treatment. It's too good, the art too incredible, the budget would be too expensive. So we'll never get the remaster we should, it'll be the Prime Trilogy version ported to Switch hardware.
That would make sense if they discontinue the v2 og switch. The lite is such a good price point for people who just wanna dip their toes or for kids. The oled switch is there for people who still wanna stay with the og switch but with a nicer screen. I think the price cut will be announced when the new switch comes out and it will probably be 40 dollars so the switch lite will go from 250 to 209.99 and the oled from 350 to 309.99
These are what they should announce- Metroid prime2 and 3 remakes, Samus returns hd port, kid icarus new or remaster, Luigis Mansion 1, Ocarina and Majoras mask 3d ports, link between worlds remaster, Kirby rainbow curse, Wind waker and Twilight princess hd at the top. Soo ready to hype once the reveal trailer takes place in January or February 😮😮😮!
My biggest dream will always be for a remaster or remake of both GBA Golden Sun games. If that ever happens I’ll be the most hyped I’ve ever been for a game.
I liked the video because the zelda ports were mentioned ❤ I’ve been waiting for them for so long already that I ended up checking on TH-cam everyday… and it’s a relief that there’s always someone to bring the subject back to the table
Games I still want on Switch 1 next year: 1. Kirby Planet Robobot HD or a new 2D Kirby all together (Either one is fine.). 2. Wario Land Shake It HD, by Good-Feel themselves. 3. Monster Hunter Stories 3 (hopefully...) 4. Digimon Story, Olympos XII (If it ever gets revealed at some point...) 5. Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 Professional HD 6. Project X Zone 1 & 2 HD (Doubt it though...) 7. Kid Icarus Uprising HD
I fear if they release prime 2 and 3 too early, it’d over saturate the market for prime 4's hype. I'm reasoning that the last of the trilogy remasters are not guaranteed with retro, if they were to release them before 4, maybe ports, but remasters I just can't see that timeline. Despite saying that, I'd love to be surprised and see echoes and corruption sooner than later! But what's keeping me from fully hoping is I watched a vid recently, "Past Retro Studios Devs Speak About Metroid Prime 2 Remastered," it has devs from the likes of Zoid Kirsch and Jack Matthews. In it Jack emphasized that he could see a future where Retro may never remaster 2&3, and that he would rather see it remastered by retro, than see Echoes and Corruption be fully outsourced. As a die hard prime fan, I fully agree with him, being patient is what gets us the best metroid goodies :). So yeah, I digress, slapping in an HD port of 2&3 can be a fine outcome, but also can affect Beyond’s marketing in ways we don't expect.
Nintendo painted themself into a corner on this one. Supposedly MP2 has been done for quite a while, and Nintendo was just waiting for a good time to roll it out and never found a time they liked (though why they went out to buy the publication rights to Fitness Boxing 3 and not use Metroid Prime 2 for December seems like a missed opportunity.) MP2 was supposed to have come out already, and MP3 early 2025, to build up for late 2025 Metroid Prime 4. But now they've put themselves in the position of having to do all three in same the same calendar year, which I agree with cannibalize each other's sales a bit. I've been thinking about this situation over the last few days as speculation of a Nintendo news drop at The Game Awards on Thursday has been heating up. I'm starting to think we will see some more of Metroid Prime 4, and they'll shadow drop a digital version of Metroid Prime 2 for us at conclusion of the trailer, and announce Metroid Prime 3 (and possibly physical for both MP2 and MP3) for February. This is why we've not heard anything from Nintendo about February title yet, it builds Metroid hype at Game Awards rather than in February when Switch 2 news may be dominant, and gets one of the two out of the way this year so 2025 is a little less packed with Metroid games.
Nintendo is painting a safer picture, than an aggressively marketed one though, they know Metroid is niche and they are certainly concerned with Prime 4 more so, than getting 2 and 3 out the door, and i'd argue they put themselves in this "micro management" position on purpose. My reasoning is their dedication to Prime 4 after so many mishaps (restarting development from bandai to retro, for a long 6 year development period) after all these years shows their motives, to honor Prime's legacy, with an innovative, immersive, experience. 'Beyond' what we can imagine! Pun Intended ;) Jack Implied prime 1 remastered was a technical showcase. To assure us of retro studios technical capabilities; in delivering Metroid Prime 4. Overall I do see your speculation as well and how Nintendo could take that path to also build hype. But they are very conservative about there ip’s so i dont know either way im excited for these games 😊
A full, ground-up remake would be a perfect launch-year game for the Nintendo Switch successor. It would be a great hardware showcase to show off the console's greatly improved horsepower, and it would give Zelda fans something to play on it in the first year since a new 3D game is likely several years away. Twilight Princess HD felt like a rush job to me that only existed so help fill out the Wii U library ahead of the Switch release. I think they could so better than a simple port of that version. Wind Waker HD actually had a lot of work put into it. It looks great, and I'm not sure much else needs to be done to it, either visually or from a gameplay perspective. So I hope they port that one to the current Switch sometime early next year and then maybe release a Twilight Princess remake for Switch 2 for the holidays or early 2026.
Every Nintendo direct since 2023 I've been hoping to not see Fe4 since I want it to be a switch 2 game. but if it is a switch 1 game that wouldn't be too bad since that would mean the first fire emblem game on switch 2 would likely be an new setting.
I think Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are coming, but I think it will be early Switch 2. With TotK coming out not long ago, we may be a while before our next big 3D Zelda. So they may wait till Switch 2 so we get something for that system.
Tomodachi life and Nintendo land- because both of these games uses Mii's which Nintendo currently owns and they both Revolve around doing activities, one at home on your switch and the other is on an Island and I'm pretty sure for Nintendo land they will find a way to remap the buttons and they'll probably add CPU for the co-op Attractions and for the same thing with Tomodachi life.
@sidewinder2057 It's not but it's more challenging than the first and the 3rd one but I love it it's honestly not as hard as people make it out to be nothing like Dark souls now that I still can't beat lol
Wish there's another 3d all stars collection with mario 64 DS port, Mario Galaxy 2 and Mario 3d land... And would be awesome if SNK make another metal slug anthology of all titles for PC & consoles including physical release..
I'm fine with more remasters and remakes for the original Switch system, and have Nintendo focus on all their efforts for an amazing Switch 2 launch. Plus with the Switch 2 being backwards compatible, it doesn't really matter what they release on Switch 1 going into 2025.
My dream remakes are Paper Mario 64, Yoshi’s Island SNES, Chibi-Robo!, Pokémon Crystal (in the form of sequels to the Pikachu/Eevee games), the first three Mario & Luigi games (hopefully, these are better than the two already on the 3DS), and the Japanese and Western Super Mario Bros. trilogies a la Super Mario All-Stars (except not a direct port like on the Wii in 2010).
The Switch 2 are rumored to be announced in January 2025, so I would think that the February Direct would be the first main direct with SW2 focus and some Switch games/remakes/remasters included and then a Pokémon Present shortly after as earlier years. I don't think february will have just a partner showcase where nothing from Nintendo will be shown if they have started their marketing campaign for the new console.
If we don't get Zelda Windwaker and Twighlight HD I'm gonna be so disappointed in NINTENDO. There is no good reason not to release these games on the Switch. Heck much of the emulation community and systems being sold to them are do too people wanting game cube/wii titles. The market is hungry for gamecube games , esp easy ports .
Yeah a January switch reveal and then a February direct showcasing a few more remasters like Metroid prime 2&3 and planet robobot could happen switch will coexist with its successor for a little while so all likely
The Feb Direct is the last big switch 1 direct. Switch 2 presentation is after that direct most likely march a couple weeks later. The launch is between week 3 of july to week 4 of aug. May june is tenitave. The wild card depends entirly on prime 2 and 3 being in feb. If this case peime 4 lands in Aug. Ocaeana of Time 4k is the holiday 2025 switch 2 game. This puts mario 3d game at launch in the May to july window. If prime 2 and 3 are feb 4 is august berwwen mario and zelda. Either way year one of switch 2 is Mario, Metroid, Zelda. So be happy 2025 will be amazing😊
I would like to see f zero gx remastered. I think its chances are slim, but could still come to switch because nintendo has put all the older f zero titles on nintendo Switch online and f zero gx is the only f zero game left to be ported to switch. I also would like to see starfox adventures get a remaster and starfox assault.
Samus hunter is just copying info from Chinese message boards. Prime found all the stuff she talks about on there before she stole it and claimed it was a source.
If Planet Robobot were the February Nintendo-published title, why wouldn't Nintendo have said so already? It wouldn't really affect the sales of any other Kirby game this holiday, as there hasn't been a new one for a while. And why give us March title but not February? I think Metroid Prime 2 or 3 (or both) seem to be the leading contenders with much higher likelihood than Kirby.
A Bravely Default game is a strong possibility. One of the SquareEnix producers associated with Bravely series said back in February to expect some news about Bravely by end of the year. Still waiting on that news, but its shaping up to either be a BD1 remaster for Switch 1 (and likely other platforms) or a BD3 they have for a Switch 2 launch or near-launch title that's still under announcement embargo. Given SquareEnix's desire to break away from console exclusives and the lackluster performance of BD2, I'd wager it is a BD1 remaster. (Though it could also be among the many SquareEnix cancelled projects and that's why we've not got any news yet.)
Awakening still holds its ground very well. Fates does need the overhaul though, because that game by its own is just awfull. Here are some ideas: 1. Get rid of Revelations. Revelations, though it is supposed to be the good and cannon ending, is arguably the worst route out of the three and the one that if Fates were ever remade wouldn't contribute in any way to it. Instead, focus on Birthright and Conquest and expand them because in those versions, the story is left without conclussion and can lead to some neat sequels. 2. Add the dusk/dawn dragon tribes that are never seen in the og games. Supposing they remake only Conquest and Birthright, they can even make an individual from either tribe depending on the game the cannon pairing for Corrin. Additionally, if they went for that idea, they should also stop pushing Azura as the cannon choice. 3. Develop the continent. We know that Hoshido and Nohr are the major powers of the continent, but what about the other nations like Nestra, Izumo, Koga, Mukushu, Notre Sagesse and the amount of elemental tribes that are present? Maybe if they made a sequel Nestra at the very least could have a bigger role. 4. Add more paralogues. Aside from the one in which we recruit Mozu, the other paralogues are just for the child units and contribute nothing to the story, so why not add paralogues that give additional lore regarding the legends behind the Yato and the other legendary weapons? Idk, maybe you can suggest more paralogue ideas since I haven't played Fates in a while. 5. (Optional) Get rid of the child units and add cannon pairings for the other lords. This is in case they want to do sequels. The child units in Fates make no sense and really only provide the player with better units in some cases and marriage options in others, so if a sequel is planned why not make them the second generation instead of keeping them as they rn are? As for cannon pairings for the other lords, again, that is only if they are planning a sequel and to simplify the mechanic so that the second generation can be as uniform as possible. Those would be my ideas if Fates were ever remade.
They’ll make a GameCube vc. It’s all but confirmed if you see how they’ve tackled the remasters . All of which are released to gauge how these franchises go in the current market . Paper Mario was majorly to see if the old gameplay fairs with the origami king . Why release Luigi’s mansion 2 and not one? Saving it for gc vc. They made pikmin 1 & 2 to ramp up interest for pikmin 4. Prime remaster was a pet project to give retro a refresh on the franchise . There’s no need to release ww and tp in the switch . Those titles were made to refresh devs on hd implementation and released for some sales. At this point I’d rather see full remakes of oot and mm throughout switch 2 and eventually with even better consoles they make down the line ww and tp with get there own full blown remakes
Wind waker could be on the horizon as you can’t do much more for that game other than going back finishing the concepts they made planned of exploring hyrule under the ocean but these ideas have since been used in ss and totk
@@hued2542 I believe a GameCube app is coming to NSO (as are DS and 3DS) during Swithc 2 era, but I'm not sure Wind Waker would be one of the emulated games. The original has its Tingle Tuner tied to the Game Boy Advance Adaptor, which would be difficult to replicate in GC emulation. They corrected this for Wind Waker HD, but I can't see them turning around to redevelop those changes in the original GameCube when its easier to just tweak the Wii U code and release WW HD on Switch 1/2. Nintendo has made a habit of supplying a Zelda game once a year, so I'd be shocked if we don't see Wind Waker or Twilight Princess late next year, unless something bigger is happening early 2026.
Okay, now I'm kinda nervous about February's Nintendo Direct next year. Because I still hope we get Tomodachi Life if that game is still gonna be on Switch or if it's gonna move to Switch 2 we'll see. But I'm now concerned about Kirby Planet Robobot coming to Switch. Because why would you skip Kirby Triple Deluxe? Cause I mean Kirby Planet Robobot is fun with the Robobot Armor Suit and also having Susie as a new Female Kirby Character, as well as an ally to Kirby in Star Allies. But Triple Deluxe, had like a new ability which is Hypernova, where Kirby can inhale a lot of big things in his path that get in his way so I just hope in the Direct they can do a two-pack collection for Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot and then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console and they can release it on April for Kirby's 33rd Anniversary next year. That would be a good idea to do for both of those 3DS Kirby Games. But I guess we'll see what happens when it gets to the February Direct next year.
I'm not quite sure why they'd need (or want) to put Tomodachi Life on Switch 2 rather than the larger base of Switch 1. The gameplay shouldn't require super-graphics. Unless its well down the line, say second-half 2026 or later and safely into the period of Nintendo no longer wanting to develop and promote Switch 1 games.
Most of this video was nothing new...I was dozing off lol. People seem to think the Switch 1 isn't getting more games we still don't know about or haven't seen yet after Switch 2 is out. Have we forgotten the new Professor Layton game? It's a Switch 1 game and we haven't seen anything of it yet.
Professor Layton and New World of Steam isn't a Nintendo-published title. When content creators say "no Nintendo games other than X, Y, an Z, and none past a certain date" they mean no Nintendo-published titles. 2025 will certainly have many third-party published Switch 1 titles, both before and after Switch 2 is out. We even know of one scheduled for 2026: Decapolice. I'm not confident in Nintendo continuing to publish Switch 1 titles into 2026, but I've no doubt Decapolice will be alone in third-party support. With perhaps 155-160 million units sold by that point and backwards compatibility in the newer model, it'll be very hard for publishers to not target a game for Switch 1 if it doesn't require the capabilities of Switch 2.
Enough with the remasters at top dollar for games that are 20 years old. How about something original for once. All these remasters are just cheap money grabs because of a lack of new content while everyone is waiting for the Switches replacement.
Is there any Nintendo game you would like to be remastered that has not been discussed as a possibility? I would like to see Star Fox Adventures. Maybe with a few more Arwing segments mixed in.
8:14 please 🥺
Luigi’s Mansion but they need to double the content and have a reverse or upside down mansion starring Mario with a second campaign.
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
I second a Star Fox Adventures HD remaster. One of my favorite Gamecube games!
Yes, and they should remaster Kirby Triple Deluxe to go along with Kirby Planet Robobot and Tomodachi Life since we already got Miitopia on Switch

Primes 2 and 3
They could do ffxiii trilogy on switch as well it could complete it and gave ffxiii trilogy a new home for the games
Hope next year will be hd remaster on Metroid Samus Returns
Let's go with the remakes!!!!
I want to see link between worlds brought over
Samus hunter is just copying info from Chinese message boards.
What About Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Lost World Remastered
Crazy idea but what if they did Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates definite edition? Bravely default and bravely second would be good too
A Bravely Default game is a strong possibility.
Here are some ideas:
True no reason they wouldn’t port that to switch tomodachi life
Prime 4 cross gen
Zelda remaster or remake
Built in killer app
3d DK
3rd party exclusives
I hope they use the Switch 1 as secondary screen similar to DS so it supports Switch 2
Switch 1 will probably get a bunch of remasters to fill in the gaps or something.
@RKMCHere There will still be new games for a year. Noting major, but likely the next mainline Kirby or maybe a new Yoshi game.
@@lilisaur Regardless of it being not published by Nintendo, Professor Layton is Nintendo exclusive.
@@ItApproaches While New World of Steam is Switch-only, some of the Layton games have been on mobile phones as well.
I'd be surprised if we get that many remasters just wintin first half of 2025. Nintendo is not that generous
Well it's Mario's anniversary next year so we might be expecting a bunch of Mario remasters and ports.
Mr restart 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Prime 4 should release before switch 2 so why are you and everyone else talking about prime 2 and 3
Enough with the remasters at top dollar for games that are 20 years old. How about something original for once. All these remasters are just cheap money grabs because of a lack of new content while everyone is waiting for the Switches replacement.
Who's wants a Splatoon 1 Remaster!!!
Bullshit rumour with no evidence.
Holy sh remake direct is the perfect idea
Video games
I enjoyed Kirby Planet Robobot, but I have no interest in buying it again.
What about prime 4 screw prime 2 where's 4 at surely their gonna release prime 4 before they do the switch 2
shut it
I don’t care anymore, I stopped buying new releases since wonder
if its not "Switch 2" I don't care what Nintendo are doing
Dumb. Do you enjoy games, or hardware?
Both @@SogonD.Zunatsu
WW and TP is what I desire. but also the new hardware 🤷
Ugh enough remasters 😐 where are the new NEW games?
