true. I remember in 2013, newbies both allies and enemies are lost their mind when I do that in my lane. they like 'how do you do that? are you hacking? potang inamo gago walang utak'
Whoever makes such a statement clearly has a Sumail body pillow in their closet. The moment people realized a spell has an animation, they figured out you can cancel it. I specifically remember being a Sven in DotA Allstars and baiting a Puck's phase shift, outplaying him. Good times.
I played in Dotapickup league at the highest ranks in DotA (1). You need 2000+ games and a 55% winrate to join back then. Everyone, even the lower ranks, did Animation canceling, orb walking, etc. That was back in 2005-2008!
Nice video about creeps lane management. I feel at the early stages of the video you forgot to mention he could have pulled to wave towards him by attacking the portrait of any visible enemy hero on the map as soon as he was in the 300 units range of the creeps (since the silencer was out of his vision). There were two visible ones on the safe lane at this exact moment (Orange and Cyan ones).
Got a lot to learn most of those things after hearing them seem common sense but before that they feel alien. Also adapting to the oponents playstyle while also focusing on your pre established plan should help you win. adapting to theyr ( enemy team) playstyle in map movements and also in adjusting the build will make a huge difference in later stages of this guy s ranked progression. It seemes to me carrying the game in dota 2 sums up to transitioning advantages that you get during the lane into structure kills and holding map control as much as possible, being better in a lane is not enough as long as you do not stop the entire game you cant expect some 1 else to carry. It is also difficult for me to understand why are highly good people in very low mmr brackets like 1k-3k you see people that can stomp everyone why dont they climb? i think there is something that i m missing by a lot tbh.
yeah nullifier is like SSR item in 2k bracket thanks for the video tho now i know what can makes me better. i was always choose to play support, but lately i pick all position to ranked and sometimes i get mid or carry lane where i think i can't afford to failed
Does the same apply (LH>DENY>HIT) for melee as well? Is there like a rule for when to drag aggro as melee mid vs range? When do you gank? Iam 6k btw but get role que games in mid and keep losing them any tip/video that is up to date?
Yes its the same for melee and range but it depends upon whether they are in range for you to hit them. You don't want to put yourself in a position where you hit them and you can't get away. Most of the things explained in this replay are universal, it applies to both melee and range. Some exceptions are tower hitting, a bit harder as a melee unless you do a lot of damage to the tower.
9:05 its okay to use q like that, you get 5 passives you will push the lane make 7 stacks with lvl 2 and harass silencer, most of lina players make this now
Settings > "Right-click allies to ... attack or deny" in combination with Settings > advnaced options > check "auto-repeat right mouse". This way you can hold right click on any creep to attack/deny and spam your stop action key (for me "S") to get a better effect of priming the animation for an attack than the spam clicking Pain uses in this video for very little effort.
I played a game vs a right click build ogre yesterday and I was clinkz I and I couldn't do anything. I couldn't last hit or deny or do any damage to his hero. Any thoughts
in lane? just rightclick him until he has to play more passively and you can get more lasthits. Sam thing with puck for example, if you play against a dk what can you do? Harass, otherwise you will get owned
They're all wrong, some matchups just cant be "won" (you can't out lh/deny and you can't push him out of lane). In this case, you can ask for a gank, or you can take jungle camps or stack for later if you're good at farming stacks, you can gank other lanes if your hero is good at it, you can build specifically to go farm jungle (like rush mask of madness on some heroes). On clinkz vs Ogre you either build for fast ganks if both teams allow it, or you max the creep eating spell so you can periodically go into the jungle and eat a big neutral while killing the camps. You can still be more of a nuisance than Ogre with less farm and xp if you play Clinkz well.
why become good at this game? its the most fun on lower levels, on higher mmr it just gets to grinding and try-hard and frustration. i love dota but i really think a lot of people dont pay attention on whats fun and instead waste their freetime trying to become pro or rank up in mmr and all the trash.
8:08 he DOES have to Q that creep though because according to him he misses 50% of his last hits. even without stopstuttering this is a terrible cs percentage to be hitting in trainer.
Its sad that people dumb down their own potential just because of the bracket they are in, most people dont understand that there is not a big ass differrnce between 2k and 5-6k mmr and should straight out research how to play better themselves instead of blaming teammates being bad and enemies being too "good". Start playing like a 8k+ mmr player instead. This is how I gained thousands of mmr quickly (climbed from 1.8k) if you are sub 6kmmr, hear this, Even at higher mmrs I still see monkeys that seem like they play with their feet but still win games constantly, so u dont have to be afraid of "higher rank" players
This game is so unfair. I Play at least OK, and Dota get me supports that don't support, or when I do support, carries that don't even look at the map and die 10-15x per match. Almost impossible to 1v9 unless your too good for ur bracket.
low bracket, u tp to farm, u prioritize farm, u only tp when it's advantegeous fight etc. but side lanes feed, am 30 min. battlefury, enemy safelane takes offlane tower at 7 minutes cause in the first 4 minutes enemy ursa in mega kill, then mb u do 1 good teamfight and u are happy u recovered, u try to lead them, u say go rosh, they dont go rosh, u say let's smoke ward take back map control, they dont smoke, u say ok i have bkb timing let's go, they dont feel to do it or u win teamfight and they all go push t3 with first aegis when enemy is spawning in 20 seconds instead of fucking take the opportunity to split farm the map now the threat is dead, push lanes and have creeps give us info of where the enemy maybe, im 3k mmr, i had many many coaches tell me "u cant be legend" by watching my mechanics and understanding of the game, but then again i cant control the brain of brainless monkeys and so i just accept defeat and go next.
Im in the same spot as u bro, even if a call was good but u lost the fight bc of the execution, after that they will stop listen to u and at that point game is lost
Macro calls don't matter if you are actually much better than your rank. We just saw Mason rank up and he was going 20-0 with silliest builds from the midlane in 3k. Last year Black was recalibrating and did the same thing. I watched him on his stream dominating game after game after game. High MMR players have way superior mechanics and game sense. It doesn't matter what their teammates do
36:47 you want them to get rosh lol slardar jugg no hp and low mana how can they tank rosh maybe exchanging hits LOL bruh try to review what you saying that's risky command. stay in 9k :P

Animation cancelling would be too hard for certain heroes like Razor, Sniper or Gyrocoptor. Especially with my old man reactions and finger speed.
