- Hi everyone! Come with me to the Hobonichi 2024 Lineup Preview in Brooklyn, NY at @Yoseka ! I was invited to the Hobonichi event that took place on August 18 - August 20 but I sadly was unable to attend as I was on vacation, but to my surprise Yoseka said that they would have the 2024 linep still available for viewing til Sept 1st so I headed over to Yoseka on Saturday, August 26! So spend the day with me viewing the new lineup and then discussing my picks for 2024! Let me know in the comments what's on your 2024 Hobonichi wishlist!

Obsessed with the way you laid out everything you were planning on getting on a single screen, it scratched a particular type of itch in my brain…if that makes sense LOL. I definitely want the have a nice day cover because I love the brown and I also want something with the cats cover! Not sure if I would get the cats cover as a HON or get a weeks instead 🤔🤔
Yes!! You totally understand me! I HAVE to lay it out so my brain can process what I like, I’m such a visual person. I had the same issue I was always like which should I get the cats in? That’s why I was like I’ll just get both the A5 and weeks haha

This will be my third year using hobonichi and I'm really thinking of getting the A6 techo original for the first time. I love my weeks but I am finding I need a little bit more room. I'm thinking of getting both and as time goes on see which I gravitate to more. I am also stuck between the Emma and Georgina or the cats and me. Life decisions lol
I’m moving from a weeks to an a6 as well! I’ve found I prefer more square pages than skinny ones…and the extra pockets and pen loop closures of the covers
I love the A6 size so much!! It’s like the perfect amount of paper space and it helped me overcome by fear of the A5 cousin writing space and I would say both the Emma and Georgina and cats are so beautiful you can’t go wrong with either

@katiemarshall8033 yeah I have been looking at some of the covers as well. You can really get sucked in when it comes to deciding which hobonichi and what covers to get. I have so many tabs open on my computer now looking at all the covers 😆

@@rockypaperscissorsco I got the A6 HON cats, weeks in cats, and another weeks in the Kubota design.
I got the A5 Cats and Me and the Yamazakura (A5) and the weeks Tomitaro Makino as well! So pretty! I can't wait for 2024 to come!
Plus, I got the black gingham cover (A5) for my Cats. And maybe just the clear cover for both the Tomitaro.

I’m OBSESSED with the A5 HON cats and when I held it in my hand I just knew I had to have it! Same! I don’t have any cats and I’m a dog person haha well I love all animals in general haha

I love the cats cover too. I'm obsessed with Liberty Fabrics but 2023 ones weren't my favorite. This year is beautiful covers.

I don’t use the Hobonichi planners (may grab a couple back up blank notebooks) but the covers are gorgeous!! I plan on grabbing the A6 Have a Nice Day and maybe the A5 Violets.

Oh man I WISH I would have seen this before I made my order. I was so happy to see all the books in person and thank you for taping on them so we have an idea of what the covers are like. Great video. I am so excited to get my order in and start using it. Wish I could have gone in and see them all in person as well. How great is that! @@rockypaperscissorsco Oh man I ordered a lot of goodies, but as for planners I got the A5 cousin in 2 books with a soft cover, the lovely botanical one with an Iris on it, the botanical weeks, and the 5 year in A5. I also got the 101 Dalmatians pencil boards,The Aristocats boars and the botanical pencil boards. After seeing you play with everything I am so excited to get them and start playing.

It has been really hard to decide because there’s a lot of beautiful choices. But for me at the moment I’ll get the One Piece Original (to use on the One Piece black leather cover I already have from this year), the One Piece Weeks, the Little Gifts in A6 because I love the cute drawings and it has seals which is my favorite animal. Also want to get the new cream One Piece leather cover in A5 to put on one of my journals. I was considering to get the One Piece HON instead but is the same cover design as the weeks plus Not sure if the HON will fit on the leather cover I already have, so I won’t risk it.
I loved the A6 little gifts too!! And I really want to get into One Piece! I know they’re coming out with a Netflix so I’m hoping it will be a good introduction for me to get into the manga series.

Ahh yes good question! I didn’t check that for 2024 I’m so sorry! But the 2023 have a nice days covers are both embossed so I’m hoping 2024 is the same

Lol me over here in the stone age with multiple tabs open to compare and try to figure out what to buy. But watching these walk-through or reveal videos, whatever, I think I'm even more confused as to what to get. There are several I want, yikes. But what, that gingham check cover is not fabric?

How does the HON fit the Have a nice day cover? I am asking because it supposedly does not fit it. Maybe only with the back cover, but then how do you close it?
I saw some videos with the other Hobonichi covers (with the butterfly pen loop closure) and they don't fit. Not sure about the Have a nice day one.
I tested out to see if it would fit in the have a nice day cover in the video a bit but I didn’t want to push it in all the way so that I don’t accidentally ruin the display they had or something, but I think the back cover should fit, I guess it depends how much you want to stretch out the have a nice day cover. I’m going to grab the A5 HON and the have a nice day and just take the risk! Haha

Is the A5 hon fits into A5 have nice day cover? There's a clear cover for hon on the website.
so I tried it a bit in the store in my video, I honestly think it will fit one side of the cover but I didn't want to push it all the way cause I didn't want to accidentally ruin something but with that said I did by an A5 HON and the A5 Have a Nice Day cover and I'm hoping I can make it work! I also bought a clear cover just to also have that option! hehe

Every other video I have watched have said that the Hons do not fit in any of the covers. Anxious to see if it fits in the cover you picked.😊

I’m not sure! This is the first year Hobonichi has held previews in the US (i think LA and NYC) but hopefully San Diego will be added to the list soon!!

The ECO EF and the 580 diamond mini EF are not the same just so you know, I have both and the 580 diamond mini EF writes thicker then the ECO EF nib, just so you are aware.
Thank you so much for your comment, so I actually ending up getting a Diamond 580 clear (not AL) and something I learned recently is that the diamond 580 has the #5 nib and the mini diamond has the #4 nib, so both #4 and $5 are the same nibs on the TWSBI Ecos. The main differences between the diamond 580 vs. ECO are the resins: the diamond resin is faceted while the ECO has a flatter resin and the more affordable option, the cap finials are definitely different, and then lastly the grip and nib do not twist off and remove on the ECO so you would have to pull. Now, if I bought a TWSBI Diamond 580 AL or ALR then yes the nib is different since AL and ALR would have larger nibs. Hope this helps!
