Emmanuel Lewis burst onto the Hollywood scene in the 1980s as the precocious star of 'Webster' and became one of the most recognizable people on TV. And with that came all the perks that come with superstardom, including a friendship with Michael Jackson. He joins us to talk about his career, his fame, and the work he's doing these days with the Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation to support young people on the Six Nations First Nation near Brantford, Ontario.

I love seeing Emmanuel Lewis as the healthy, productive adult he is! It's a relief to see in light of the train wrecks going on in Hollywood today.

Me too, I randomly googled him and glad to see he turned out ok unlike the sad tragedy of many other child stars of the past. I was a fan of his growing up.
And even back then, some child actors were not protected and fell through the cracks of sexual abuse and more.
Many parents were not as jealous as Lewis mom was. Or atleast many just were too trustworthy of the big shots running the show.
He's 43, still looks 12. Amazing.
he looks more like 15 but basically that's the same...well he just looks like the most mature child possible :D
We can't beliitle him because of his condition. I'm 42 and people say I look early 20's. I accept it. I'm glad he has accept himself for who he is and not so much worry about how we suppose to look to please society. He is a very kind, loving person who doesn't judge others of physical attributes.

It has its drawbacks. Imagine feeling like a fully grown man only to have everyone constantly treat you like a child. But bless Mr. Lewis. He seems like a good man. I wish him the best.

He has a kidney disorder and hormonal aging problem just like Gary Coleman.

He does not, he has a defect in his DNA preventing him from growing and his life expectancy is no more than 40 because little people live "short" lives.

I just feel the need to point out how normal Emmanuel Lewis is. So he's short. Big deal. The guys head is on right; he's conscious, he's managed to grow beyond his childhood acting days. He looks like he's done a great job in life.

With so many tragedies from that era, it is refreshing to see someone who was raised right. KUDOS to Emmanuel's mother for being his protector. I love how he described her role... "he's my son first before he's your star or your money maker..."

Emmanuel did the right thing defending Michael the way he did, and I am very proud of him for that. :) One mark of a true friendship is defending each other against those who are bullies. After all, Emmanuel and Michael’s bond was a good one, and Michael was also a friend of Emmanuel’s family, too. :)

Watching his earlier work as a child actor shows he has a head on his shoulders. He is smart and I am glad to see him healthy, knowing that not all children actors fair out so well.

There was rumor that Michael had been inappropriate to Emmanuel so that his mother had put that friendship to a stop. Now we have Emmanuel spoke out loud to the public and people should stop distorting Michael and their friendship ... it's pure, innocent, loving and fun
It was nice to see a child actor who had a parent looking out for him rather than trying to rob them.

His mother was his manager, as it should be. Parents, if any of your kids becomes famous inn any way, please treat them as your kids and not a making machine. Let them develop through the process and keep showing the love only you can.
unfortunately not all parents are equipped to be good managers, sadly i wish most parents who had child stars learned to continue to treat them well as their child and not solely for money

I loved watching Emmanuel - I dreamed of being a star, even though life never turned out that way for me, he gave me the courage to dream big even if life looked at me as small
He is definitely an old soul! I'm rewatching Webster on Amazon Prime after so many years and really enjoying it. It's awesome to see what a wonderful adult he has become. ❤
I don't ever remember that... I wish I had something like that when I was little... But it makes my heart feel good that it is there for others.... That's why I pray to God every day that a child's voice will be heard and thay will be kept safe. Thank you for all that you do.
I love to see people that actually knew michael defend him. They knew who michael really was and they knew he would never do those horrible things. The reporters that would talk about michael never even met him so they have no idea what he's really like.

Just learning about Emmanuel thanks to a TikTok video of him being interviewed by Johnny Carson. He’s such a sweet soul, wish him happiness wherever he is.

Marie Sadler He actually says that there isn't a medical explanation for his short stature. He was actually 12 when he was chosen to play Webster; the character was 6 or 7 at the start of the series.
elsa1942 Emmanuel Lewis has a peculiar medical condition that is yet unnamed. This has kept his height quite short. He is 45 years old now and is 4’ 3” high, having grown only six inches since the age of 12. If someone is naturally short they will not be losing teeth at age 12 and 13, and still have a voice of a 5 year old, they would just be short. There is definitely something wrong with him. It's a rare form of dwarfism or soemthing. It is so rare that there is hardly anything written in medical literature about it.
@@iloveyou75204 its probably growth hormone or testosterone or the receptors. He may have grew normally but puberty never hit.
You just gotta Love Emmanuel such a genuine dude pure in heart you could see his authenticity all through his interview and when he spoke about Michael he remained with the same genuine honest composure reflecting the truth of his words.
Emanuel Lewis and Gary Coleman were the best two child actors I liked the best . Growing up in any generation wasn't easy , there are always scary things to deal with . His mother did an awesome job protecting him . Kudos Emanuel !

What a nice guy he is! I only saw the interview with him as a kid, and he was super articulate and very funny. It's rare but wonderful to see a seemingly positive story of a young actor growing up into a well adjusted, happy person.
I love that little dude, now he's all grown up and has a manly type of a voice. Would love to see him on television shows such as, well Heck I don't know any good shows that are still airing today.

He's amazing and seems so happy and positive. It's annoying how he's always asked about MJ though, even how he feels about being asked about Michael Jackson. Why can't they ever do an interview without bringing up Michaels name. It takes so much away from him as an individual. I like how eloquent and kind he is with his answers.
