Iâm going to my cousinâs wedding in Spain this upcoming spring, and this was very helpful! Thanks!
Glad to hear it!! ;)
I want moreeee :D loved it
This is actually super accurate! (Andalusian here!). I can't believe you covered so much stuff. Very well done video! loved it thanks a ton! (will totally share this with my guests from other countries coming to my wedding this May
I have read your blog about this at least 10 times before finding this video. It is very helpful. I am going to a wedding in Barcelona in September, but I wanted to prepare in advance. In the US, weddings only last a few hours. The wedding I am attending starts at noon and is expected to end at 3 AM. Would that still be considered a day wedding? Also, are there any types of fabric that are considered tacky or not fashionable in Spain?
Hello! If the ceremony is at noon that sounds like a day wedding to me! :)
Hi, thanks for the tips great help. I have a wedding in September in Bilbao, is it appropriate to wear a full light beige linen suit? Im more concerned with the linen suit as I dont know if linen suits are appropriate for Spanish weddings. Thank you.
Hello! I have never see anyone wear a linen suit to a wedding here. ð I might check with the bride and groom on that one.
Would high platform sandals be ok to a Spanish day wedding. The wedding takes place outside. I am worried about high heels sinking into the grassy ground
Hello! If the wedding/reception is outside on grassy areas then that might be a good idea. Iâve also used âhigh heel saversâ - I gave them as gifts at my wedding because the reception was in a plaza with cobblestones. Hereâs an example m.es.aliexpress.com/item/1005003333638360.html
Can you show a Spanish wedding? I plan on moving to Spain. So, I figure I'll get married there...
This was mine ;) th-cam.com/video/QUCDStXfsBI/w-d-xo.html hope it helps!
Hi Kate Can you tell me what is appropiate for a Spanish wedding ? My fiancÃĐ has family that lives in Spain .
Like what kind of bridal wear.
@@kimprothro6024 Hello! Are you getting married in Spain? What time of year? Really the bride can wear whatever she wants...she's the queen of the day! ;) If it's helpful here's a clip from my wedding and what I wore: th-cam.com/video/QUCDStXfsBI/w-d-xo.html
@@katestraveltips3677 Thank You for getting back to me. I am the bride to be. July 17. 2021 is the date we decide. I need a Spanish interpreter
We're going to get married in Aragon
@@kimprothro6024 Congratulations! :) I went to a friend's wedding in Aragon a few years ago, the wedding experience was similar to what we see down here in Andalucia. Pronovias is a popular wedding dress brand here so you could look to their spring collection for inspiration on what to wear! I've also got these tips on spring looks (for guests) if that helps: www.katestraveltips.com/2017/04/29/what-to-wear-to-a-wedding-in-spain/
So can I not wear a long dress for a day wedding? Also, here in nyc you dress to impress. I usually wear gowns to weddings, would that not be appropriate for a Spanish wedding. The women in the pictures you showed seemed to have it toned down lol thanks Iâm just super unsure and I donât want to disrespect anyone or stick out
Hey Mel, you can wear a long dress to a day wedding. The main thing is to not wear accessories like a fascinator or pamela with a long dress. If youâre still not sure you can check if your outfit will be appropriate with the bride and groom. ;)
Kate's Travel Tips thank you so much for your reply! Super helpful! Now I just need to find someone to do my hair in Seville and Iâm done worrying lol
@@Parisbella219 Don't stress too much! You'll have so much fun, some of the best weddings I've been to were in Seville ;)
03:00 "...I don't think I've ever seen anybody wear black to a wedding here..." 06:16 - DOH!
ð I think thatâs navy, but in any case I still wouldnât wear black, I havenât seen anyone wear it to the weddings Iâve attended in Andalucia.
Im fron Andalucia and I agree with Kate. Dont wear white and dont wear black.
