Thanks for the video. Mark. Just bought a Trophy and like you I am not feet flat so have got a lowering kit. Great to see how it is fitted and the info about the silencer is really useful.

both great bikes and as on my channel i've owned both, have to say the pan seems better built and feels more on the road . did you watch my isle of white trip on here on the triumph , all the way there and back on one tank! , but as said both good but does come down to what you like
I did just the rear and it was fine but I did have to lower the lights a little that's the only thing , it really did help and made no difference to the handling but a big difference how it helped me thanks for watching
Those bikes are monsters.. have you done any videos on the vtec vfr800 ? Once seen your gxer750 video and a bit torn between the two. I have a gsr600 at the mo which i take out fairly regularly for a good blast but don't really feel the need for a 1000cc sport. Any other recommendations please. Thanks in accordance advance

Great vid! I have a question: just bought a used trophy se, I think it came with lowering links cause the bike came with spares links. I want raise it what was the measurement of the stock link?
Hey Mark, my friend has a 1996 trophy, he is the same height as you and can only get his toes on the ground, we are having trouble finding the kit in Australia, can you please send me a link of where i can it please?? thank you
that's a early one and not sure if they make one for yours , best google search it or contact a company that sell them and ask could they make or do one for you bud
Hi Mark, how has the bike been since you lowered it?..I am thinking of getting a late Trophy to replace my RT and reading your posts on this we are the same height etc but I may go for the 25mm lowering kit. Has your better half found it better to get on and off the bike also?
All round it was great for both of us Really made a difference and when I was on my own I still could raise it up if needed when I had luggage on Defo worth doing and great bikes to ride Check out my trip to the isle of white video on here
Hi Mark watched your video on lowering your trophy. Just want to know how tall are you as I want to make a comparison for my height when I get mine! Cheers Rob
hi rob I'm 5.8 29/30 leg and after the lower kit as in the video it was much better and with the setting you could still life it up onto another setting I have many other videos on my channel you also might like to watch mark
sadly yes, I have to say after my little off at Yarmouth ( video on here) it worries me with the height and I still wanted to tour so I got the trophy and as you see lowered it too now I feel much better with both feet on the floor and it's still a great tourier with loads of kit on it too what do you think bud mark
Just added my stock/regular size links because the low ones were not working for me (came with the bike used that way) The stock links I feel changed the steering for the better as well as the center stand operation. So I ended up putting the bolts from the left side keeping the nuts on the right so if I have to switch back I will not have to remove silencer
What I meant to say is how Tall are you & what is Your Inseam ) the inseam in a pair of pants from the crotch to the bottom of the leg, or the length of this I'm looking at buying a Triumph 12 Tiger but in only 5' 10" tall with a inseam of 30" the bike my be to tall for me
ha haha , I have to say I looked at that for a while and had to guess what you were talking about i'm 5.8 and inside leg of 29/30 so these with the lower kit will be great for you as you can still adjust the pre sets and make it higher with luggage and pillion

i have a 1200 bandit and a triuph sprint st they do look intimidating to start with.but as soon as they get above 10 mph all the weight drops away im 5' 10" and 61 years old now you would notice in a corner they are absolutely planted to the road no drama like a smaller bike that can twist and buck you have to work a lot harder, but you can just tip in (they are a bit slower than a small bike turning) give one a go .the one thing with a big bike like my 2 with massive torque they can be ridden at 30 mph in top gear open the throttle and when you quietly rumble up to about 5000 revs look at the speedo your now doing about 120 mph no drama !!! have a go you will love it. keep it shiney side up .
Good night, Dear Mark, I would like to know where you got the suspension lowerer for your Trophy, because I also have one and I have fallen with it 3 times. you could send me the manufacturer and the part code with the contact so that I can ask for an equal.
