Imagine if we got a mix of animal and scenery pack, 8 animals and scenery, with Islands there can be 4 animals with very unique rigs, and the others like Anoa, Caribbean Flamingo and Lar Gibbon or something else would be cool, exhibit animal, who knows
Central Asia could work well for a scenery pack, plus we could get animals like the Takin, Markhor, and golden snubnosed monkey
Just realized that shoebills are no longer considered storks, that’s a mistake on my part! Whoops lol
I do believe that Island Pack is going to be a scenery pack DLC for Planet Zoo
I find it interesting how the last pack actually fits this season much more with both the theme and the fact it tried something new (the first DLC to add multiple species of exhibit animals). Islands and rainforests seem to be the most likely themes but it could be another wildcard like Wetlands, Conservation and Twilight. I think it will probably be another animal pack as a course correction back to the standard formula but an Easter related scenery theme (probably either a domestic/petting zoo pack with rabbits or literal Easter Island heads in an island pack) is equally possible.
I will be so mad if we don't get a petting zoo pack, the next 4 packs should go, Islands, Higlands, Petting Zoo/Childrens Zoo, and the final pack should be a scenery/animal pack and will have the most requested things, it's the last pack they can do something crazy for it.
Islands pack: Tasmanian devil, northern brown kiwi, sea otter, tree kangaroo and loorikets (walktrough exhibit)
I would love to see another species of Anteater, maybe the silky anteater, or Northern Tamandua
It's been about 3 months since the last dlc, planet zoo is up to something
I just want to clarify that April 4th is most likely to be the launch day for the next pack, but as far when we can expect news, Im saying that March 21st is the earliest we could start to hear news about the next pack. It could be next Tuesday when we hear news, but it may very well be later in the week, or the following week. Just something to keep in mind! We’re very close though :)
i think the golden snub-nosed monkey is one of the best additions. If you dont believe me search them on youtube. They have a diff behavior than other primals.
I think for sloths they would do that when they get birds or aviary style exhibits. They could also go in the butterfly- bat walkthrough exhibit because they would be like normal exhibit animals and just sit still until you go away and then they would move or not.
I also think we could get something like an outcrop pack with animals that life on rocks and cliffs and stuff like perenties hyraxes klipspringers and yellow footed rock wallabies.
I’d love to see a Petting Zoo Pack: Goat, Donkey, Alpaca, Cow and a Shetland Pony. Or a Bird Pack: Secretary Bird, Pelican, Crane, Mute Swan, Duck and Humboldt Penguin
Urggg we need to get something soon. This huge void I have for pz needs to be filled 😩. Grasslands feels like FOREVER ago
I really like the animal wishlist and speculation and putting them into likely and unlikely category tier
Great round up! I got four I really wanna see soon, hopefully this year - Wolverine, Red River Hog, an Old World Porcupine, and a Sloth. I'm hoping they all make it in.
This was such a fun watch! Really interesting take on the next DLC. I'm definitely with you (after watching and hearing your take!) that it's very likely to be a scenery pack. You also raise a good point about Frontier typically trying something new/different with the spring DLCs.
An islands pack could definitely be in the mix given the animals it could allow. The scenery opportunities there are pretty limitless. And that might be a good spot to introduce a mixed-species bird aviary habitat which would be "different" for a DLC (I know folks are lukewarm on this actually happening but hey -it would be "different" LOL). FWIW, though, I think, a jungle/tropical pack could provide very similar content scenery-wise with a similar animal roster and if they are going for birds... Would allow for birds that are a bit more "obvious" (e.g., macaws, toucans).
And a petting zoo/domestics pack with more barn and gardening scenery could be fun. And a nice way to add more backstage items, more foliage, etc. I suspect there would be hints toward this one in the feature update (e.g., guests being able to touch and interact with certain walk-through habitat animals such as llamas). Oh and if they call it domestics? One could make a very solid argument that the dromedary camel might fit in there! Same for parrots. Would be an odd combo, so it's potentially unlikely but... Just a thought!
I believe there is a decent chance that next DLC could be an animal pack, only because we got the two scenery packs in a row.
I personally like the idea that they will continue a pattern set by the grasslands and wetlands packs - so we might see highlands, drylands, woodlands, and maybe islands in this vein.
I think that a desert (or “drylands”) animal pack is very likely at some point. That would be when we get the Dromedary, and I believe the Hamadryas baboon as well. The Sulcata tortoise, Perentie, Collared peccary, and perhaps the Addax could be the other choices.
I don’t think it’s too crazy to suggest that the first DLC of the year could be aviaries. That would open up the rest of the year to focus on adding more birds to the game. I won’t get my hopes up though.
I don't think we get flying birds in the game at all... since that requires a complete overhaul for the games mechanics as a whole.
I agree flying birds are very unlikely. It’s more likely we will get more ground birds since those are easier to rig and the mechanic is already there.
@@nickdentoom1173 I don’t blame you for thinking we’ll never get free flying birds. But Planet Zoo already includes complex 3 dimensional pathfinding and movement with climbing and swimming animals, so while it isn’t quite the same, the framework exists. It’s not a simple feature to add, but it doesn’t seem that it would require a complete overhaul.
@@AlmightyThagomizer Climbing and Swimming were in the game from the start though... flying was not. Which means the game needs to get a complete overhaul in terms of design features and coding.. which can totally destroy the current game as is.
@@nickdentoom1173 Nope. At launch animals could only swim on the surface of the water, in "two dimensions" so to speak, or walk on the bottom like the hippos. "Deep Swimming", in other words swimming in all 3 dimensions, was introduced post-release alongside the Aquatic Pack. So there is even precedent for Frontier introducing a new 3 dimensional movement system to the game post-launch. Frontier even retroactively added support for Deep Swimming to several pre-existing animals later on, which wouldn't be necessary for flying.
So listen, not saying that it's guaranteed, nor that it would be "easy." Just saying I think it's possible. Maybe.
Interesting list. I would add a few more types of animals: 1) African leopard. It’s like with a camel, I still don’t understand why it wasn’t in the game from the very beginning. Let me collect the "Big Five" at the zoo! 2) Asian lion. There are never too many lions, right? 3) Wild boar. Maybe not the most original animal, but in Europe it is common. 4) Hummingbirds and budgerigars. just add them to the new exposure. 5) More monkeys and primates! More! Give me another gibbon! and baboons! And macaques! and someone from south america! and a river or mountain gorilla (although this is unlikely, I admit)! Seriously, if everything is more or less good with great apes in the game, then ordinary monkeys are criminally few!
6) Additional types of giraffes and zebras. Since we now have two wildebeest .. 7) donkeys, sheep, goats, Vietnamese pigs... but only with petting zoo mechanics. So that visitors can feed them, scratch them ... maybe even a new store selling food for them. 8) Pheasants. All it takes is to redraw the peacocks. 9) Pelicans, swans, ducks, geese... They don't have to fly, in real zoos these birds live in open ponds. 10) Hares or rabbits. 11) Jerboas or gerbils as exhibition animals. I would also like more decorations for educational areas. To be able to build a museum or a lecture hall without, as we say, dancing with a tambourine. And more decorations for gift shops.
I'm like 95% confident the DLC will be announced on Friday. The livestream will be announced tomorrow, the actual livestream will be on Thursday, and the DLC will be announced on Friday. This follows the exact pattern of the last 2 DLCs. I think its a scenery pack and will release on April 4th. Thats 11 days between announcement and launch (24th - 4th) the EXACT amount of days that followed the last scenery pack (Twilight Pack). Plus no DLC has ever came on the 4th, the closest being SA pack on the 7th. Also every DLC in the spring launches 1 week before Easter. It makes perfect sense. Im hoping for Islands DLC to fit with spring time.
I think the dromedary will be an aniversary animal
Is it weird to say that something like a kiwi or shoebill wouldn't scratch the bird itch for me? I'm mainly concerned with the kinds of birds that are very common in real zoos but absent in PZ, like waterfowl, guineafowl, and something like the grey crowned crane. Two mammals you didn't mention but I think are very possible are the black and white colobus monkey (mantled guereza) and the Patagonian mara.
Also, alligator snapping turtles would function perfectly well as exhibit animals. Despite their size they barely move so 4x4x4 square meters is actually perfectly adequate for them.
I have a feeling we will get small birds in the next packs and then they will release an avian pack with medium and big birds
Heres a prediction
Islands animal pack:
Tasmanian devil

Kiwi
Little blue penguin
Walrus

Three toed-Sloth
Wild boar
Some sort of Hedgehog
Some sort of Weasel

Red cardinal
Avian pack:

And a final free update with some remodels, theme makers toolkit, console edition and the dromedary camel(i have a feeling they will put the dromedary camel as the last animal)
Oops i meant to put the red cardinal with the woodlands pack and before the anniversary animal
a serious lack of birds, monkeys and reptiles
I would certainly love to have jackals and coyotes!
Wisent being unlikely and now being in the game is mad
I would love to see if the game manages to add Japanese or Chinese Giant salamander.
Both of the biggest Amphibians of the world and would make and awesome addition as the first Big exhibit amphibians
I also think we’re very close to a DLC announcement. The devs been playing in their Franchise zoo this week. I’m watching and waiting so see when they are going to do their DLC livestream. It will probably be Tuesday. I think it will exciting to see what their theme will be for Spring.
I am also a big fan of seeing the Sichuan Takin added to the game
The fossa and the red river hog and the sloths is here in the Tropical Pack. Also, the name of the DLC is tne Tropical Pack and Lar gibbons and Asian water monitors are simiar animals what you want in the DLC in 2023.
Well. I am curious of the flying birds. This Table features the Aviary Birds, which are allowed to fly freely. Meaning they can fly around the area opened in a habitat, identical to the habitat animals in the open enclosures. Sandbox mode can prove the limits of how high the birds can fly, and land on the very top of a high pole. And just like other habitat animals, Aviary Birds can have animations of interactions, such as playing, nuzzling, or even fighting.
African Gray Parrot
African Sacred Ibis
Bald Eagle
Barred Owl
Blue and Gold Macaw
Brown Pelican
Californian Condor
Canadian Goose
Cattle Egret
Swan Goose
Common Raven
Sulphur Crested Cockatoo
European Griffon Vulture
Golden Eagle
Great Blue Heron
Great Hornbill
Great Horned Owl
Great White Pelican
White Stork
Southern Ground Hornbill
Harpy Eagle
Hyacinth Macaw
Kori Bustard
Laughing Kookaburra
Mallard Duck
Mandarin Duck
Mute Swan
Northern Red Billed Hornbill
Peregrine Falcon
Red-Tailed Hawk
Rosette Spoonbill
Rüppell's Vulture
Scarlet Macaw
Secretarybird
Snow Goose
Snowy Owl
Toco Toucan
Turkey Vulture
I would still love to see you review the grasslands pack and give your thoughts on the animals
I'd love a marine extension...
Who agrees? Sharks, dolphins, turtles, tropical fishes, abyssal fishes, that we could put in giant aquariums? I'd love that...
@Thrive all these animals are really great choices dude ^^, and I really truly hope all these predictions come true pal ^^. All your facts make sense and I’m sure planet zoo will add them. I really hope for the Wolverine as well and there’s plenty planet zoo can do with these , so I hope this comes true ^^
@Thrive with a wide variety of habitat and theme packs, lots of these incredible animals could come true , and perhaps depending if this game ever ends , if we get a Planet Zoo 2 , all these animals could be really possible as well ^^
Let’s not give up hope ^^
The fossa is confirmed, but I’d really like a Madagascar pack, especially since most animals I wanted from different continents with a few exceptions are all pretty much added, I’d love a Madagascar pack with the aye aye, coquerel’s sifaka, Nile crocodile, a walkthrough exhibit bird like the Malagasy blue pigeon, vasa parrot, or a completely different bird, with some exhibit animals like the Malagasy giant chameleon, a moth, another reptile or insect, and the mouse lemur
Imagine them doing a pack for recent extinct animals? like a revival pack.
Animals like, the bluebuck, aurochs, quagga, western black rhino, Pinter island tortoise and the Famous And unique Thylacine.
These would be the best picks that wouldn’t feel too off.
Especially since the Thylacine where once in zoos.
I doubt that due to the fact there extinct and planet zoo tries to be realistic, maybe they could make another game for those kind of animals however
@@kaleytooley2020 yeah, but still, some animals are very recently extinct and do are seen in zoos, like the thylacine and quagga, so it wouldn’t look too off Id say
@@sleipnirthe8th339 I could see them doing some really extinct ones in the 2000’s but not the quagga, maybe the thylacine
@@kaleytooley2020 why not the quagga?
It’s just a brown zebra with striped legs that went extinct not even a century away from the thylacine, plus it also was featured in zoos, nothing that off here.
@@sleipnirthe8th339 well the quagga was extinct 100 years ago, I do apologize tho I thought the thylacine was extinct in 1960’s
An Islands pack must be scenery or else I'm gonna cry because of all the scenery we missed like imagine a Polynesian building and more!
I’m still hoping for the golden jackals, black-backed jackals, coyotes, African wolves, Indian wolves, brown hyaenas, aardwolves, Maasai giraffes, African forest elephants, frilled lizards, horned toads, anoas, chameleons, geckos, and rheas, as well as these vegetation like cycads, American oak trees, lodgepole pines, sword ferns, traveller’s palms, kelp, and reef sceneries, crystals(used as decorations and natural nightlights), and other features like elevators, hotels, gift shops, new animal enrichments like dodgeballs, laser robots, styled showers, artificial carcasses, artificial beehives, pillows, and others, and crossovers of our favorite franchises(TV series, movies, etc.) that featured animals, etc.. Other than that, I agree! Let’s hope for either an Island DLC, a Mountain DLC, a Desert Animal DLC, and/or an Ultimate Animal DLC.
I really want the Marine Iguana as a full habitat animal with diving.
Oceania pack animals are tasmania devil, kiwi, quokka, little blue, flying fox
MARCH 21st?!! NOW I’LL FINALLY BE HYPING THAT DAY UP!!🤩😆
March 23rd makes more sense if you look at past reveal streams. Twilight and Grasslands being on Thursdays
I wish I had the game and it would be cool if they had the Tiliger for everyone else
I'm personally more interested in packs that expand upon game mechanics than those that simply add scenery or animals. Maybe packs focused on a specific variety of animal, For example a "Cat Pack" that would not just add a few more felines but give us loads more feline enrichment and behavior that all the cats can use.
I hope at some point we do get more birds as we don’t have all that many in game. I’d like to see sloths, porcupine and some smaller monkeys, Tamarin or Marmoset.
Fossa and Lar Gibbon confirmed. Sadly this means we're going without the Tasmanian devil for the third time in a row.
THE KING IS BACK BABY
Of course he's back. He wants that free dlc so he'll make a few videos and then dissapear for another 3 months
I really think we should have a New Zealand Pack there's plenty of cool animals (not Just the birds) in this country and really nice Rain Forest habitats
Please....flying birds for aviaries, like parrots, colourful tropical birds, eagles and owls.
Also I would love birds like various ducks, swans, storks, pelicans etc so we can add them to lakes and ponds.
Finally, some colourful ground birds like pheasants, partridges, junglefowl etc.
My Wishlist is
Animal packs
Deserts animal pack
Rainforests animal pack
Islands animal pack
Highlands animal pack
Greater Asia animal pack
Woodlands animal pack
Nocturnal animal pack
Oceania animal pack
Savannah animal pack
Aviary expansion pack
Aquarium expansion pack
Amazon animal pack
Endangered animal pack
Yeah, I agree marine animals are unlikely as the mechanics aren’t there for fully aquatic animals.
Maybe it could be tropical plants
we should get a critically endangered pack with animals like zanzibar leopard, ivory billed woodpecker and saola
Can we really have too many rhinos?😍 Also really having my hopes up for a wolverine!
We need more waiting birds in general
If you want heron let's go for a great blue or a green heron
If you want ibis let's go for a white, or scarlet ibis
If you want a spoonbill let's go for a roseate spoonbill
If you want an egret let's go for a cattle or great egret
If you want a stork let's go for a shoebill, maribou, or painted stork
If you want another crane let's go for a gray crowned or sandhill crane
If you want another flamingo let's go for and American or Chilean flamingo
I would love to make a massive habitat with all of these in it like how it is at my local zoo ide also want them to add some water fowl, loons, and grebes to also add to this massive thing or make ther down separate massive habitat
Tropical pack!
Fossa
Red river hog
Lar gibbon
Asian water monitor
Brown throated sloth
New Zealand! Bring on the kiwi.
New pack are tropical pack, arid pack, oceania pack, eurasian pack
Wait jackals are another needed canine and they aren't a wolf or fox thing there kinda in-between oh ya coyotes could be an alternative to a jacket because they kinda fill similar roles
I’m hoping we get 8 new animals
I NEED TREE KANGAROOS!
Zoo Tycoon made an add on Arabian Nights , with monuments , plants , Hamadryas , Mongooses , could have also Nubian Ibex ,Persian Leoprd, Bustards and some arabian snakes or lizards , Gazelles , arabian oryx ,
Collered peccary in the game
Or a Hawaiian plants pack
i hope thay add a kiwi
kinda weird that we still don’t have kudu…
For me personally, I want the blackbuck most at the moment, but Kudu would be pretty cool
No not my saiga antelope I would love to put the with the prezwalski's wild horse
dolphin and orca
Scenary packs
Deserts pack
Rainforests pack
Islands pack
Highlands pack
Greater Asia pack
Nocturnal pack
Woodlands pack
Madagascar pack
Coastal pack
Autumn
Shoebills aren’t storks as they’re more closely related to pelicans
@@ThriveF17I also would like to say that Emperor Penguins do have a presence in zoos mainly in Sea World and Japan, not to mention it’s presence in the Zoo Tycoon games would give it a high reason to be in the games since they’re now adding more animals from the zoo tycoon games like the Striped Hyena, Caracal and Blue Wildebeest. Plus it’s far more superior than it’s ripoff counterpart the King Penguin
How long do you guys think this games life service will continue for? Hopefully this isn’t the last year
Little blue penguins
😂😂😂
Bro thinks he’s Gamer Empire/Reviewgen 💀
Personally I think the next back will be a Bird Scenery Pack, but then it would probably be an Island Animal Back which would perhaps be followed by a Desert Scenery Pack
My wishlist still:
VERY NEEDED: Tasmanian Devil / Crested Porcupine / Secretary Bird / Kiwi / Takin / Markhor / Shoebill / Saiga / Spectacled Bear / Honey Badger / Brown Pelican / Aye-Aye / Alligator Snapping Turtle / Generuk / Golden Pheasant / Southern Ground Hornbill / Leopard Seal / Victoria Crowned Pigeon /

DON'T MIND: Dromedary / Black Rhinoceros / Great Kudu / Dik-Dik / Bush Dog / Coati / Baboon / Ocelot / Serval / Mara / Sifaka / Pallas's Cat / Tamandua / Addax / Rhea / Wild Boar / Giant Eland / Mountain Goat / Aoudad / Moufflon / Chamois / Roseate Spoonbill / Puffin / Elephant Seal / Wild Yak / Gray Fox / Bat Eared Fox / Topi / Saddle-Billed Stork / Alpaca /
MEH! African Leopard (I will not buy any pack that has this cheap clone in it), American Black Bear, another Lion, Zebra, Elephant, Giraffe, you get the point, Dinosaurs, Fantasy creatures, whales, another Otter.
Also, F. the real world zoo's I still want my Shoebill, Saiga and Leopard Seal in the game! Just for fun! They are unique animals some of the best looking on the planet, you can't have them because real world? Who cares for the real world, this is a game!
i am kind of disappointed about compulsive fixation on mammals in this game. the new generation exhibits and diving animations should have been leading to big water tanks with sharks, sea turtles, piranha swarms, or even coral reefs with clown fish loops. maybe the issue is, that those tanks would usually be in houses and the construction is still too complicated for most casual players.
Same, it's starting to feel repetitive and I haven't been buying these packs for quite some time now.
I would also prefer The African Leopard and The Asiatic Lion
Imagine an Islands pack with - Marine Iguana, Hawaiian Monk Seal, Fossa, Kiwi, and Galapagos Painted Locust as the exhibit animal. This pack could have all sorts of island and beach themed scenery and building materials.
Island Animal Pack🦩🏝
North Island Brown Kiwi, Matschie's Tree Kangaroo, Coquerel's Sifaka, Caribbean Flamingo, Southern Rockhopper Penguin,
Lowland Anoa, Sumatran Rhino and exhibit Veiled Chameleon or Lord Howe Island Stick Insect.
