I couldn't be happier with the career path that I am on.. Yet, watching this video gave me a deep gut feeling that I should have turned toward Motovlogging. The Baron got to stay in a lovely hotel, and thrash a gang of top spec bikes, all to review a tire. (A tire that I am now likely to buy) ;) Gentlemen, please, stay the course! Live the good life for the rest of us poor souls out here breaking rocks!
Had me smiling 10 seconds into the vid. Thank you for continuing to post content in a unique man/boy way that I totally relate to. I'll be interested to hear whether or not youd choose these over the Michelins.
Have you thought about making a podcast? Most of the stuff you're talking about I don't know anything about but listening to you two talk is entertaining.
Tyres are the most important thing a bike owner can influence when it comes to performance and safety. This most of us know. What I did take from the vid was the fact I must get on a track day to improve my mad skills baby. Thanx ladies! Lovin your dedication!!
Really these are great. A friend who i do track days with rode 7(!) trackdays with a set and it wore very evenly. It is still driveable today. Can definitely recommend
i was having trouble picking a tire, metzler m7rr sounded good on paper and few reviews but there just werent enough indepth reviews on them, and you guys just sold me on the s21
Great vid as usual guys, i recently got back into riding after 7 years off a bike due to a neck problem and because of this rather than go back to an R1 that i would really like to do as thats what i had before (2009 R1) i had to think about a better riding position for my neck and hence i got a new MT10SP that come standard with the previous Bridgestone S20, i am amazed at the grip levels these things have and also how good the MT10SP is as a Sports bike, every bit as good if not better than my old 09 R1 and the first time i bought a new bike and didn't want to throw the tyres away for something better, i will really happy to give these S21 a go for the next set.
I know this is a old thread, but I wanted to chime in on the S21's. I tried them on my tricked on 09' FZ1 back in 2017, then I came across a new pair to cheap to pass up...so I mounted them on a highly modified MT-10 in the summer of 2019. I freaking roasted these things and I've run them all...trust me. Obviously they don't grip like the GP-A Pro's or slicks I run on the street and track, but they were still hooking up and driving forward under lean on the edge and on the fat part of the tire. I was heading home from my commute to work giving them one last flog before I changed them out...I couldn't believe they were still providing grip. I'm used to riding tires basically to the cord. I know you guys are going to trash me saying...this is unsafe. Obviously you could run over a nail or object and have a blow out on a brand new tire too...I've had it happen...so don't start trashing me too much when you don't know my riding experience. I've been riding street 42 years. I just wanted to show you want proper even tire wear looks like...Ha Ha. The S21's work pretty good...even though they are an older design. I got the pair of 200/55/17 - 120/70/17 mounted for $60.00 USD...at this price I would run these for ever, but you don't come across deals like that everyday. Later...cheers i.imgur.com/nPOqi8k.jpg i.imgur.com/5gEKEBg.jpg i.imgur.com/SdqtfzH.jpg
Looking forward to your Barcelona trip test. Hopefully there will be a little rain on the way - for testing purposes, of course! One of my top five most uncomfortable bike memories was riding Bridgestones in the rain for a couple days. To be fair, it was about 15 years ago and technology of all manufacturers has improved incredibly since, but I was scared to the point of exhaustion after two days and, with only about a 1000km on them, I swapped out for different ones and have never touched the brand again. Later on the trip I met a guy from Seattle, where they know something about rain, and he had the same experience, but changed his after about an hour!
I can tell that Baron loved that R1M again ;) that looks like a dream come true though, beautiful track, beautiful bikes and well earned! Although I'm definitely jealous...
Great review So much to talk about a brand spanking new tyre and yet keep it iteresting and for most funny as well !! love the stuff you at 44 teeth are pooping out . keep up the good work and keep trying to change the bussiness, and make it a little less serious but yet interesting!! . Big thumbs up from The Netherlands . Dirko

5000km on the s21, and i think they might last another thousand but i will replace them before i dont like the last 500km on any tyre, the rear likes to spin/slide a little bit now on corner exit but very gently and not scary, and the front still grips and gives me confidence, ill get another set this month before aragon wsbk. i really didnt expect good mileage given how grippy they are for a street tyre nice job bridgestone!
Good feedback on the rear. All Street/track version Bridgestone tires I've tried do get gummy after 10+ minutes out on the track. I don't you'd get more than 1.5 track days out of a rear on a liter bike in the hands of a faster rider. I went through a rear RS10 on my 1199 in one day. Towards the end of the day my TC was working overtime. I did like the front end feel all day, though.
just fitted an S21 on my 2017 R1, and i love it, going to last longer than the RS10 as well. So far so good! - aggressive, but careful street riding ;)
Great work guys, really enjoying your shenanigans and after the 'Weren't they on Xfactor one year?' comment I hope you try and do the announcer's voice when doing the Battlax Barcelona ride (crosses fingers and kind of hopes). Can't wait for the next vid
I need new rubber for my street blade, from my basic research all of the main tire brands have similar performance to one another within their tire category. Go with which ever one you like the most.
I had Battlax II on my CBR600 and I loved them, there's something a little soft about them but in the right way and although I had a couple of interesting white paint moments - that was my own fault
S21's on my '07 R6 were awesome compared to the Q3+. Q3+'s only lasted only a third as long and were brutal when the temp dropped below 10 Celsius outside.
These or Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas? I have the Pirellis right now and love the grip on track and the fact that they last a couple track days and a few thousand road miles.
I really like the couch setting, when you two are discussing whatever you are discussing in that video. But wouldn't it be cooler with some nice pictures or other things in the back? Something cool? With... colors? Like in a real studio 😀 Anyway, I can't wait for the next video! Keep up the good work!

Has the profile changed on the S21? Looks to resemble a track tyre more with the flatter shoulder. Unless i missed it mentioned in the video as always haha.

+Jigsaw #3 Dual compound tires have harder compound in the middle both front and rear for increased mileage while touring. Tyre flex and stability depends alot on the carcass design, not so much on tread compound.
Miika thank you for the clarity. A few weeks ago I overheard someone mention; the (front dual compound) was designed opposite of the rear tire to make it stick better in turns but when I tried to grasp the notion for reason....it clearly did not sound logical.
Great intro part song thingy. Especially that moment when you flip over the R1. Can you compose a 30 min vid with these kind of music and images? (like Barons IOM TT prview) #goosbumps

Hi Baron, I remember in previous video you mentioned you are pretty new to bikes. Just wondered how you got up to your level and experience on the track? Did you just jump in the deep end and wing it or did you get some professional advice? I seen Al went to that Superbike School to help his fine tune his track skills. Would he recommend it?
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Love the belch. It's hilarious because I belch the same exact way since middle school. And I'm a 33year old man now... And still belch like that. 😐
+Benedocta my 2015 r1 got 4700 miles out the s20 evo rear tire. This s21 claims to be 36% better on mileage. 5000 miles plus should be no problem. One word. "Technology"
My main reason for trusting the opinions of these guys was pretty much summed up in the last ten seconds of this video
+Harry Highsides had to go watch the last ten secs, was not disappointed
very much true!
Looks like a blast
+snowcat So sweeeeeet! Best track time ive ever had.
+snowcat Thats weird, shouldn't you be whinging about something?
+Turtle That's the old snowcat ;)
I couldn't be happier with the career path that I am on.. Yet, watching this video gave me a deep gut feeling that I should have turned toward Motovlogging.

Top lads !
few more product/accessories/tyre/bike/double decker reviews and we will be sorted!
Cheers for the time put into this!
Its impressive how far, something "simple" like tyres have come this far during the last 50 years
I got s20 on my Yamaha FZ1N and they are just great, specially in the rain.
LOVE the S21's... my go to tire and I always tell my friends to get them too.
Have you tried the Michelin Road 5 tires? These are my Go To tires. I would like to give the S21 a try too. What do u love about the S21 tires?
@@Kevin_Ho70 probably that they can actually get some front end feel and confidence...
Really these are great. A friend who i do track days with rode 7(!) trackdays with a set and it wore very evenly. It is still driveable today. Can definitely recommend
You are leading a dream life with getting on all these bikes! What great experiences.
Excellent video fellas, with some great shots of that beautiful circuit.

awesome review, spot on "track days are about having fun, not stressing over 500 quid tires"
Baron you've officially made it. What a fucking trip you had. Well done mate, well deserved.
I can tell that Baron loved that R1M again ;) that looks like a dream come true though, beautiful track, beautiful bikes and well earned! Although I'm definitely jealous...
Great video & information, and not just about the tires. Greets from Croatia.
Baron-life is getting pretty busy and awsome!
Good review. Nice editing btw. Love the close up shots on the track and riding views.

Lol @ pooping out :)
Brilliant review and glad to hear they are a good choice for a 600 too
loving the 44teeth leathers and another stonking vid, love your work
Great review may try these on the blade after the Corsas wear out... Sound really good! Very enjoyable review as always!

Thanks, nicely rounded view and loved the intro footage!
Never had an issue using battlax tyres in the wet/dry/track or road on my ninjas seem to be one of the most grippiest tyres I've ever used.

waiting for the s22 video :)
Those opening shots are amazing!
I'm just glad that he is finally showing his face...
Its an incredible track. I've cycled round it at a much slower pace but all good fun.
cant wait to see the footage of the Barcelona trip!
just fitted an S21 on my 2017 R1, and i love it, going to last longer than the RS10 as well. So far so good! - aggressive, but careful street riding ;)
how long did your RS10 set last and what are the pros/cons of the RS10 vs. the S21 on your R1?

Got these last month on my RC8R. Great tyre
Haha, at 3:10, that wheelie guy is our national motorcyclist hero from Czech Republic :D

how do they cumpare to michelins power rs
well the sc2s on my s1krr is almost gone, will be looking at the diablo rosso corsa or s21s for the next set. leaning towards s21s at the moment.
I'm so jealous of you for that opportunity, but excellent reviews guys :-)
Woah! great vid! the yas marina circuit look beautiful :D
Lots of wheelies pulled by world recordman Pepa "Sršeň(Hornet)" Šiler. Glad to see that.
Lol dat final shot. You need to get yourself some tread wear decals for your tyres and save the white pens.
After watching this i bought the S21's. Thanks guys...
I stayed at the yas but i didn't get to hit the track, i bet it was an amazing few days.
These or Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas? I have the Pirellis right now and love the grip on track and the fact that they last a couple track days and a few thousand road miles.

+astsaft love to but so much shit to do it always sinks to the bottom of the list sadly...
So the real question is, are the S21's or Perelli Diable Rosso III's the better tire for street use in all weather?????
Keep up the great work guys!

Will it top the Dunlop Q3's! Bridgestone is always resting on the market for all the competition to release their goodies, then they release a upgraded (better than) model. They do this with road cars too.
Would you say its the best all rounder for day to day commuting if it were your money?
It would be awesome if you could share your opinion about how these s21 compare to the competition, namely metz m7, pirelli rosso 3 and rosso corsa, i only name those 3 because they come in 200 rear size.
the supercorsas that came stock wont last long, and i think they are a bit too soft for the road, in hot days are brilliant but here the weather is quite unpredictable.
Despite the fact that he was bribed by Bridgestone with that awesome holiday he sounded quite believable.
Bloody Hell, what a trip!
Would be interesting to see how these compare to the Pirelli Rosso 2's
Is this like the Michelin Pilot Road 4? Or would the pilot road be more road/commuting focused
lol the pr4 is a mostly touring, the least sporty of the sport touring tires. the s21 is mostly sport. major difference in cornering and performance. if all you do is ride Inc a straight line consider the pr4. if you actually ride the bike then the s21
What is your opinion on Pirelli Superbike sc2 tires for fast street usage in hot climate countries with minimal rain?
I want me some of those 44Teeth jumpers!
Ohhh did I hear you guys will be testing V02s?!?
you think there is enough 44 sticker on that helmet? track footage are sick!!!
Hrm, why doesn't this show up under 44Teeth? I only found it because it was linked off of BVG's Yas Marina videos.
what about vs a q3 or Rosso corsa? i think those are competitors? i love my Rosso corsas and I'd like to hear how they compare in grip and profile
So do you think these are ideal for a 250CC naked bike for everyday use ?
Just ordered a pair of Battlax's for my 125, apparently they stick like glue although don't last as long but I'm sure 13bhp isnt exactly going to be eating tyres :D
+Brandon Scales just remember to run them in easy for 75-100 miles after fitting. :)
33WingNuts will do, also got new higher pegs so the temptation to get my knee down will be hard to resist ;D
do you like the 2016 zx10r more than the new yamaha?
Can you do a uk test? All Bridgestone I tried from BT014 onwards don't work on British roads
+Richard Harris They are on my HP4 now so will let you know. We are riding from UK to Spain in April so loads to report from that one.
SOLD!!!
The burp was my favourite part
How do you compare it to the RS10 or to the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V2?
Has the profile changed on the S21? Looks to resemble a track tyre more with the flatter shoulder. Unless i missed it mentioned in the video as always haha.
Yeah the tire profile for both front and rear are changed.
cbr6 Awesome, may have to get invest in some for summer trackdays.
Due to the fact that I can get these tires for sub $200, they have gotten my attention. Now my question is, how do they compare to the Dunlop Q3?
What is the major factor between a 190 rear as appose to a 200 in lieu of performance....???
Dispite lean angle.
I'm hearing from some that it slows a rider down when switching from side-to-side.
+Jigsaw #3 it has a (slightly) larger contact patch.
I appreciate your feedback Baron and might I ask somewhat of a technical question....
Do you know whether if the "contact" in design on both front and rear tires are identical?!
Meaning in question - is the rear tire on this particular brand a (softer compound) in the middle and a (harder compound) for the sides; whereas the front tire is totally opposite of the rear for better leaning stability?

Miika thank you for the clarity.
A few weeks ago I overheard someone mention; the (front dual compound) was designed opposite of the rear tire to make it stick better in turns but when I tried to grasp the notion for reason....it clearly did not sound logical.
+Jigsaw #3 Dont forget that a larger tire makes the bike a little slower to turn. A 180 or 190 will turn much quicker than a 200.
Better than the Supercorsa Sp would you say?
Are these kind of in the same ballpark as a Rosso Corsa?
Bridgestones or Michelins, which do you prefer?
Great intro part song thingy. Especially that moment when you flip over the R1.
Can you compose a 30 min vid with these kind of music and images? (like Barons IOM TT prview)
#goosbumps
I just bought myself a set of Pirelli rosso 3
how do you not have more subscribers.as always a great vid
What was your favorite bike to ride at Yaz?
M7RR OR S21 ????
Mick Russell that is the question. I would like to know as well
M7rr is perfect I have been running them for 2 thousand miles, never had better tires including the rosso 3
I'm between s21,Rosso iii, and conti sa iii at this very moment. So tough 😩
I know this is a old thread, but I wanted to chime in on the S21's.
Hi Baron!
+TheRandomChannelTV Hi
Wow! You replied. Made my night :D
Baron, what's the ETA on the merch brah
Do I sense a 44Teeth tour series on the horizon!?
Nice pants at the end.
Hi love your videos can you buy your 44 hoodies?
Hi Baron, I remember in previous video you mentioned you are pretty new to bikes. Just wondered how you got up to your level and experience on the track? Did you just jump in the deep end and wing it or did you get some professional advice? I seen Al went to that Superbike School to help his fine tune his track skills. Would he recommend it?
By new I mean relatively new. Obviously not a total beginner haha
That R1M just sounds mint. Did Baron just purchase one? and if so.... will you stick to the RS10 over the S21?
+Bear_Moto he spend a bit of monies on that HP4, so probably not. At least for a bit.
He posted up a pic of a R1M in and out of the crate on Instagram, just curious to know if it's his or not.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Love the belch. It's hilarious because I belch the same exact way since middle school. And I'm a 33year old man now... And still belch like that. 😐
Oh, the tire review... I always wondered how a track day would be at midnight. Looks like so much fun
Nice experience 👍👍
+Benedocta my 2015 r1 got 4700 miles out the s20 evo rear tire. This s21 claims to be 36% better on mileage. 5000 miles plus should be no problem. One word. "Technology"
BVG IS SHOWING HIS FACE NOW!!!!!
Do a S22 next.
