This is brilliant. It's got those Daydreams vibes but with snow instead of surf. It has a great relaxed, fun, informative style and I am really looking forward to more.
Been here since party in the park days. Seeing Abe come up again every now and then reminds me of some of the best time's in my life. Never a bad video from Abe.
Excellent videos! I’m one of those runners who films with a GoPro. The trick is short sentences, run at a slower pace while talking or my fav mix in sitting the camera down! Nice to see you posting more often. Learned a great deal from your website over the years 🙌🏾
I am so happy I found your channel. Incredible content, a funny, awesome couple sharing adventures, AND you give us the camera settings. You will go down in history my friend as the best GoPro artist ever.
I found your materials very informative for the newbie. I really appreciate that you share your knowledge, inspirations for shots, and settings for nice footage.
Great vid! Really enjoying all your content and so happy to see you posting more often now. I'm catching a ton of tips and ideas on filming from watching this. I love how you put the gopro settings in the bottom left corner. Super insightful. Thanks Abe!
Hi this vid got me so pumped, heading up Mammoth in a week, prior to this its been almost 5 years since I've gone back, I'm a much better boarder this time around so it'll be riptastic...can't wait
Wow, just found your vid's. Thank you so much for describing the cam configurations. I don't get a lot of time to prep for my own 'home movies' and you really saved me a ton of time. Thank you.
Sweet video Abe! Been a big fan since the beginning and I’m stoked to see a vlog series from you! Especially one that exhibits lifestyle, sick action, AND tips!!! No one could do it better, keep it up!
The info card and comparisons are a great idea. Folks can pause to see what the setting are. I now have to try using timewrap at 10X vs auto or 30X. The explanations and tips perfect and helpful. I am looking forward to more of them. Thanks, K
Great vlog style! I am sure a large portion of your audience appreciates all the video settings you include. Very entertaining and informative. Cant wait for the rest of the ski season vlogs!
Hey, thanks so much for sharing your settings. Just one question: Is there a reason why sharpness is always on low? Does this have any effect on the footage quality (either positive or negative)? Thanks for this amazing quality content 🔥
Excellent 👊👊👊 always nice to see how you capture so beautiful image with the GoPro. Hope to see more content like this one in the coming months. Keep up!
Honestly, for us skiiers and snowboarders, the horizon level on max lens mod is a game changer for the gorpro. More so for snowboarders cuz we're always crouched on one side, but this is gonna make filming the slopes THAT much easier.
just ordered myself a hero 9 and max lens... finally upgrading from the hero 5 black... after getting every go pro hero, 1 thru 5 and then skipping 4 of them, it goes without saying that I'm freaking excited.
Awesome video. Quick question about that vertical mode: I do exactly how you say using hero10. Although the video is vertical, the actual footage is still horizontal, if that makes sense. When I watch it on my phone, for example, it is vertical, but everything in the frame is 90 degrees to left or right. Do you know what I am doing wrong? Thank you.
This is great, thanks for the info! It would be great to see what settings you are using on the 9. We are using ND's to achieve the 180 degree shutter in bright snowy conditions but definitely notice issues with the hypersmooth particularly when in boost. I saw Spenny was recommending shooting 5K 30 with a shutter of 1/90 but that shutter speed doesn't seem to be available in the latest factory firmware. Are you essentially sacrificing all motion blur for enhanced stability? I'd love to hear how you decide which is more important for a particular shot. Thanks!
Hey! I just wrote an article about this on my website - abekislevitz.com - normally I would say avoid the motion blur because it ruins the video; however, I can get away with it decently in snow situations where I’m follow cam-ing with a ski pole or something. I definitely wouldn’t recommend 180deg, that’s way too much chance for blur, but 1/120 or 1/240 will still get you some nice motion blur on follows. I haven’t looked much into locking shutter, I typically let the camera do it by using ND8 on sunny days and limit iso to 100. With auto shutter it gets me in a pretty good place typically. Check my article though !
@@abekislevitz Thanks a bunch! Great info and read the article but was having trouble leaving a comment which is why I asked it here. The article was awesome btw, very informative. Thanks!
So sick as always dude! Are you using the MediaMod mic or the onboard mic when you're on the snow? Also, is this shot in Flat or GoPro color in ProTune? Love your work man been following for YEARSSS
How does burst mode work on it? Continuous mode.. does it show the images crisp and clear??? Fires like 50 shots in 2 seconds and pick out which ones you want combined for the final photo.
Im just happy I finally found someone who puts the camera settings in the video
Ty for this and ty to Abe fir putting it in.

Wohooo FUN times 😍🤙 I believe Hero 9 is really all you need for filmmaking... soo many possibilities with it! Creativity is key! I Love it 🤙💯
I found your materials very informative for the newbie. I really appreciate that you share your knowledge, inspirations for shots, and settings for nice footage.
The use of camera settings in your view is what sets them apart
The camera settings during the shot is so helpful.
This has so much quality! Nice!

Glad to hear it! Yeah I mix up my timewarps all the time. The linear makes it soo much more stable, so you can get away with lower speeds.

Great comparison shot for Max lens! Thanks so much.
I loved the idea of lock the vertical version with the max lens. Thanks Abe!!!
Yep. Gonna need more of these. And I’m a little jelly your skiing in Cali and I haven’t hit the slopes yet in Utah.
