There are a lot of no-build videos out there; this is the first that bothered to actually make things look really pulled-together nice. Usually, everything is just plastic bins crammed up against each other and some ugly cot arrangement. Thank you for classing up the joint. 😊
Awww! Thank you so much. I am always thinking the same thing! Like, I love peoples innovation and simplicity, but can't help thinking, why didn't they make it cute?!?! LOL!
Came here to say the same thing! I can’t stand plastic bins but she made it look great!
People do what they can afford!!
Diane Your no build is beautiful and I’m 62 I want so much to buy a bus and I’m going too, you got a subscriber ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@patriciashort7908 Thank you so much!!! And I believe in you. You can do it. You got this!
I am 61 and want to do the same!!!! All the best. Yes, we can ❤
I have watched hundreds of van builts. Personally i prefer the no build. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!! I agree. The main reasons I love a no build are that I can use the van for other things (like moving furniture, etc), I can change the layout and design when I’m bored of it or it isn’t working well, I can put it together without having building skills, I can put it together in a short amount of time, and I can take the items out with me to another vehicle later.
I have been looking for a decent no build for YEARS! Thank you so much for this. Given me so many ideas, and your energy is infectious. Love how excited you are to share this creation with us. Blessings
Thank you so much!!! I was so very excited. I loved every minute of it. And can’t want to do more. I’d love to hear and see your ideas come to life. You so got this! Thanks for being here🥰
Love you're non build as well as you're happy, bubbly, positive personality!!! Just perfect!!❤
Awwww!!!!! Thank you so much!!! I appreciate your support. And thank you for being here and watching.
Love that you show that anyone can make this type of lifestyle possible ❤❤
Thank you so much!!! That was my goal. So many people want to do it (like me) but don’t have crazy building skills. And still want it to look nice.
Great non-build home on wheels. Love the shower curtain! Really cute! Well done!
@@user-vm5ud4xw6n Thank you so much!!! And thanks for watching🥰
I like the shower curtain too!
Love this! Can't wait to see what you do on the outside! Thank you for showing how it can be done on a tight budget! Beautiful!
Thanks so much! 😊
Love it! I have never seen a no build shuttle bus! Great job!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
This is absolutely fabulous.
Thank you so much!
Your home is beautiful. It's obvious you prepared for your video tour. I enjoyed it. Thank you🎉
Thanks so much! 😊
I love your personality so much! I would watch a whole series about you! I never even thought of a no build van before. Thank you for sharing!
Awww you are such a sweet person. Thank you for saying that. Thank you for watching :)
Diana, I love your energy and I love what you have done with the bus! I (52 years old) also just fulfilled a dream and finished my no-build build (bless Ikea, that place is perfect for van building) and spent some time touring Sweden and generally practicing being fearless. It was awesome.
(Also funnily enough, my lil van was also a retired wheelchair vehicle- these vans give you so many options and are generally cheaper, at least here they are)
We really can do so much more than we think we can, ESPECIALLY when we keep it simple (and make it cozy, lol.) Wishing you all the best!
@@lynnemarie7885 Thank you so much!!! And I am so proud of your courage and creativity! Yes, IKEA is wonderful🥰
You did a great job with your bus!!! Safe travels!!!

Very clever design. "I can't" because I'm losing my vision - can't drive anymore - but I live vicariously through genius' like you. 😎

Thank you so much! I wish more creative people like you, who have done this, would come forward with their videos! It's recently become illegal to be homeless in California. & come October 1st, that's exactly what I'll be. I can build a house from the ground up. But that's my biggest problem! I did way to much of that, & destroyed my spine...
Oh wow! That sounds so hard and painful. I’m sorry and I’m standing for you. So does that mean that people can’t live in vans in Cali anymore?
Nice yet simple and handles all a person's needs on the road. Really got me thinking now.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

@@rosanaprice8793 Thank you so much!!! You got this and I pray all of your questions are answered and your dreams come true!
This is the best ever!!! I am a 76 yr old woman in SoCal, in need of something like this for sure! Q: Age and size of the bus and where did you find it...and the cost if you don't mind sharing. Thank you for this!!! AWESOME!! 👍
Thank you so much!!! Yes go for it! You got this!
They are great questions. I’m not quite sure of the exact size of the bus. But I bought it for $5k. It’s a 2003 Ford. I bought it off Facebook marketplace. Found it a dealer in Wisconsin. Took a road trip out to get it.
Love the intro❤
Beautiful home!
@@BOSSIIBIITCH Oh wow! Thank you so much!!!
Very nice, and no built means that the fixtures in your bus are NOT built in. They are placed, and can be removed or taken out.
@@terryjohnson3283 Thank you!!! I definitely hear you. I would have to agree this “Build”, “no Build” thing is very controversial. There are lots of opinions. Some of us fall in the gray area. And I can totally relate to both sides. I personally feel that my bus fits more in the “no build” category because everything is removable except for those bathroom walls. I use my Bus for moving furniture as well so everything needed to be removable. And not screwed down.
Thank you so much for watching and thanks for your input. I appreciate you!
Yes I fuljoy this content I like your vibes and yes there is something I want to do so bad and it’s traveling to different places

Hello there from Cali 🤗🐕🦺🦮🐩🐕🦺🦮
Hello there! Thanks for watching!
I love this ❤, but how do you keep it warm when it’s cold? Is the butters insulated? Do you plan to insulate the bus? Still thank you for the inspiration😊
Thank you so much for your comment and question🥰
It’s not insulated. For myself I have a Mr. Buddy heater. But I will also put a link to a video below talking about vans with no insulation.
And also for my next no build I will be insulating it.
Thanks for watching!
Not a bad setup, though "no build" means that you haven't modified the vehicle from its factory configuration. Essentially it means no holes and everything can be put back how it was when it was new so it can be sold as a stock vehicle if the owner wishes to do so. Things like your hooks and hangers might have left permanent holes unless you've got them on some kind of backing rather than the chassis wall. Also, if your flooring isn't easily removable it might disqualify this as a "no build". If you do ever decide to sell it and you sell it as a camper, though, it really doesn't matter.
Ironically enough, you can custom make furniture and whatever you want with whatever tools you want as long as you're not modifying the existing vehicle. A lot of folks will anchor furniture or braces into the holes left behind by removing seat brackets or other preexisting features.
I could be wrong, this is just what I've learned from being in the vanlife space for a few years. I hope you and Pete have many great adventures!
Edit: Thanks for the affirmations at the end. Not a lady (the other half is), but still appreciate it. Thanks for sharing your build!
@@Brigand231 Thank you so much!!! I definitely hear you. I would have to agree this “Build”, “no Build” thing is very controversial. There are lots of opinions. Some of us fall in the gray area. And I can totally relate to both sides. I personally feel that my bus fits more in the “no build” than the “build” category because everything is removable except for those bathroom walls. I use my Bus for moving furniture as well so everything needed to be removable. And not screwed down. Also, it still has some seats in it and the track flooring under the vinyl. So my state still doesn’t classify it as a camper.
I definitely know there are so many differences and quirks. I’m just happy that we have the freedom to do things like this to explore and be happy.
Thank you so much for watching and thanks for your comment. I appreciate you!
This is cute, but no insulation it’s gonna be cold in winter and hot in summer then there’s condensation to worry about.
@@boslvdybarbie I totally hear you. This is a concern for a lot of people (including me). Check out this resource video that addresses these concerns. Maybe it can help. th-cam.com/video/lUAb4VCUHl0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NrBcYVEcjr-Y9U2b

Awwww! Thank you so much!!! Welcome to the family. So glad and grateful to have you here. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I'm so happy to see this! Your no build bus is awesome! Thank you for the tour! 🩷
Thank you so much!!!
Pete us looking good can't wait for the pain job.are u thinking a retro paint colors or something modern. I was saying nothing too feminine because you don't want to bring attention that it might be a single female traveling alone.also love the bathroom. Question, love the tile but is there a water proof material behind.cause I noticed there wasn't any caulk between the tiles.if so then great. And a bright color for exterior would be a great idea so not to absorb alot of heat.good job gurl u should be proud.❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you so much!!! Great ideas on the paint!🙌
As far as the tile, yes there is red guard behind the tile for waterproofing and there is clear silicone caulk on the grout lines. They just are showing up on the video.
But in all honesty I wouldn’t do it again this way. I’ll make a video about it later on.
Love her! She's a gag.. sure sure now..the singing.
Awww Thank you so much!!! And thank you for watching🥰
Dry toilets the way to go. When you’re done add some saw dust and tie it up. Throw it in the trash or burry it using compostable bags. I *hated* the smell from the grey & black tanks. It would always leech out into the cab and smell like a porta potty 😵💫🤢
I totally agree! I use coco coir. And essential oil spray now. But boy do I remember having an rv and having to empty the black tank! Everything about it was yuck, yuck, yuck!!!! And then I can’t do the whole split toilet thing with the pee sloshing around while I carry it either🥲. The dry toilet just takes me back to the days of changing my 4 kids diapers. Taking care of it and getting rid of it. Even those cool gadgets that used to hide the smell. Remember the diaper genie!?!?!
Very nice ❤
@@supernurse43 Thank you!!!
It’s an ikea kitchen already built for small spaces
Yes, painted and added Home Depot wood to the front.
Why are all the dramatics/sheaking now so pupular on You tube. The contents is sufficient
LOL! I hear you. I don't know about what's popular on youtube. But I've been dramatic and shrieking since birth, LOL! Also, I'm literally in one of the happiest seasons of my entire life, so just a heads up......there will be lots of shrieking over this way :)
❤
❤❤❤❤
Nice job!! What did you pay for the bus?
Great question! The bus was 5k. I’ll be making a separate video on costs. Thank you for watching and asking.
It would be nice to do a cost comparison with this no build compared to a build out…purchasing all this stuff may not be as cost effective.
I totally hear you. I’ll definitely be doing a video on costs.
But also there were a few other things I had to consider besides the cost of the items. Like how much it would cost me to hire someone to build the things I couldn’t. Or how long it would take. And how cute would it be (lol, I’m such a girl). But more importantly, I have my flipping business that I use this for when not traveling, and need to be able to remove all this stuff to haul furniture, staging stuff, etc.
♥♥♥👍🏾 new sub.
@@blackpearl9984 Yay! Welcome to the family! Glad to have you here.
Had the wheelchair lift been removed before you bought the bus or did you have to take it out?
@@terrieannschmearer It was still in here, but wasn’t working. I had it removed.
How easy is that bus to drive? How many miles were on the engine?
@@kathleendolphin7993 It’s pretty easy to drive. But I’m used to bigger vehicles. I had a 12 passenger for my family for a while. I’m so sorry. I’m not sure about the mileage when I bought it.
Are those ikea cabinets
The sink stand is. But it’s painted black and the wood is cut from Home Depot and added to the front.
I want to do ones of these but am concerned about fuel mpg. Is there much difference over a regular rv??
@@onemannews I’m sorry I’m not very knowledgeable about the difference in gas, just how much cheaper it was to buy. But I hope you can find your answer.
How much you pay for the shuttle bus?
The bus itself was $5k.
Do you know of any volunteers who will help an old lady who has bone cancer to get such a vehicle? I dream of life on the road away from this house full of horrible memories of abuse.
I would definitely help after we find a bus for you. Where do u live?
If my bus was ready I’d take you with me.
