They all work for keeping a charge on the battery, if you need or use more, you need more panels and batteries etc, I have part this, but I started with the harbor fright set up which works great for what we need, thank's for sharing this. I'm going to sharing with friends that are thinking about getting this...

I was wondering if you can help me. Just want to be sure, the that you've charged is an AGM type right? What is the max amp output that you've ever gotten? Some reviews says that if we are charging agm, the controller is limiting the amp output to just 6amp. I really don't want to buy a 200w panel unit if I'm just going to get what a 100w unit is capable of outputing. I hope your can clarify if this is a fact or just some random negative feedback that people spreads. Keep up the good work! 👍

Thanks, I appreciate that. Honestly I don't pay attention to the amps. Well as long as everything is working. when I am camping, if my panels are close to the sun, tbe battery is usually fully charged when I wake up. I honestly never checked to see if I get full amps, but only because it works so good. I have run a fridge, lights and a fan, and charged phones and tablets on a 4 day trip with no issues. As luck would have it I am heading out for an overnighter at the lake. I will take some time, and get direct sunlight and see what amps I am pulling. but honestly if tbe battery stays charged, it wont pull many amps. At the end of the day aftrr almost a year it is still awesome. I have had no issues even with wire extensions. Sorry so long winded, but you wont be disappointed. I will reply in a couple days with more data.

@alexbarquin9 I have more info for you. Reading your question again and also coming back from camping, I did want to reiterate, that I am running an AGM battery. It is X2power (Battery Plus) I picked that because it is a AGM RV battery with a 4 year full warranty meaning if it goes bad they replace it not prorate it, and it is pushing 3 years and is still good. Since my battery is good, It doesn't push full amps and the fridge and lights weren't enough to drain the battery down below 12.2 volts as a reference. So in the morning after being using the battery all night with no solar, the battery was down to 12.2 volts. I checked the amps and it said 11.1 amps. It within an hour jumped to 14.4 volts and the amps dropped down to 3 the next time I checked it. The charge controller works like a battery charger. It ups the amps if you need it then reduces as the battery charges and then floats when completely charged. I have some more numbers for you on just the solar panels, but not to flood the comment section. I will add the numbers on the "DISCUSSION" part of my channel. Look there for actual solar panel numbers and what I found on mine. I hope this answers your question. If you need more clarification, feel free to ask more questions, and also read my post in the "DISCUSSION" tab on my channel. Thanks for the question, you have forced me to learn more about my solar panels, so thanks for keeping me on my toes! I hope this helped.

@@azxp No, thank you for taking the time and giving me a detailed factual information. I learnt alot from you as well and I will be getting the same unit now. Take care and looking forward to more videos from you. Keep up the good job 👍

@@azxp I got my unit today and used it on a nice clear day in down under. I got on average 10-11.3amp. It even fluctuates to 12amp sometimes. Makes charging my agm such a breeze. Couldn't be happier. Thanks once again.

Do you have the car off while charging... or can you run stuff while its charging

I only tested the solar panels on a handy battery. The real use case will be for boondocking. The camper battery will run the fridge and accessories while the solar panels recharge the batteries during the day. Thanks for your question.

You should hook up your battery first. You risk damaging your panel or controller.

I think it would be a little costly for me.

Hi Francis, Here is a link to another video I did on a cheaper solution. It is half the power and half the cost, but so far has been very viable. It is lighter and easier to transport. th-cam.com/video/H39bCqxcEXs/w-d-xo.html
