    I have two of these cases for my kids, and I have to say it's SOLID for the price. The only gripes so far is that the HDD cage is really close to the PSU, so if you're not using 3.5" magnetic drives, or multiple SSDs, then just remove the cage altogether. Save yourself a bunch of trouble getting your cables to fit in that small space.
    Second gripe is the flimsiness of the rear panel. Yeah, it's a $60 case. The rear panel is the ONLY part of it that feels $60 flimsy, I promise, everything else is rock solid and well built. That said, I did almost bend the rear fan mesh while uninstalling the stock fan to make room for my upgraded RGB fan. Also, this is probably just something me or my son did in error, but one of the cable management nodes on the front of the case was somehow bent during installation, probably of the front fans. This was probably our fault though, and the problem was easily and quickly rectified by just bending it back with pliers and a gentle touch.
    Third gripe is that the motherboard side panel is really fucking HARD to remove. Like, 'I feel that I'm going to break it' hard. Just take your time and you will get it off. It is quite problematic though, and I can see it being a bigger problem for inexperienced and younger builders, but if you know what you're getting into, you should be okay. Just don't force it.
    Overall, this case is the bees knees for the money. I cannot think of a better case in this price range that has the same features and LOOKS. Seriously, it looks amazing. The front panel is HEAVY, as in not cheap plastic, but a real metal part that took time and care. GREAT case and I will recommend over anything else in the price range.

      @shocking farground x Yes, there are screw holes in the bottom of the slot that can accommodate an SSD. Lots of room for storage!

      Sorry for replying to this old comment, the third grip you have, the motherboard side panel is the non-tempered glass side you are referring to right? I bought a prebuild that uses one of this case and the exhaust fan stopped working. I thought of opening it up to check but after unscrewing the 2 screws and tring to pry it open, it refused to budge so I thought I might be breaking something and kinda gave up.

    Dear Phanteks,
    Your P300 is not too big which is what I look for. My current case is a very old one : Chieftec CX-01B-B-B.
    As I baught and build new components this summer into it. I was looking for a new pc case.
    Few days ago, I saw your P300 and told to my self "Finally I found it".
    Before ordering it, I checked the clearence and the problems started.
    First my PSU (Corsair RM750x) is too long (180mm, clearence: 160mm).
    However, as I don't have 3,5" drives I could have removed the drive support.
    Second, my CPU cooler (Noctua NH-U14S) is too tall (165mm, clearence 160mm).
    Therefore that's a no go despite the case is neat and meets my aesthetics needs.
    If you made the same but a bit wider, I'll buy one immediatly.

  • @FlintG

    I would've liked a dual 140mm fan on top, I think there could be the room. Agree with others RE: rear fan being 140mm supported as well, otherwise a nice case.

    • @TheALBOK
      @TheALBOK 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Conza I'm not sure that a 140 would fit with the I/O on the motherboard being there too without making the case wider

    • @conza1989
      @conza1989 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kirotone, It's 400mm long, you'd need maybe 300mm for the dual 280mm opening, and at 200mm wide that's 60mm for the edges and the IO. Maybe they'd need to add the IO to the front? My Enthoo Evolv mATX has it on the front panel and agree it would be a very tight fit if the IO was like this case. Idk the 1 opening though just doesn't look right.

    • @TheALBOK

    • @f4rensabri

      a tad wider wouldn't hurt I think
      but that would probably increase the cost too, as more material is used to increase overall width
      but 120mm for cost saving is an okay imo

    I know it will sound strange and most will probly blast me for it... but i use the 120mm rad in the back with a blower style reference gtx 980.. this case is perfect for that.. if you have a circulation style gpu, my recommendation would be to put the 120mm aio on the front top and place a 140mm on the top exhaust... currently running all corsair ml 120's for exhaust and 140's for intake and have beautiful temps..

    as much as this case looks awesome, this case will suffer airflow as the front dust filters are sat WAY too far from the fans and hence choking the fans and the fans will use recycle air inside the case...I have P400 TG and it looks beautiful but also suffers airflow. All I did to fix this is to get magnetic dust filters and place them RIGHT INFRONT of the fans (which is similar to S340 and Define C ) and remove the stock front dust filter, it helps temps by 5-7 degree drop. I'm not saying this p300 and p400 isn't great, they are far superior (interms of cable management, PSU Shroad, expand-ability and easy to build with) than the same tier of mid-tower cases out there but this eclipse line only suffer in airflow.

    • @verex8579
      @verex8579 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, Gamer Nexus was very critical of the Phanteks P400 with high temps and restrictive airflow. Have you tried using an additional Static Pressure Fan 120/140mm?
      I find it strange that they only put 1 fan in this case unlike the P400 which has 2 and sells for around the same price or lower than the P300 when on a sale (non-TG version though).

    • @MrKlepton
      @MrKlepton 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand why you would get temperature drops if you put dust filters right in front of the fans. Why isn't Phanteks' dust filter placement good? Could you please explain?

    • @Ampidire
      @Ampidire 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RicardoMonteiro98 that 298 for the gpu was pcb length, not cooler length. Couldn’t get both items installed. Upsized the case to the P400S TG. Too bad, the style of the P300 I think is better with the smaller glass piece.

    Really love phanteks as a company they really do try to innovate and cost effective without sacrificing much. This line is an awesome line but compared to the define meshify line I think this p series needs more air flow for the GPU. Check out Gamers Nexus review. I was thinking out purchasing this case and modding the front panel and use the RGB fan mounts you recently released, but it has no front fan filters that cover the chassis. I think that little addition will go a long way. Besides that very clean and great implementation of RGB button. Great work Phantek!!👏

    Sorry but I just can't stand 120mm rear fans anymore. 2mm more width would allow for better fans (same airflow with less noise or more airflow at the same acoustic level), why is this so hard for many manufacturers? I love my Enthoo Evolv ITX for its small size without limiting me to 120mm fans all around. This might be no issue for many, but for me, this is a reason not to buy that case, even if I like the rest (design, TG, layout etc.).

      no, max 140mm

    • @Tom-xy7mx
      @Tom-xy7mx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can and does fit but its a tight fit. Not because of height of case but because the top io cable hang in a 90degree angle from the case and are long enough to interfere with the instalation of a 280mm radiator. P.S.: +andrew Doge Senpai GTF outa here, you can fit a 280 rad , just requires more work and movement of front io cables.

    The way to mount hard drives is a bad design, as you have to mount them to the outside, making it almost impossible to put power supply in.

    the hdd caddy sucks it vibrates like crazy, i found 3 others online confirming same issue. where can i put the 3.5 inch hdd and not have it vibrate>????? theres also no full manual for the case and airflow sucks cause theres only 1 exhaust fan so u need to go and buy a front fan.....overall a bad decision for me to get this case....they tricked me all those reviewers and sites did. ur spending another 15$ on a fan and god knows what fixing hdd vibration...and it doesnt block sound well either. pay for a closed case with fans and preferably noise blockage...even if its 1.5x as expensive it pays for itself. im angry i have to deal with all these problems and reviewers/tutorials not cover them.

    An awesome case ruined by the fact the 3.5 bays get no cooling.

      Jolinator How old is your Hard Drive then? and when its such a problem, get a 40mm fan or so in there and boom

    • @Jolinator
      @Jolinator 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DWeh_ 40mm fans are noisy and move no real volume of air, 2x 12tb ironwolfs. Not sure where your going with reference to the age of the drives? When your doing long extended file transfers you need decent cooling on your hdds ask any datacenter

      Don’t know if you realized but the front intake will give the bay some air since the intake is at the bay level...

    That airflow demo is pure bullshit. The front panel is very restrictive and stupid. Get the mesh front panel version instead of this one with closed front panel, or custom mode it like me to improve air intake from the 2 fans on the front so the case can breathe.
