Amazing cinematography. The point this video makes is not just the exhilarating technical challenge of climbing and descending BUT the simple fact of the ability of ebike to transport you to the most scenic and breathtaking terrain in the most fun way. Good one Rob.
What a ride, I LOVE big mountain riding, loads of gnarly tech! Super lucky to capture this sunrise and amazing scenes in Mount Snowdon, Wales. A bucket list for me! Whats on your list to ride?
Dear Rob, This is an incredible video. I watched it on my TV and I know I will have to experience it too. Great views, great camera! Thanks for your work! Christian
Your cinematography is impeccable, super impressed by the quality of your videos. Just ordered my first emtb (a trance X helped by your review). Was a bit nervous about going for it as I am a fairly fit 48 year old that generally rides on the road. But emtb's just looked like too much fun to miss out.
Reapect for calling it it’s native/correct name on screen when you summited! I’m Welsh and had never summited there before. I bought an ebike last summer and decided it was time. I took it to Yr Wyddfa in August. It was hands down my best riding experience to date. Epic climb, super enjoyable on an ebike, and the Ranger path back down was amazing! So intense and tech in parts, loved it! I can’t wait to go back and do it again. We also got lucky and chose an incredible morning for it. Great video, Wales has so much to offer for bikes from North to South
Morning Rob, ive walked this mountain, and what a day it was😵60 mile anhour winds rain at first then Sleat n snow right to the summit. Couldent see much views so I said I would be back again, hopefully in all her glory and see Wales for what it is😍fantastic adventure on the bike though so I mite ride instead of the walk😁👍🇬🇧fantastic video Rob, peace dude😁❤️👊stay safe🤪
I loved the fact that you embraced the sounds of the bike rolling down the rocks, sometimes it's just feels better without music, wise choice would i say 👏🏼
Just done this ride this morning, blessed with an amazing sunrise, best thing ive ever done, awesome run mate, thanks for the vid, pushed me to have a go
As ever a great video. John you are a fantastic camera man I love watching your films👏 Rob cracking commentary and you almost look professional with your riding skills and you are never short of a gadget or two love it. Best time to get up Snowdonia as couple of hour's later and the downhill would be a nightmare 😉. What I like about your short films after watching you just want to get out there. Keep it rolling you are both up there with the big boy's 👍🏻
Awesome video Rob. Brings back some great memories. I did this the other way. Up for sunset and down in dark!! Was a bid made back then. The emtb has just opened the door again for an old boy! Thanks Rob.
I was relieved to see you put gloves on those oh-so-fragile hands when you were crossing the very rocky areas. When you started out without gloves, I was feeling uncomfortable for you. Still a gutsy move for you, without elbow or knee pads. You're a braver man than I'll ever be. Well done. Great video.
Hey Rob... what an incredible experience & ride! My dream someday.. as I love biking and the mountains... Thanks for always sharing such amazing videos! 👏 👍
This Video is Visually Stunning!!! Your soft spoken dialogue is calming throughout this masterpiece! I Applaud you Rob! The bike was the Elephant in the room!ha! ha!What balance! Great handling on those slopes! I've seen hundreds of different worldwide trails rides my favourite is Moab but thats insane Califoria is the main Mecca for decent switch back descents but I'm guessing you know this Dude!!
This is a great ride - I’ve done it 3x : 2009, 2010 and 2015, all on my trusty analogue 26” wheel Spesh Stumpy Evo 👍🏻 Planning to ride it next year, with my 13 year old son, on our eBikes ⚡️😊
👋 Absolutely amazing and lovely i can sit all day watch the sunrise and the sunset and the most lovely incredible hills and mountain view. I loved it . 👍❤️
I loved this video!! Think I’ll watch it again. Just love the big scenes. The filming and editing are brilliant too :). I’ve wanted to do this for years. Your Raasay video motivated me to go up Dun Caan - that was as epic as you said. Maybe this one will be next :).
Hey Rob Rides Emtb! Thanks for the cinematic masterpiece! Thanks to bike pilot for his camera and drone skills! It makes me feel lucky to live here at the base of Burke Mtn near Vancouver British Columbia Canada! Ride ride ride!
I love riding super early in the morning when it’s still dark. It can feel special. I have 2 lights on my bike and 1 on my helmet. Love me some gadgets.
That my friend is an epic accomplishment! Surprised you chose the connected rock path when there was gravel adjacent which would have been much smoother. But being a septuagenarian, my tush does not like as many rigorous bumps as it used to. Well done - I hope you find other mountains on which to do the same.
Aaaa man it looks like so much fun, and brilliant footage btw.. I was booked to do this on the same day. Marin trail friday and the beast on the Sunday, staying at the Royal Victoria. Cancelled last minute due to my friends ebike frame cracking the day before, proper gutted.
amazing footage and vid. I have to say I did think "that's full face terrain" while you were on your way down the really rocky stuff. Wouldn't want to face plant on that surface 😮
It's on my bucket list too 30 years later on than my initial climb, next time on fs cyc engined e-machine, i rode up from the Snowdon Ranger side and that's a much harder climb in 1990 on a rigid Kona Explosif with rim brakes, 1.5 hours approx to get to summit and 16 minutes to get down the (Pronounced) "Cllanberis" side completely out of control brake levers touching the bars full on and we were not slowing down and i lived to tell the tale.
Nice vid Rob. How about Mount Helvellyn or Mount Ben Nevis next. Mount Skiddaw is OK to but you can't legally ride Mount Saddleback (proper name Blencathra) as there is only a path to the summit.
Planning to try that this summer on my cube stereo. TBH I think you could have been more respectful of the walkers on your descent though. If everyone rode like that we’d all get banned from doing it.
Truly inspiring video Rob. Beautifully shot. Makes me want to find similar mountains near me.. (when the rain stops in Sydney Australia..). I like the chunder sound effects of the rocks on the descent... or was that the EP8 clackn' noise? 🤣
Great vid, and as always the filming, hours of editing bring it all together. People don’t see the time & effort setting up the shots or putting the drone up with active track, not a 30 second job. Don’t know if you can add in how much batt life & total time it was to,your audio overly?
When you say "used 1 bar" and then "used 2 bars" out of how many as a point of reference? I got Kiox on one bike (no bars involved) and Levo SL (10 bars), but this was not a Specialized, was it a Shimano motor?
7:15 No doubt you would have stopped many times to get shots for the camera , would have been considerate to stop and let the hikers pass as well. It's not a race.
Amazing cinematography.

Propably Leogang and the other bike parks in the alps
Nice one, great view!!! What jacket are you using Rob?
@@hannes6114 going to leogang in a couple of weeks with the gmbn/embn bike festival. It’s going to be epic !
Do you have a public Komoot account, assuming you use Komoot…. I’d love to keep track of all your rides even if they don’t make it to the channel
Wow, just wow. I am drooling Rob! Amazing

Brilliantly filmed portrayal of the adventure eBikes can bring Rob ! Like we were there 👌👌
Incredible as always thank you Rob and John for taking us along.
What a great video Rob a pleasure to watch ! This is exactly why I love my ebike , and your Chanel of course !!

Cool video , amazing ride and photography , and amazing scenery , and a serious test of man and machine .
Thanks for posting .
What an amazing job and riding you guys did. Thank you for sharing it

Thanks Jon, really kind! I'm lucky enough to get to go to these places that shoot themselves :)
What a bike to bring into the mix.
Awesome leading edge emtb adventure + great cinematics.
Way to go Rob.
Thank you!
One of your best Rob, you do cinematic very well👌
I’m doing this in May on a conventional full sus , been planned for around 6 months. Great vid 👍
Awesome video Rob. Brings back some great memories. I did this the other way. Up for sunset and down in dark!! Was a bid made back then. The emtb has just opened the door again for an old boy! Thanks Rob.

That footage is brilliant and what a day for it.
Nice ride. Proper punishment to the bikes going down. Epic journey. Congrats.
Absolutely superb, after seeing this it’s on my to do list
Its on the bucket list for this year
Those Skydio drone shots look superb, they add so much to the production value of the video
This is a great ride - I’ve done it 3x : 2009, 2010 and 2015, all on my trusty analogue 26” wheel Spesh Stumpy Evo 👍🏻
Planning to ride it next year, with my 13 year old son, on our eBikes ⚡️😊
Thumbs up. Epic video, epic filming, epic edit more please
Deffo on my bucket list, looks amazing😊
Great work guys.....loved it 👍
I can already hear the hikers freaking out as well as the Greenies due to the erosion. You want to remember YOU give way to THEM.
👋 Absolutely amazing and lovely i can sit all day watch the sunrise and the sunset and the most lovely incredible hills and mountain view. I loved it . 👍❤️
Excellent video. Two mates doing what they love in natures playground. What more could you want!?
Excellent video Rob, can tell a lot of hard work went into that and snowdon looked awesome 😎👍
I loved this video!! Think I’ll watch it again. Just love the big scenes. The filming and editing are brilliant too :). I’ve wanted to do this for years. Your Raasay video motivated me to go up Dun Caan - that was as epic as you said. Maybe this one will be next :).
Nice! What great footage you got. I have to do that adventure now. But I need to get an Ebike lol!
Wow how amazing great job getting up there.👌
Wow super cool video i been up there a few times love the place just never rode a bike up!!! This is deffo on my list buddy🤝🏼✅❤️👍🏻
Beautiful ride & nice to see Jon. 👍
No hurry, don’t scare the hikers 😁
Exactly. Its not a race. Just stop , let them pass then continue. Don't be an ass.
epic mate . well done on the ride and the video work .
Exceptional video Rob. Really enjoyed the spectacular scenery! It's always misty when we visit Snowdon..... 😏
Nice one mate love these epic vids.
Epic ride! Epic scenery!
Hey Rob Rides Emtb! Thanks for the cinematic masterpiece! Thanks to bike pilot for his camera and drone skills! It makes me feel lucky to live here at the base of Burke Mtn near Vancouver British Columbia Canada! Ride ride ride!
Thanks Eric as always!
Awesome Rob!
I love riding super early in the morning when it’s still dark. It can feel special. I have 2 lights on my bike and 1 on my helmet. Love me some gadgets.
Great video both of you well done

Great video, I did it in 2014 on the Hai bike nduro pro ebike, I don't think anyone had done it on an ebike before me.
That looks awesome definitely need to do this..🤘🤘
Great vid......as usual!
Epic Rob
thanks for sharing 👍😉
Epic stuff, love rides like that. total chunkfest, hope you had DD tires!
what a nice video. well done
Land of the Gods 🏴🤘🏻
Would I struggle to go up and down Llanberis on my hardtail? I think Ranger path looked a bit rocky for the descents on a hardtail!!
Have done this ride myself on a stumpjumper back in the 90s.
It's an epic ride. Hope you enjoyed the challenge Rob!
Great stuff! Definitely one to do on an ebike if ya can too, can climb a lot!
Absolutely brilliant......
Epic video Rob
One for the bucket list.👌
Aaaa man it looks like so much fun, and brilliant footage btw.. I was booked to do this on the same day. Marin trail friday and the beast on the Sunday, staying at the Royal Victoria. Cancelled last minute due to my friends ebike frame cracking the day before, proper gutted.
Magnifique 😍😍
Fantastic. Thanks.
Incredible video 👌🏽
amazing footage and vid. I have to say I did think "that's full face terrain" while you were on your way down the really rocky stuff. Wouldn't want to face plant on that surface 😮
This was sick!
wow, just amazing..!
Time checks out. Nice one🤙
Amazing!

They’ve killed telegraph valley after the rangers - it was such a great finish to the ride - they had just sanitised it when I was last there.
Waw... Amazing
Absolutely brilliant ride rob ,I’m surprised you didn’t wear gloves best wishes 👍❤️👀
Been meaning to do it for a while.
Fabulous 👌
I don’t get how people want to ride with no gloves. Great shots as always.
Iam so glad bike riding on mountain paths is limited to certain times of the year they are so dangerous to walkers
Great video!!! What kind of water bottle do you have?? A magnetic clip!! Super cool
Beutiful and inspirational!
Shocks must have been at melting point!🥴
Nice vid Rob. How about Mount Helvellyn or Mount Ben Nevis next. Mount Skiddaw is OK to but you can't legally ride Mount Saddleback (proper name Blencathra) as there is only a path to the summit.
Wow!
Even on the eeb there's still lots of "hike a bike" on the way up.
Now after watching this video I just HAVE to ride Snowdon.
Planning to try that this summer on my cube stereo. TBH I think you could have been more respectful of the walkers on your descent though. If everyone rode like that we’d all get banned from doing it.
Really!🙄
@@shaundownes4329 yeah really
Rob , It is an amazing ride, what top 3 Emtb’s would you say would of been the tool for the job in order 1 to 3 ?
Did you feel that the Rail was the right tool for the job? Is hike a bike not easier on an analogue bike?
Truly inspiring video Rob. Beautifully shot. Makes me want to find similar mountains near me.. (when the rain stops in Sydney Australia..).
I like the chunder sound effects of the rocks on the descent... or was that the EP8 clackn' noise? 🤣
Awesome video!!!!
What drone you’re using? Thanks
Rob, what casing on the Schwalbe tires?
Fantastic video Rob! Did you ride the same route up as you rode down? If so it looks like some of it was pretty chunky terrain in the dark.
great video Pen Y Fan next ?
Great vid, and as always the filming, hours of editing bring it all together. People don’t see the time & effort setting up the shots or putting the drone up with active track, not a 30 second job. Don’t know if you can add in how much batt life & total time it was to,your audio overly?
So how long to ascend and descend?
When you say "used 1 bar" and then "used 2 bars" out of how many as a point of reference? I got Kiox on one bike (no bars involved) and Levo SL (10 bars), but this was not a Specialized, was it a Shimano motor?
Good point! One bar on Shimano is 20% - so completely full is 5 bars 👍
What’s a great ebike for $2000 for off road riding with fat tires used for deer hunting and camping.
Probably need A 750 watt at least.
What bike was that ?
Ps what was the charge level at the summit ?
Kellys Theos. Can’t remember charge up there but maybe around 50%
7:15 No doubt you would have stopped many times to get shots for the camera , would have been considerate to stop and let the hikers pass as well.
It's not a race.
