And the part about needing something to solve the maze and the last direction being up reminds me of Link's Awakening (although the in-universe game looks more like Atari's Adventure)

Absolutely going to be a secret that corresponds to this in the actual,,Deltarune" game! This is by far the hardest link you find on the website and supposedly in the game as well. We had a moment where we were completely alone in Ch2 , it's possible we will have such moments again in future chapters!!

Honestly, I've had the theory of Dess being the knight. Law of conservation of detail dictates that something that's given as much importance as Dess' disappearance, While at the same time, Giving us next to, If not absolutely, Zero details about what happened to her, What happened the night she vanished, It paints her as an important figure in the story, But at the same time, Plays that card in particular very close to it's chest. It's my idea that the dialogue hidden in the files is actually Dess, Calling out after falling into either the Dark World, Or (In my mind) The Void, The same place Gaster was sent to after the Core incident in Undertale. I bring this up because, With this new info, With the implication that Noelle has had run-ins with the dark world before (The white egg, Noelle getting E-Mailed a Pipis, And now this.) I thing Gaster might of found Dess in the Void, And may be using her as a minion of sorts that can access the light world, The same way he seems to be using the super bosses in the Dark World for his own ends. Hell, Maybe the Super Bosses are failed attempts at making an avatar for him, As when he reveals the truth about the world, They break (Jevil became nihilistic and saw the world as the game it is, And Spamton saw the prospect of being nothing but a puppet and went nuts because of it.) But Dess, Maybe through determination (Something it's stated by queen that Noelle has, And perhaps by extension, Dess has as well.) She powered through the existentialism and proved to be what Gaster may be looking for: Someone with a strong body, Mind and Soul, Who he could use for... Whatever he may be planning with the fountains. Perhaps he offered her something of importance to her. I have a bit of an out there theory that one of the future chapters could revolve around saving Rudy. Similar to Half-Life Alyx's ending, Gaster (Similar to G-Man) shows Dess (Taking the place of Alyx) that Rudy (A father who'll end up dying, Similar to Eli) isn't long for this world, But, He can change that. He just needs her help. And, To sweeten the deal, Noelle will end up helping them, And getting stronger and more confidant along the way. Dess takes the deal, And becomes the Knight. A few extras I'd like to add. (Because *Clearly* I haven't talked enough) I have the idea that nether Dess or Noelle have determination, At least not initially. Determination (In the Undertale world at least) Is a strictly *Human* aspect. Maybe Gaster instilled Dess with the determination needed to make the Dark Worlds, The reason Queen thinks Noelle has Determination, Is that Dess never said her name,But when Noelle first encountered Queen, Noelle told her *her* name, And that Dess and Noelle look close enough like each other for Queen's (Rather shoddy, She's fooled by a cardboard box.) Facial detection to think Noelle is the one who made the Dark World, aka The Knight, aka Dess. What could Gaster's goal be? Good question that's up to interpretation, But personally? It could be a attempt to copy Flowey/Asriel's plan in Undertale: Gather a ton of Darkners, Use them to give him an new form. Most likely The Vessel you made at the start, He couldn't make his own because "No one can choose who they are in this world." and nobody mentioned that The Vessel would be YOUR vessel. A smaller detail, But with this theory, I have the idea that the credits song "With you in the dark" is a lullaby made and sung by Dess to Noelle, And that she's singing it to her self to reminder her of Noelle to keep her sane and to remind her that what she's doing is for Noelle.

When Noelle showed up, She probably let slip that her name was Noelle. Queen doesn't know Dess's name, This would explain why Queen mistakes the search term "December Holiday" For Christmas, Rather than Noelle looking for her sister.
I think it correlates to the "Dark Dialogue" or whatever it's called. Stuck in a maze without knowing how to get out? Until eventually you realize there is a posibility you could get out (in the person who was trapped's perspective, their voice), but eventually you realize it was never a way out, just another dead end. It correlates exactly to how this "person" is trapped in extreme darkness with no way out, who then resorts to calling for help/talking out loud, hoping someone hears them (or in the game's case, the door), but they realize it's fruitless.
That bit regarding the moving back and forth between rooms without a guide character, I wonder if that's a reference to the Final Fantasy 4 "8^2 Curse of Extinction" glitch. It's a glitch Squaresoft (before they were Square Enix) made "canon" in their Ogopogo Examiner Newsletter back in 1992. The glitch was regarding moving back and forth between certain floors/rooms which increases one of the game's values for positioning the player. Hitting value 64 causing the game to freak out and sends the player into an unstable level, which is generated by pulling other values stored in the game. Those values can be manipulated to wrap to weird maps or even the final area of the game. There were multiple places this glitch could occur. And interestingly enough, the weird rooms where we find the "man" (*cough* Gaster *cough cough*) who provides Kris an Egg all seem to match this pattern of constantly entering and exiting certain rooms to end up somewhere that isn't normal.

Ok, hear me out. In Undertale, in Snowdin, there is an ICE PUZZLE-MAZE thing, where Frisk must slide to the snow spots to not fall down in the "room" where Paparys and Sans' snowmen are. After that Frisk goes through the trees, a random snowpuf appearing on their head. They they go down to the area where you can fight Gyftrot. THEN they go in the hallway, going UP, to the DOOR that CAN'T BE OPENED ( Toby's room ) So, It's either a refrence, a forshadowing, or a coincidence. Please, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong in any of that
This sounds like Toby is trying to reference to Sonic 3’s Robotnik‘s diabolical traps as well if you’re wondering what that is it is a thing in Sonic 3’s manual to explain weird bugs that were left in sonic 3 for example if you play Ice cap as Tails and don’t hit any checkpost you will die when you get to the infinite falling part of Icecap to fix this you just enter a Big ring or hit a checkpost (This only happens Sonic 3 alone not with Sonic 3 and Knuckles)

probably not important, but the blue thing is refered as "ocean" in the code, while the white sprinkles are called "ice". anyway, in my little tinfoil conspirary theory noelle's foreshadowing a dark word based on the hospital. i mean, she's literally an angel with *ice powers*. maybe we need her in our party so we can open the hidden door there in the ice palace's maze. who knows.
About 1:30 I just realized: so in the UK, fruitcake is soaked in alcohol. So us uneducated Americans understand, Noelle is basically calling the devs drunk.
3:54 no, you have to remember that the maze is CROSS SHAPED, as in, each room is the exact same four hallways, each leading to a different direction, also, if you think that is a map of the maze as a whole, you need to remember that noelle said she went in every direction, then up, and both paths that lead to the door go only THREE directions, not four, then goes either left or right.
This might just be a coincidence since its just a normal computer thing, but when you beat Spamton Neo one of the computers in the lightworld gets a blue screen so maybe thats related? The electrical sockets also seem to reference the ones that attack you and smile on the way to the neo fight

Mystic if you have interacted with temmie and her egg in first chapter, in the second chapter after leaving cyber world if you go to kris class again and have collected the 2 eggs temmie will put the egg on her desk again and if you interact with the egg it will say congratulations you have collected 2 eggs Edit: I have some screeshots about it
I wonder if this maze will end up as an actual location/event in Deltarune? Possibly a late-game chapter with Noelle is the vibe I'm getting, but if this event is exclusively promoting chapters 3 through 5 then that would it'll happen in one of them. Maybe a chapter in her house where we go through some of her video games? Wouldn't be at all surprised if it's something we see in the Bunker or in Heaven though.

You mentioned the possible connection to the gaster door, but what about the unused horse stable event that has the [REDACTED] sprite in undertale? Since neither the stable or the trash can where you find the key are ever loaded without hacking, Noelle never finding the key and only finding the door through brute force seems like a parallel that could be made.
Dragon Blazers is based on Brandish, a series of games Toby loves. The third game, Brandish 3, has a location called "Glacier" with bgm called "Glaceir" (mistranslation). The Halloween Hack has you play as Varik (Ares in Japanese original), the main character of the Brandish games. Kris's design is based on Ares. There's a bunch more parallels and references but I'm unsure of how it all fits together. I guess you'd have to play the three Brandish games to fully understand all the allusions Toby makes.

I'm not seeing anyone say this but I can't be the first one to make this connection. This reminds me of the mysterious door in Snowdin that unlocks if you dodge all the backers in the credits. Gyftrot (widely speculated to be Noelle's mom) appears in the portion of the map with the mysterious door and has many strange things about her, including looking strangely like Sans' Gaster Blasters and the DT Extraction Machine.
So Chapter 1 was Sussie´s subconcious and chapter 2 was noelles? each one seem to harner back to a game they each play, Falco birdie , Ice mage Noele with this one, cant remember if sussie ever talked about a barbarian game
there's definitely something about noelle that i can't put my finger on. she has a fairly dark streak, with the obvious example being snowgrave, but she also seems to have always had a bit of a warped view of things. like her reaction to susie bullying kris was... not appropriate for how a friend should react. she has deep insecurities about how others view her and yet the way she views others is basically what she's afraid of herself. her feelings for some things borders masochistic. as a kid she had some particularly intense fear responses to so many things as well, like being afraid of anything eerie or unusual, and worrying everything is gonna come and kill her. just such visceral reactions to things for a kid to have. at first glance she just seemed like your average character that's learning to be more assertive and confident in making her own choices but with all this new info especially i think she's one to keep an eye on. she's way more complex in interesting ways.
This reminds me of the maze from chapter 1 in the scarlet forest. I'd wonder if doing what she says would actually unlock an easter egg, but dataminers would have already figured that part out by now

I’m thinking that it’s an alagory for the whole deltarune story and we just don’t get the full picture yet. The idea of their being a door that you are supposed to go through with a guide but is still possible (yet very difficult) to find without one seems like it’s gonna come up at some Point.

I think in a way that the ice palace isn't necessarily supposed to tell us that it will LITERALLY be ice, but rather that it will be a place of Noelle's creation, of course due to her being an ice mage.

so im going to be mad speculating here, but this sounds like a snowgrave correlation due to noelle being part of it, and ice palace being pretty on-the-nose to snowgrave and what it entails. cross shaped maze...? theres no cross shaped maze in snowgrave. i think the cross is actually representing kris. a similar sounding name. the story roughly translates with this in mind as: no matter where you go you will always be brought back to the same room. ergo, nomatter how you influence kris, you always get the same end result...nothing changes. normally, one of the characters(ralsei) is supposed to guide kris through the dark world, but it became a infamous part of the game because even though you changed the outcome by literally murdering someone, you are still stuck in the same storyline. people tried to get an alternate storyline, but to no avail... the thing is...there is a way to break free. you need to find "the locked door" and find out how to open it.
YO WAIT I JUST GOT AN ABSURD FAN THEORY Kris is the knight (possible theory) and is using their knife to summon a new dark world. What if, Dess possibly fell into a dark world, and Kris is trying to track down which one did she fall into. They’re sneaking around hoping to find Dess again.

Something i find super weird is Noelle's reaction. Why does she scream and cry when she finds it? That's not quite a normal reaction to finding a secret door in a vdeogame I feel. She "hiccups and gasps" and felt like she was gonna choke on her tears, and the next time she finds it, yet again, she almost screams even though she says its from.. "happiness". That just feels so off, i guess.
So let's imagine Dess got kidnapped because she entered a dark world but never got out. Who created those dark worlds in the first time? Did the library have that dark world inside it the ENTIRE time? That's impossible, people used computers there before, so when did the cyber world get created there... and who did it? And what lightner knows about how to create a dark world besides Kris, Noelle, Susie and Berdly?

@@leeto64 As I stated in the first extra part, Dess never gave Queen their name, Or if they did, They simply called themselves "The Knight".
When Noelle showed up, She probably let slip that her name was Noelle. Queen doesn't know Dess's name, This would explain why Queen mistakes the search term "December Holiday" For Christmas, Rather than Noelle looking for her sister.
I think it correlates to the "Dark Dialogue" or whatever it's called. Stuck in a maze without knowing how to get out? Until eventually you realize there is a posibility you could get out (in the person who was trapped's perspective, their voice), but eventually you realize it was never a way out, just another dead end. It correlates exactly to how this "person" is trapped in extreme darkness with no way out, who then resorts to calling for help/talking out loud, hoping someone hears them (or in the game's case, the door), but they realize it's fruitless.

That bit regarding the moving back and forth between rooms without a guide character, I wonder if that's a reference to the Final Fantasy 4 "8^2 Curse of Extinction" glitch. It's a glitch Squaresoft (before they were Square Enix) made "canon" in their Ogopogo Examiner Newsletter back in 1992.
The glitch was regarding moving back and forth between certain floors/rooms which increases one of the game's values for positioning the player. Hitting value 64 causing the game to freak out and sends the player into an unstable level, which is generated by pulling other values stored in the game. Those values can be manipulated to wrap to weird maps or even the final area of the game. There were multiple places this glitch could occur.
And interestingly enough, the weird rooms where we find the "man" (*cough* Gaster *cough cough*) who provides Kris an Egg all seem to match this pattern of constantly entering and exiting certain rooms to end up somewhere that isn't normal.

In Undertale, in Snowdin, there is an ICE PUZZLE-MAZE thing, where Frisk must slide to the snow spots to not fall down in the "room" where Paparys and Sans' snowmen are. After that Frisk goes through the trees, a random snowpuf appearing on their head. They they go down to the area where you can fight Gyftrot. THEN they go in the hallway, going UP, to the DOOR that CAN'T BE OPENED ( Toby's room )
So, It's either a refrence, a forshadowing, or a coincidence.

The Ice Palace with no exit could be a foreshadowing of Dess being stuck in a dark world without being able to exit
This sounds like Toby is trying to reference to Sonic 3’s Robotnik‘s diabolical traps as well if you’re wondering what that is it is a thing in Sonic 3’s manual to explain weird bugs that were left in sonic 3 for example if you play Ice cap as Tails and don’t hit any checkpost you will die when you get to the infinite falling part of Icecap to fix this you just enter a Big ring or hit a checkpost (This only happens Sonic 3 alone not with Sonic 3 and Knuckles)
This, plus the gumball machine, might be hints towards future chapters with their secret bosses. The whole hidden door in a maze sounds like a nice hidden area for a boss.

probably not important, but the blue thing is refered as "ocean" in the code, while the white sprinkles are called "ice". anyway, in my little tinfoil conspirary theory noelle's foreshadowing a dark word based on the hospital. i mean, she's literally an angel with *ice powers*. maybe we need her in our party so we can open the hidden door there in the ice palace's maze. who knows.

no, you have to remember that the maze is CROSS SHAPED, as in, each room is the exact same four hallways, each leading to a different direction, also, if you think that is a map of the maze as a whole, you need to remember that noelle said she went in every direction, then up, and both paths that lead to the door go only THREE directions, not four, then goes either left or right.
This might just be a coincidence since its just a normal computer thing, but when you beat Spamton Neo one of the computers in the lightworld gets a blue screen so maybe thats related? The electrical sockets also seem to reference the ones that attack you and smile on the way to the neo fight

Mystic if you have interacted with temmie and her egg in first chapter, in the second chapter after leaving cyber world if you go to kris class again and have collected the 2 eggs temmie will put the egg on her desk again and if you interact with the egg it will say congratulations you have collected 2 eggs

Possibly a late-game chapter with Noelle is the vibe I'm getting, but if this event is exclusively promoting chapters 3 through 5 then that would it'll happen in one of them. You mentioned the possible connection to the gaster door, but what about the unused horse stable event that has the [REDACTED] sprite in undertale? Since neither the stable or the trash can where you find the key are ever loaded without hacking, Noelle never finding the key and only finding the door through brute force seems like a parallel that could be made.
Dragon Blazers is based on Brandish, a series of games Toby loves. The third game, Brandish 3, has a location called "Glacier" with bgm called "Glaceir" (mistranslation). The Halloween Hack has you play as Varik (Ares in Japanese original), the main character of the Brandish games. Kris's design is based on Ares. There's a bunch more parallels and references but I'm unsure of how it all fits together. I guess you'd have to play the three Brandish games to fully understand all the allusions Toby makes.

It's worth pointing out that Gaster appears surprised when you enter the door and interact with him. Maybe the door was not supposed to open at all.

I'm not seeing anyone say this but I can't be the first one to make this connection. This reminds me of the mysterious door in Snowdin that unlocks if you dodge all the backers in the credits. Gyftrot (widely speculated to be Noelle's mom) appears in the portion of the map with the mysterious door and has many strange things about her, including looking strangely like Sans' Gaster Blasters and the DT Extraction Machine.

there's definitely something about noelle that i can't put my finger on. she has a fairly dark streak, with the obvious example being snowgrave, but she also seems to have always had a bit of a warped view of things. like her reaction to susie bullying kris was... not appropriate for how a friend should react. she has deep insecurities about how others view her and yet the way she views others is basically what she's afraid of herself. her feelings for some things borders masochistic. as a kid she had some particularly intense fear responses to so many things as well, like being afraid of anything eerie or unusual, and worrying everything is gonna come and kill her. just such visceral reactions to things for a kid to have. at first glance she just seemed like your average character that's learning to be more assertive and confident in making her own choices but with all this new info especially i think she's one to keep an eye on. she's way more complex in interesting ways.
This reminds me of the maze from chapter 1 in the scarlet forest. I'd wonder if doing what she says would actually unlock an easter egg, but dataminers would have already figured that part out by now

I’m thinking that it’s an alagory for the whole deltarune story and we just don’t get the full picture yet. The idea of their being a door that you are supposed to go through with a guide but is still possible (yet very difficult) to find without one seems like it’s gonna come up at some Point.

I said this somewhere else but can’t find it, but Tenna HAS to be the TV, or at least part of it. An”TENNA”. It seems like Tenna did something to Mike which somehow affected Spamton.

I looked up to the source cod of the page, and there's a div with the id="tenna" with the image of the TV with red X. So it has to be something with that TV.

I think in a way that the ice palace isn't necessarily supposed to tell us that it will LITERALLY be ice, but rather that it will be a place of Noelle's creation, of course due to her being an ice mage.

Ok, so I’m guessing there will be a chapter where we get to go into Dragon Blazers/video games? I sure hope so. I really love the lore behind the games Noelle played. It’s got a creepy pasta vibe, but isn’t scary enough to feel fake, like actual glitches a game could do (the egg for example is reminiscent of bad eggs, for ex)

so im going to be mad speculating here, but this sounds like a snowgrave correlation due to noelle being part of it, and ice palace being pretty on-the-nose to snowgrave and what it entails.
cross shaped maze...? theres no cross shaped maze in snowgrave. i think the cross is actually representing kris. a similar sounding name. the story roughly translates with this in mind as: no matter where you go you will always be brought back to the same room. ergo, nomatter how you influence kris, you always get the same end result...nothing changes.
normally, one of the characters(ralsei) is supposed to guide kris through the dark world, but it became a infamous part of the game because even though you changed the outcome by literally murdering someone, you are still stuck in the same storyline. people tried to get an alternate storyline, but to no avail...
the thing is...there is a way to break free. you need to find "the locked door" and find out how to open it.

Something interesting, the ice palace page is Exactly the same as the pink one, just it have CSS thing on top of it making it dark and hiding the images (if you click were they should be and drag it you'll see that they remain there) and the "Script" making it dark is called ".dark" Sussy dont you think?

Something i find super weird is Noelle's reaction. Why does she scream and cry when she finds it? That's not quite a normal reaction to finding a secret door in a vdeogame I feel. She "hiccups and gasps" and felt like she was gonna choke on her tears, and the next time she finds it, yet again, she almost screams even though she says its from.. "happiness". That just feels so off, i guess.
The count of "pages found" on Noelle's ARG went from 20, to 24, to 26. I bet there's more pages.
I doubt it'll increase more since the Spamton Sweepstakes are already over.

Did the library have that dark world inside it the ENTIRE time? That's impossible, people used computers there before, so when did the cyber world get created there... and who did it? And what lightner knows about how to create a dark world besides Kris, Noelle, Susie and Berdly?
