I hiked the AT in 2018.... all your videos bring me right back to the trail.... I sure miss it. " you can take the boy off the trail, but you can NEVER take the trail from the boy".... GOD BLESS YOU
Hi Joe and Tara, first time to post a comment. We live in Littleton and stumbled upon your old Feral store in Idaho Springs today. Met super nice guy, Larkin and we talked about your moving back to the East and your AT journey. We have been following and loving your videos! Keep up the great work and stay safe. Real nice to see you film each other finding your way through the rocks, giving a lot more experience for us as viewers than a single person filming his/her own. Respect for your climbs here! I started to view your vlogs a few months ago and was at first a little annoyed by the (long) length of all the content, but I got used to it eventually. Keep up all the hiking and publishing!
WOW!! Rocks BIG Rocks everywhere!! Great Video again. Really enjoy all of them. Tara scared me to death when she about fell. Thank you for showing us all the guts & glory of y'all's hike. Really Proud of you Joe & Tara!!
Sorry to hear you put your hike on hold..all the videos you made up to this point were very good...details and maps are great in vids ..i always reference TH-cam for trips to places I've never been too..looking forward to the other half of the trail next year...the water reaks havoc on trail ,no matter what stat me that's for darn sure ...
Once again the 4K footage looks amazing on my 50" 4K TV. I have hiked from DWG to Gorham and cant wait to hike this section after the snow melts. My schedule is flexible so I will pick 3 dry days. I might try to film it all with my Go pro 7 black. I will need lots of batteries and lots of storage for that. - LightWalker
Great shots, thanks for uploading! Nothing like IRL, I'm sure, but quite enjoyable from the office computer :) Google maps where my grandparents live->local trails->Appalachian trail->where I can catch it near me->Mahoosuc Notch->discovering you!
Great video...the awesome mahoosic notch, but sometimes difficult. Remember, what doesn't kill you makes you better...I had a sunny day for my crossing in 86, took only 40 minutes. Hike on and Happy Trails...
Great video of the climb through the Notch. Glad you both made it through without incident. Were you able to get to the top of Katadin before they closed the trail?

I have been enjoying this series! I like how you stop and film close-ups of interesting nature things!
Excellent videography! Nice work!
Your video is posted November 22, 2019--is that the day of your actual hike at Mahoosuc Notch? It looks cold and dank and uncomfortable!
I can see now you actually made the hike in September....

Woah! That is blazing fast!
@@BackcountryBanter I even took time to build a snowman under a rock...I hiked 15.2 miles for the day...my trail notes say " I am extremely tired "
Maine is no joke! That is some rugged landscape.
Wow some awesome views here.
Do you plan to finish before the end of 2020? So beautiful though!
@Thoth Al Khem Thanks for mentioning that .
We will. We’re taking a break for the winter, but will resume in March and be done before our start date in July.
Ugh, that mountain is some serious bowsheet. I'd be like "are you kidding me?"😭
😂 I distinctly remember both saying that and hearing Tara say that quite often.
Loved this! Thank you.
Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video!!
Very cool, hiking the AT is on my bucket list! Being a total noob, are there sections of the trail that are hard to tell where the path is?
Great video of the climb through the Notch. Glad you both made it through without incident. Were you able to get to the top of Katadin before they closed the trail?
Yes! That’ll be in a future video though haha.
took me 2.5 on a sunny day. ALot of people ran through in just over 1
I can’t imagine doing it in 1 hour! That’s fast.

Just not the hardest but 2 closest
If you lose your way you'd probably find some skeletons
