    A ghibli fan here. This landscape looks quite typical for My neighbour Totoro :). These fields surround the area where the family lives.

      I have to agree. Princess Mononoke didn't have so much in the way of fields and when it did, it wasn't depicted as a wide shot like this. Not to mention that the colors in Mononoke tended to be slightly darker than Totoro. This landscape very much lends itself to a Totoro feel.

    I bought the ARRTX counterpart a few years ago to reintroduce myself to gouache. Pretty sure yours and mine came from the same factory despite being from different brands. I have no problem with the green palette but I found the paint to be a bit inconsistent : why do I battle to obtain a decent opacity with some colors but not others? If you're curious about how it behaves years later, some colors are hard to reactivate but overall I like the consistency better now that it's not "jelly gouache" anymore

      It's my understanding that it can depend on the pigment. Alizarin crimson, for example, tends to be somewhat transparent, no matter what brand of gouache you use.

    • @amortlepsg
      @amortlepsg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ritawilbur7343 Granted, but if the paint is that transparent it's either not the best formula or a bad batch
