Dude, control. Nikhil takes himself so seriously that he thinks he is a police inspector investigating a case rather than interviewing. I really wanted to hear the PVR director a lot but Nikhil frustratingly kept interjecting with his 2-day research.

He is just excited. That's what podcasts are for. If he won't contribute, it will turn out to be a bland conventional interview. His curiosity helps us learn and see new perspectives. Also, at no point I found that to be interrupting.

A superb point he mentioned was how we feel like we're heroes when we even go to the loo. I've noticed in at least the PVR I go to, the blare franchise theme music. Anything from Indiana Jones to Star Wars to Mission Impossible. Definitely makes me feel like I haven't stepped out of a film, but still am in one! It boggles my mind how much thought would've gone behind that small detail

@nikhil kamath - Dude you keep cutting out the guests sentences. The reason people watch internet over TV is they get better listening hosts. You seem to be in a rut to finish some list than listen to the guests knowledge. People do not like it. They would rather spend 5 mins more on a video than watch a video where the guest cannot even share all he speaks- viewers are here to listen to the guests rt?
Please focus on quality not just quantity of questions by cutting out the guest. Examples
    1:48 , 2:18, 2:55, and many more

Coming from Chennai which is like a crazy movie going city, I think I speak for most of the Chennai cinephiles that PVR is all about glitze n glamour n not about the actual movie experience.. for instance, Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai had earned the adoration of city due the quality (sound & projection), punctuality of the shows, reasonable cost of F&B n everything.. PVR took over Sathyam and they have completely run it down the drain. U can have all the granite laid aesthetically lit loos in ur cinema halls.. but I don’t go to movies for spending 3 hours at the loo.

The varying penetration of multiplexes in South and North India can be attributed to a combination of cultural, economic, and demographic factors. In South India, traditional single-screen cinemas often hold cultural significance, and the preference for local language films may impact the demand for multiplexes. Additionally, economic factors, regional film industry dynamics, and population density differences play roles in determining the viability and growth of multiplexes in different regions. Understanding these nuances is crucial for tailored strategies to enhance multiplex penetration in specific markets. 🎬🌐

Nikhil, either your edit pattern is too rushed or you come across rude and annoying by interjecting the guests so too often while they speak. Your research is wonderful but your over enthusiasm in showing it off and come across as ‘my questions better than your answers’ comes across in your videos quiet profanely

    Nice informative video.
I have been thinking about increasing footfall at marathi cinema.
Marathi cinemas have great content but due to poor interest of locals and also strong presence of bollywood, we fail to hit the glass ceiling of 100cr collection.
Despite both mentioned causes few marathi movies have done well.
Its about time that maharashtra sees good revenue generation in marathi cinema.
    Thanks for this information.

The ticket prices in India is almost similar or higher to many developed EU countries. But people in India doesn't earn that much money to spend for a movie. • @Trevorwith3Vs
    @Trevorwith3Vs ปีที่แล้ว +1

Everything is related to the content first .
Content is dead in cinemas at the moment.
Bring back the proper content (Reason why OTT flourised) , Also CBFC needs to be fired and removed.
We need to implement something like the MPAA, like they have in the US .
The MPAA consists of studio execs and actors, directors and other movie related personnel who actually know about movies, rather than some political appointee of the government who might try pushing his/her own version of "sanskaar" and censors movies arbitrarily without any notion of why some scenes are important to the movie.
