    years ago i drove in a nissan pick up like car with a 600 kg load on the back along a wet, sloping meadow, the weight made the car slide away from the back and the car pointed up the slope several times with its nose. I dug up the meadow quite a bit to reach a field path, only with effort and with my rear up I was able to reverse up the slope, street tires, wet meadow / mud, I let air out of the tires and used the crawler gear, the farmer who owned the meadow motivated me with insults while straightening the lanes...

    First time I've seen one of your reviews, what a great presentation style, sir! Very watchable and you've focussed on loads of realworld details that many other reviewers happily ignore. Top stuff, Harry. I'm off to buy a Saracen.

    G'day Harry. Enjoyed your review. It was interesting to note some of the subtle differences between your euro an our Australian versions.

    Great review, enjoyed it as I'm considering one, to go with my proper work pick up (a sort of back up that still could work ) just one mistake "202 PS bested only by the Ranger" , Ahem Hilux 2.8 204 PS !

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh sugar. In my head the hilux had an even 200, my bad. Still in both the Ranger and the Hilux those are optional, the Musso only has the powerful engine which is a really win on the value front. Thanks for watching!

      I swapped from a 3.0 Hilux to a rhino, no regrets, far better machine than the toyota

    Great review. Would you recommend the Musso over the Ranger for a family vehicle? Currently in the market for my first pick up and don't know which to go for.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've not been in the brand new ranger but against the previous one it definitely has a nicer interior and a bit more refinement

    • @jacendex
      @jacendex 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I started off using Ranger for family, business and towing and after trying out the Musso Rhino LWB, the Musso is night and day an improvement over and Ranger. The 10 speed ranger gearbox with no torque converter means it cant pull any weight up hill. It might have 60 more bhp but it doesn't do half the things the Musso can.

  • @bigchief2331

    G'day mate what do you think about this one for a gardening/mowing business? Can you fit two commercial mowers and strimmers, hedgers etc in the tub of the short wheelbase version do you reckon? How about a 29" mountain bike, can that fit without having to take off the wheel or drop the tailgate?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      By commercial mower do you mean ride on, in which case no I don't think two would fit in the short bed. A bike would fit but diagonally

    I live in London and I've always wanted a pick up truck. It will be used as a daily car for commuting and family. I'm not a business owner nor a tradesman lol. This seems to be the only pick up truck in the UK with a swb double cab. I guess I have no other choice.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just be aware it's still a 5 meter long vehicle, and also you'll become the go to guy whenever any friends or family want to move anything

    We live in Philippines Harry. Roads here are very uneven and ware out tires far ahead of time. Alignment is also a concern, but our Musso is steady as it goes. During the rain, my wife is much more comfortable than driving our Toyota Rush. The only thing we need is a folding cover for the rear. My back hurts until we drive in our Musso. What a ride, my wife's friend in Korea suggested we make the purchase. Its a 2020 never sold. What a bargain.

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The suspension is definitely heavy duty. In terms of rear covers a camper style top is generally more weather proof especially if you get one from Ssangyong themselves but it depends what you want to use the bed for

    Hi Harry, how would you compare this pick up overall to the isuzu D max V cross?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The D-Max is better off road and has better driver assistance systems, everywhere else the Musso is better

    I think most people that are likely to take it even mildly offroad will ditch road tyres and put all terrains on

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      True, but it also still has lower ground clearance, worse approach and departure angles, a lesser wading depth and no locking diff when put against it's rivals. You cna fix all that in the after market but once you have I suspect it will have lost its price advantage
