I have had them all ,hilux ,dmax, nissanetc .I have done 30k in 6 months here in Oz with my musso ultimate lux ,this thing goes real well ,nappa leather ,heated cooled seats ,heated steer wheel, bigger than ranger and cheaper, 47k aus drive away .Thanks SsangYong....
I was massively surprised by it, I'm amazed more people don't buy these! Glad to hear you're enjoying your Rexton, I'll have a review of that up on the channel soon as well 🙂
we bought one last week. the Saracen plus model. Really good vehicle compared to our 2015 wildtrak . We have also done a small review on our TH-cam channel.
I am on my second Musso (still have the old MK2) now running a 2019 Mk5 Saracen yes they are reliable my old one finally gave up after twenty years of loyal service. The Mk6 is nice they raised the ground clearance and changed the side steps but it has now been superseded by the Mk7, the Saracen plus was originally called the rhino but since Musso translated into English is rhino was a bit silly. One thing taking both hands off the wheel whilst driving on the roads you were on is a bit worrying.
Do people look at this review it's a 4 door Ute if you want a bigger tray look at other products or put a after market one on . Considering the price what do you want . Toyota, Ford , Nissan ,Vw ripping consumers off where do they justify the huge price. Difference.Musso made in ST Korea Toyota, Ford Mazda Isuzu made in Thailand, South Africa made there for. 1 Reason cheap labour yet still pay thousands more????????
I think that's my favourite thing about the Musso, it's a really good truck and feels every bit as lovely as the others mentioned but with a substantially lower price
Let’s look at it. They did well with caravan towing but were some years ago rather thirsty. The bed on the back is small which is fine for putting a cover on to house your dog, in cage, but would only carry a bale. The problem will be shortly in the future for all SUV’s the front is so high if you hit a pedestrian you will break their neck. This is now being talked about relative to SUV’s. As for the extras who needs half of them in most cars we don’t have Death. Valley or Tundra. Fine for an electrician or plumber but they need a van. So your back caravan towing or swanning from one inspection on a building site to another. Most Farmers would want more carrying capacity because the sort of person who would purchase this wants to feed sheep etc. Of its type it is a good vehicle I have no doubt but crew cabs and short rear tubs have a limited market in the U.K. I suppose the most likely market is timber where the ability to carry chain saws and tow a mulcher as well as small crew would make it worthwhile.
So this vehicle has a 1350kg payload in the bin??. If you say it can tow 3500kg and carry 1000kg in the bin. If the payload is 1000kg in the bin then you have to take into account the 350kg tow ball download so it can only carry 650kg max in the bin when towing
I have just checked the official SsangYong website to make sure, and the wording says that it can tow 3,500kg and carry 1,095kg in the bed for a total payload capacity of 4,595kg when paired with the automatic gearbox. I will ask SsangYong tomorrow to confirm, but the information I was given was "it is the only vehicle in its class that can tow 3.5 tonnes and carry more than a 1-tonne payload at the same time." I hope this helps!
I am a proud owner of one.
I’ve had it for a year now from brand-new and I’m in love with my Musso.
I highly recommend it.. 😉👍

Love mine it's just awesome.
Great choice! Truly underrated truck!
great review, loved your enthusiasm , keep it up your doing well
Helpful review and interesting backstory on the brand. Funny you keep saying "in a truck" - nice work.
Thanks Steven! It's amazing how far trucks in the UK have come in the last couple of years, no longer are they out and out commercial vehicles!
Very informative video !!!
This child done well, give him a break guys!
I'm 26 😂

Fantastic review mate , first time hearing of this pickup , your a natural btw keep it up
I have an old Musso from 1998. My opinion: The best off-road vehicle I've ever had!
same here, been my daily driver, and has never failed a single day, with just normal frequent maintenance

We only pay GBP 24k for that model here in Australia drive away , the Ranger is about GBP 31k
For a top spec version? That's very cheap!
The other kicker is if you buy this privately or you're not VAT registered then it's another 20% on top

Hi - great review. Thank you. What is the Australian equivalent called of the exact Musso you have reviewed here? Thanks again! Ben
the Ultimate
Doing 200 miles on the freeway today i only saw one. So i wonder about resale value.
Someone needs to do a cheap ute comparison between SsangYong, GWM and LDV
What's the mpg?
Using it around where I live (no motorway) I averaged around 35mpg :)
@@AutoHouseMotoring decent! 👍
@@021om6 Very good considering the amount of metal that 2.2 has to move!
@@AutoHouseMotoring very true! Great car!
@@021om6 It is indeed, looking forward to getting the Rexton in a couple of weeks!
I've heard of it
Why do people like the "big commanding front view? The recent trend with bigggg grills looks horrendous. Nice truck / ute / bakkie otherwise though.
I think people like a vehicle that screams "Please politely move out of my way I would be ever so grateful" when coming up behind others.
Tell me you weren't paid by SsangYong without telling me you weren't paid by SsangYong?
@@danielbridge6543 I wasn't paid by them, that's how reviews work.
