Ah, the standard western/fried chicken/satay combo for media and parents. Breakfast got nuggets some more, instead of usual "4 slices of bread with jam".

Literally FIRST time I hear the 7 hrs of uninterrupted sleep rule being enforced and making someone fall out because of it HAHAHAHA Anything for camera. Normally its just lip service. So just a note for future NSFs that's watching this video - that will NEVER happen in your lifetime.
Not true though. During my time, the safeties will take you out of the exercise and you had to redo it DURING THE WEEKENDS. So naturally.. Everybody had 7 hours of uninterrupted magical rest
20 years ago, they take you out, then charged you for not complying with orders, which is to have at least 7 hours of sleep. Now they got it good, never take you out, never charge you of you don't have the required sleep.
Actually, it more like no one will admit it in the first place. If you ever do that, you get questioned and most of the time they will not accept your reason. In this case, the officer most likely don't bothered and let them pass as it is less work and risk for them.
For PES C/E can fall out most of the time
I don't think we attended the same NS, every commander is scared of injuries so no one challenges the men when safety is involved. However, it is more common where the men do not voice out even though they don't get 7 hours of rest

Legends will know about how digusting Mukhani bean stew was until you do JCC and suddenly it tastes like heaven. Also the guns that you guys used were the real SAR21 for the Urban Ops, except that the electronic maganizes were used so that sounds can be produced like shooting blanks.
So its like blank firing training unit the electronic one for the m4 but they changed the entire FCU?
How i wish my army experience is as fun as this...hahaha

Holding a gun is rare. Let alone in Singapore. I did it when i was 14 as part of my cca and the experience was undescribable.
compared to the usa where i have my foid card and conceal & carry weapon... i carry mainly a 502 fn .22LR or a springfield hellcat 9mm
Generally when in NS we try to fire it as little as possible so we don't have to clean it/there is less to clean later on.
I mean you would carry the SAR-21 During the route march so yeah maybe it's different times

chow would have a fit if she ate the american MRE'S 🤣🤣 seriously tho the american airforce has the best food... but also chow u gotta understand calories is what helps someone... even the european mre's even the winter ones are super high in calories needed... so its understandable that the canteen's food isnt the most healthy!

hahah the 7h thing is a wayang they did for you guys cuz they know it was being filmed lah. in NS it's a close one eye thing. because seriously, whoever came up with the 7h thing was a cover ass pencil pushing bureaucrat coming up with an impractical training policy - if the 7h thing was really so strict, anyone can chaokeng out of it just by saying they didn't sleep well the night before.
I tried saying that to my staff then he said fku army got give u 7h to rest anot.
Because the keywords are "uninterrupted rest" and not "uninterrupted sleep". As long as you are not ordered to do anything, you are technically resting.

but it is 7hrs for me though unless next day conduct isn't intensive. So its not all wayang. And its 7hrs of REST not SLEEP. there's a difference
lmao, back when I was in NS, the 7H rule was not even taken seriously, we came back from field camp and only had 4 hours of sleep before going for PT
Kudos for attempting this, but thank you for confirming my suspicion that this it is not even close to anything real. This should be an "experience/exposure camp" and not a "boot camp" lol.
1. 7hr rest is bullshit, no such thing in real life
2. Didn't even feel like there was any regimentation involved.
3. Clearing rooms in a nice lit conference room, lol.
4. The night should have at least be outfield since its jut 2d1n.
5. Cookhouse food usually is never nice over consecutive meals, lol
Again kudos on the attempt, and for showing how this camp is really like and affirming my views that it's really all wayang. Lol

A 1wk duration wil be juz nice. Consist of 3D2N field camp, live firing& grenade, on the 6th day do route march. Last day rest & POP

truth is there is no such thing as 7hours rest. Even lesser if you do guard duty. Fieldpacks are minimum 15kg and up to 30 kg depending on your estab and vocation, excluding your vest and fully loaded mags. SOC is just basics VOC is next level. stripping the sar 21 is the easiest thing you can do. outfield in half submerge body in mud. carrying team equipment, gpmg tripod and ammo and the list goes on. Feel like going on a diet just partake on a 9 day outfield just eating biscuits soaked in coffee and or milo mixture (cake we call it) was the best thing i have ever done.

It's either Maju camp has good cookhouse food or they purposely give them better food just for the bootcamp
Maju camp is where they test the meals for the rest of SAF too, so all the interesting meals will also be there. In general the consensus is that Maju has the best cookhouse food in SAF.
Doing SOC in vest and sport shoes = chicken feet
Normal Infrantry do SOC with SBO + Rifle in long 4 attire.
Commando do SOC with SBO + Rifle in long 4 attire + 6 cans of sand inside their SBO (my experience, imagine 6 cans of coke, except filled with compact sand)
Also there is AOC....
They talk to you nicely, they talk to the guys like they are talking to dogs
U have to train n march with a dummy rifle before u can even hold the real one, n the dummy is so much heavier... I was still using the m16 then...
all smiles and bell and whistle , lacking one key element

Looks more like a holiday camp lol. where's field camp? should let them try that too. Maybe a cut down version
Honestly the 2 day not enough need full experience should be at least 2 week see they can be still smiling and be optimistic anot

combat ration is not that bad because you guys only ate once. try eating it for 2 years
Try turning on the lights at Tekong after lights out for 30 secs. we got defaulters parade because 1 guy 1 turned on just to see something less for less than 30 secs because OC bad mood he rushed up with entire Sgt and officers.
Try using your phone after lights out for 30secs and see what happened to you next.

24k route marcj is nt easy with everything on. If halfway sway sway thigh abrasion sets in or feet abrasion, it wil be veri veri difficult to complete

actually always wanted a sar 21 for myself... theres always a place in my heart for a bullpip rifle!! just hard to get here in the usa... unless u go for a bizon 9mm or something like that... bizon's are inaccurate compared to the sar 21 actually
Bizon is an SMG, SAR-21 is an assault rifle. They are totally different handling characteristics. And of course 9mm is not as accurate as 5.56mm used in SAR-21.
how bout a Tar21 or X95 from IWI it has AR style controls. Theres always the Aug as well

@@bryanloh7355 Yes, the TAR-21/X95 and AUG are 5.56mm assault rifles. I would say the AUG has a somewhat better accuracy with a lighter trigger (progressive sear) compared to the Tavor assault rifles that have a longer and heavier trigger.
