The playlist had to cut "Metal Crusher", "Bergentrückung" and "Metal Crusher Reprise"! I would recommend checking out the full version from here on out or watching the fan-made re-releases of those 3 songs!
@@leebulger7112 AFAIK, it was copyright issues with the person who made the orchestral covers of the songs. MOTI didn't ask for permission before using them, I think? Which is a bit of a rookie mistake, but then again, this was *literally* their first project. I'd love to see them remastered with new instrumentals now that their budget and skill levels are both much higher.
People are saying to watch the 4 hour video and just take breaks or save your place in the video to come back to later instead of utilizing a playlist, and I agree because not only does it include songs that aren't in the playlist, it also provides context through character dialogue between scenes. In fact, you missed enough in this video alone that I'd recommend looking at what was missed instead of finding where you left off.
Okay I am so glad to see you watch this. I have been waiting for a good reaction / analysis of this musical. that said here is a big tip i would suggest using the full four hour video with all the songs in it so you know the positions of the missing songs in the playlist. as "metal crusher" " bergentrückung" and " metal crusher reprise " were all taken down at some point and reuploaded by other people. and yknow. its easier to know their position in the musical by using the full four hours video. also the full video ads some dialogue between the songs as a bridge enhancing the experience as well.
Really glad you’re checking this out. It’s been an in-fandom treasure for a long time, but has never really stepped out beyond that. It’s filled with so much love for the source material and effort, and only gets better the further along you go. It’s genuinely not a bad alternative for someone who hasn’t experienced the story to do so for the first time, if they don’t plan on playing the game.
YES TYSM!! I will literally sell my soul for you to see all of it! But also one of the songs that was cut was bergentruckung which other than being my favorite is also very important to the understanding of the story, since you don't know the lore. I suggest you watch them anyway
Is interesting that you don’t seem to know the story. This is a fun way to experience it. Hope the comments don't spoil. Do recommend the full version because every song is part of the story, especially because one of the cut songs is the King's.
As far as I know sometimes lyrics are used from older lyric videos some other fan made. This entire project is fanmade by ManOnTheInternet, and it came out a while after undertale came out, so other people already made their own lyrics for some songs. And especially the old ones that millions of people know and heard were then used with permission in the Musical
you should do the genocide package as well as the rest of the normal musical. theres megalovania. battle against a true hero. and i dont know what else, but theyre really good.
My interpretation is that the monsters have been trapped in the underground for at least a few generations so all monsters that were around during the war are gone except for the Dreemer family.
@leebulger7112 My interpretation is that they've been trapped for around 1000 years(with my headcanon being that monsters have much longer lifespans than humans due to them being made of magic and not flesh)
Also to answer the lyrics question, no they arent official. Toby Fox didn't have sung lyrics for any of the songs he composed (for Undertale atleast.) But his music is so good that it bread a multitude of covers. Alot of people made their own lyrics for songs. Man on the Internet used some of those Cover Lyrics for this. They were already really good and fitting lyrics. TLDR; The lyrics are fan made from other TH-camrs that man on the internet used
The best songs are definitely in the boss battles. Heartache, Bonetrossle, Spear of Justice and Spider Dance are all bangers. The boss battles in the genocide route are, of course, also bangers.
I’m hoping we can get Dave’s reaction to the rest of the musical because it’s just so good! Also I would like to see Lemonlights come back again and I’m not sure if lemonlight’s is just not as popular as MOTI’s but either way both deserve to be shown some recognition and hopefully more Man On The Internet songs can get requested to Dave in the future! Edit: I do also recommend checking out any of the other fan made lyrics to the three cut songs or find a re upload of it on youtube because those songs not only are good but help understand the context of this musical)
I would absolutely love to see more of this honestly. I always loved his Undertale songs Also I am pretty sure it's been like... 100 years since the war occurred? Maybe more? Been a bit since I've seen stuff on this game, so my knowledge is pretty rusty. Also fun fact, Toriel (the queen) is also the tutorial level. The human is Frisk.
So best fan theory i've heard of regarding Toriel and other boss monsters like here is that they are like Falkor from The Neverending Story...ya know the fuzzy goat looking DRAGON. especially because Toriel and Asgor both use fire magic. How the flying fek have you gone NEARLY 10 YEARS without getting this game spoiled?!
Chat im so impatient for his reaction for..(yall know the song im talking abt) but either way all of these songs are PERFECT & u dave, need to watch the rest PLEASE
If you're going to continue this, will you also do the non-musical songs like "Dummy!" ? If you do continue, I highly recommend seeing the entire musical in one go so you can get all of the context for the songs.
WHAT IT DO DAVE! I have personally never seen this, but I am an Undertale fan. The songs are cool and mean a lot, but I feel there is stuff missing. The commenters on here are saying there is more story in the full video. I know the full video may have legal issue, but I feel we should watch the full video to get the story. The 3 songs that needed to be cut out (""Metal Crusher", "Bergentrückung" and "Metal Crusher Reprise") you can turn off and turn on the fan made remake of those songs so you don't get in trouble legally. but the full 4 hour video has more story for all of us and I feel we would be enveloped with you. Maybe a 4 hour undertale musical live stream??? 😲
The playlist is the full story except for those three that’s missing. I went and compared the tracks in the playlist to the time stamps in the 4 hour video.
@ I am only talking about the few lines of speaking that is in between each song. Or at least that is what I have read from the other commenters. If I am mistaken, then I apologize. Keep working hard and I’ll be here for your next upload.!
@@hunstraucity8644 There are no legal issues for the full Musical that I know of so it should be fine to watch and react and if you enjoy the Musical, you will love everything Man on the Internet has made since then 7 years ago.
First, PLEASE keep this series going! Second, most Undertale players don’t like the “Genocide” route in the game, which is probably why the last video didn’t do so well.
I stated this in the intro, but for additional info, I did count the number of videos in this playlist against the time stamp sections in the 4 hour one. I counted, I believe 2-3 missing. Which aligns with what I said in the intro of this video. You can check yourself. But I believe the copyrighted stuff was taken out of the playlist from the creator.
@@whatitdodave yeah from what I’ve heard some TH-camr decided to copyright man on the internet so he had to remove like 3 of the songs from the playlist, which is dumb because the songs were completely original and were made by man on the internet, TH-cam seriously needs to fix their copyright system
@@whatitdodave I want to mention something from your reaction to Ruins is that the human was not singing it was the Ghost Napstablook that they fight afterward. @@hunstraucity8644 The Man on the Internet crew has done a great job singing/acting considering they are a TH-cam channel compared to Epic which I assume has a lot more funds behind it. Both of them are great and have a lot of effort put into them.

There's no set time frame for how long the monsters have been underground for so it's kind of up to interpretation.

I saw the full thing. Its so amazing! Definitely stick with it! Undertale itself is a great story.
Gothem and actors have been around since the war which was centuries ago. Boss monsters don't age unless they have a child. They HAD one.
You should definitely continue making videos on this I'll be there everytime you do
