    Love this layout, a representation of every type of industry of a thriving America is seen. Some that is long gone. I love this layout, I could look at it for hours.

    God, this is SIMPLY & ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. This is the PRR I remember out of Maryland, DC, Philly & NYC... I even remember the New Haven & New York Central tracks and catenary & also the locomotives and cars... all of it!!!! Kachel is a genius like Metuchen's Andy Rubbo.... GREAT AMERICAN ARTISTS! I gotta come back to the Eastern Seaboard to see this. I just gotta... THANK YOU... THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL... every time i see this gorgeous layout, i see something new and magnificent. the wiring is so straight and true - it looks preternatural... My God this is great.... thanks so much... arthur (Ngai)

    Utterly astounding!! And I thought Ken's was excellent in another of your video segments & it is but, there just aren't words for how incredibly detailed & scenic these segments are. They're just candy for the eyes & very little imagination is needed to make you feel as if you're really there. Thanks for sharing such astonishing layouts.

    The elephant?... perfectly normal. But the camel, eh not so much.
    So do those tracks go to another room? ...and does memory serve me correctly - there's a section not flown over that is more of a countryside type affair (?)
    Thanx so much for this Bill and I hope you'll do a 'revisit' someday (?)
    cheers

      Thanx Bill... I think Bill K's layout will always be me favorite...
      Btw do you ever work on your own setup anymore?
      cheers

      Jonny Beck funny you said that. I’m working on an expansion as we speak, taking a break, back to it in 10 minutes. Will do a video when complete.

    Best model railroad I may have seen yet, and lately, I've seen the greats : La Mesa Club, Pacific Coast Lines, Colorado Railroad Museum, Kansas City Eastern. This is not pretty scenery. It is gritty. Is this during the Penn Central early era, or do you play your OPS by ear i.e. whatever era someone wants to run their trains in?

    Simply astounding! I can only imagine how many man hours and talented expertise went into building this amazing layout. Is this a club or private layout? Thank you for sharing.

    A) He has some considerable money invested in this layout. B) There are no little children living in this home. C) His wife thinks "it's cute".

    Some parts (most) looks to clutard , trying to fit as much in as possible , it cool to look at for all that's going on but for me it looks more like a display for Lionel O scale than ho scale, if you take a look at Rod Stewart's Pennsy layout ,he achives the city look without the to much in one space look ,sometimes (LESS) is better

      I agree his rendition of the 59th street St bridge is compressed to two lanes but it looks right due to its length.i made the cargo ship for rods layout.it also is compressed by reducing the length of the cargo holds.the best thing about rods layout its 39.5 inches high

    • @robertswickard3700
      @robertswickard3700 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frederic Hutch Hutchins if you did build the ships for Rod's layout ,have you had the chance to see the rest , not saying this isn't beautiful , it is , I know we all have limited space ,I'm doing Pennsy horseshoe curve, inside radius is 50 inches ,but even then 4 diesels look to much and ,2 decs look good but 2 big J1 are to much ,some people would run them doubleheaded ,me I just can't , it makes the hole curve look small , one great thing about this hobby is we all have our own touches , views and that is a great thing all it's own
