My older brother used to have one with this engine in red, funnily enough his one was also made in 2009. All I can say, is that it's a great little supermini. Considering the engine only has 8 valves, it's quicker than you'd expect. For 77 bhp, it pulls quite well up to 3rd gear. The engine, in typical Italian fashion, has a nice exhaust note. Parking is extremely easy and I find that the City steering isn't needed at all, unless your arms are the size of twix bars. Best of all, it's comfortable and is fun to drive. If you're watching this video and you're after your first car, I can easily recommend for you to get a Grande Punto. They had a wide range of engines and I'm sure you'll find one just for you.
I have the fiat punto evo for almost 3 years now. The car is surprisingly sporty for its small engine. If you get used to it you can even do really fast corners and 90 degree drifting. The engine can Rev up to 6000 without a problem. Im driving it like crazy and it seems undestructible. I even used it off-road sometimes and it handles very well. My speed record is 183km/h or 113mp/h. Only from 0 - 60 it's a bit slow wird 13 seconds more or less.
Eu moro no Brasil Eu tenho um punto já consegui colocar 200 km nele o motor permite acelerar em alta rotação,por anda muito exigindo do motor em 4 marcha ele fica mais esperto. O meu 1.4 aspirado 8 válvulas
@@tomtricks6838 I used a technique called "Trail Braking". There should be some good videos on TH-cam with detailed explanations, but be careful. The Punto has a pretty high center of gravity. Having some quality tires also helped a lot. I used pirelli summer tires but also here watch out when the road is wet.
I have the same car. I found that it is also (surprisingly) good for offroad, mostly because it's lightweight vehicle. With good tires, you can go through deep mud.

Have same model and same engine. Little bit slow when i drive with 4 passengers in but at the end love her a lot. I can see a Red light on your dashboard. What was the problem??
That's the door light, one of the doors is still open. But yeah, got an '07 Active Sport with the same engine, love her when I drive her alone, but with a couple of passenger it does feel like it's underpowered, too bad this engine can't be tuned
Qual motor ele usa? Punto no Brasil ele teve os motores: 1.4 Fire 8v 88 Cv 1.6 Fire Evo 16v 115 Vc 1.8 "Motor GM" 16v 130 Vc 1.4 Turbo "motor italiano" 16v 152 Cv
Na verdade, acho que até 2010 que era o 1.8 8v da GM, depois de 2010 sim passou a ser 1.8 16v, mas não dá GM, e sim o E-torque. O 1.6 16v também é E-torque.

Can confirm, I bought mine last year, fun car to drive around. Did pay a little too much for it, but after all the things considered? No regrets lol
be careful with gearbox as it’s very common for them to break
I weight like 95kg and 190cm tall, but I still using city mode all the time, even on the highways 😂😂😂😂
I just bought my first car, Fiat Grande Punto, 1.4, 2008 and i have to say it's easy to drive and very comfortable 👌😍 i love it

I am from India i bought used Grande Punto 1.3 Jtd Multijet engine 76 ps one Oceanic Blue Top Model (version name Is Emotion) Oceanic Blue Shade love her Even on first ride
Love her drove many cars but Fiat Linea Punto is beast built like tank safe famous in India
Indian Fiat Tv Ad moto was Crafted For True Car Lovers
This engine was award as National Engine Of India For it's reliability and Easy to Modify engine and cheap to maintain and fun to drive
India mostly car runs on Fiat 1.0, 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0 multijet 2 diesel engines
My only complaint would be it's missing a 6th gear. driving 100km/h at about 3000rpm and 120km/h at 4000rpm it's pretty loud
Die Abrollgeräusche bei dem Auto sind im Innenraum lauter hörbar als der Motor.
Yep.. it makes it completely irrelevant.
True
I gotta admit late 2000s cars have easily the most nostalgic interior.
mid - late 90s for me
All hard plastic in either gray or black 🤣
Wonderful car.... Except for this goddamn blinker sound🤣
Fiat punto zwina bazaf aalah yhafdek 😘😘😘🙏🙏
Most beautifull interior in b classe
top!
Beautiful and dynamic car!!!
Damn, that 5th gear is so short, seems like 100km/h is at around 3200-3300 rpm?
Yes
Did you notice a lot of cabin noise, when you made the video?
вернусь когда возьму хороший вариант
вернулся
@@бибиб-л4ъкак тебе? думаю брать 1.4 не турбо, но пока выбираю между ним и маздой 3 2007 года. Как-то мазда поинтереснее выглядит за те же деньги.
It’s my sisters car so I love it
nice
My one
This car probably drives for hours with a drop of gas
100 km/h and 3200 rpm? What for?
Short gearbox, this is city car
@@ShadowPL_99 i have punto 2 for city driving, 1.2 8v and have 2800 rpm with 100 km/h. Older car, less power and longer gearbox...
I don't now. I have a Ford Focus mk2 1.6 100 HP and I don't have a problem with high rpm
yes this car really misses a 6th gear
can u explain the buttons on the dashboard?

Me too with 60hp Punto
But you just need to rev higher gears, change them at 3500 or 4000 rpm for exemple

Ever considered to get yourself a driver license? You destroyed the clutch completely already before you left the parking lot :D

1.6 Fire Evo 16v 115 Vc
1.8 "Motor GM" 16v 130 Vc
1.4 Turbo "motor italiano" 16v 152 Cv
1.4 8v 77hp ta no titulo

Is this 3 door or 5 door Punto
I think 3 but not sure
Five doors

Ужасно высокие обороты двигателя на пятой передаче. Этот шум насскорости 100км/ч очень неприятный. Эта машина не для загородных поездок.
To slow i have fiat punto tvin air b turbo 0.9
My car hahahhaha
