My dad is on the farthest left first row in that clip! So happy a die hard Cubs fan like my dad is immortalized as a fan who got tor see that Cubs magic live
Fukudome was how I could tell real cubs fans from the bandwagons in school in 2015-16 by asking them what number he was, same dudes who made fun of me for being a cubs fan 5 years ago were wearing cubs jerseys by 2015 playoffs and damn right I called them out
2023 and while I miss Len I am so happy for all his success with the white Sox. His first love is radio and Pat Hughes isn’t going anywhere for good reason. I am so happy he was able to get a radio job in the same market and didn’t have to uproot his family and move elsewhere. Win/win for everyone around. Cheers to continued success Len!!
Len got me into baseball during the 2006 season (I was only 6 at the time) and I still have memories of sitting in the back room watching a cubs game but Len always stuck out to me for some reason. I also want to go into broadcasting later in my life and he has really had an influence on me on broadcasting along with John Weideman and Pat Foley (Blackhawks TV and Radio play-by-play broadcasters)
Not only is Len Kasper currently doing play by play on radio and NBC Sports Chicago for the White Sox, but also doing play by play for MLB on FOX/FS1. He's really busy.
I feel bad for the pain of Cubs fans right now. This dude is such a money announcer and straight up left his team (which literally won him a World Series not long ago) for their biggest rivals. This is very pleasing for me, a white sox fans but I do genuinely feel bad. this dude yelling “CUBS WIN” is so iconic. And now we bouta here “SOX WIN” let’s go Sox
Len Kasper has ties to Michigan and the Tigers are looking for a TV Play by Play guy, maybe they can poach him from the White Sox, he's definitely miles above the old TV guy the Tigers have, but unfortunately I assume he's tied to a contract with the White Sox.
It seems like Len Kasper wanted to go into radio and seems happy with the White Sox. At 52, he's still not very old as a broadcaster. So you never know if he wants to join his hometown team.
Worst commentators ever: Kirk Gibson, Joe Buck, George Blaha, Jason Strayhorn, Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson, Fred McLeod, Austin Carr, Marv Albert, Brent Musburger, and Mike "Doc" Emerick. Best commentators ever: Ken Daniels, Mickey Redmond, Mario Impemba, Rod Allen, Neil Funk, Stacey King, Gary Thorne, Bill Clement, Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Don Orsillo, Jerry Remy, Pat Hughes, Ron Coomer, Len Kasper, Jim Deshaies, Bill Land, Sean Elliot, Bob Fitzgerald, Jim Barnett, Frank Beckmann, Jim Brandstatter, Dan Dierdorf, Johnny Most, Chick Hearn, Joel Meyers, and Stu Lantz.
Len Casper has got to go. ! Not because of any of these but it’s September of 2018 and he keeps trying to predict future and he’s 75/25. Move on black cloud!
Is anyone else watching this in 2020 after hearing the news that Len is leaving for the White Sox radio job?
yep :(
Let’s go sox
As a Sox fan yes I am. He’ll never be able to replace Ed Farmer.
@@brandoncastro6731 he wont
@@brandoncastro6731 rest in piece farmio
I like listening to Len and JD, Len's very knowledgeable like Pat Hughes, and I like JD's corny dad jokes
man Fukudome had one of the best damn debuts of any Cub ever. too bad it didn't last

Wow, he sounds so much younger in most of these clips! Can't believe he's already been calling Cubs games for 13 years.

pain.
Oh, Baby!
I will for sure miss him, 16 years of him, he was the voice of the cubs for me :(

NOW HES LEAVING WTF
Came for this exact reason, the world really is falling apart, should’ve took the hint in the 2016 World Series lmao
And going to your cross town team? That’s crazy
Man I wish Len could still get this excited. He has his moments, but he doesn't have that crack in his voice like he used too.
He does it still
Although he's more unbiased now, making him a better announcer IMO
WE MISS YOU LEN
Just when i thought we had our next long term announcer...
His voice cracks everytime
LEN COME BACK
Miss him
Awesome
I miss Len Kasper.

Let's be real, you're not hearing "Sox win" a whole lot
Who’s here after he’s going to the south side
The Sox are getting a good one
The Sox gonna win it all
who here after he is leaving the cubs
Pain
Came here for the "ohh baby!"
Going to miss him in 2021 Len Casper
lol I remember that Ramirez walk off. One of the best cubs memories for me (outside of the WS).
Thank God Zambrano got his no-hitter 9 years before the Astros were banging on trash cans.
Welcome to the Southside Len!!!!
I remember at 13 years old watching Zambrano pitch that no hitter. Became a Cubs fan ever since.
I remember watching that Fukudome homer against the brewers... goosebumps...
I’m gonna miss him so much 🥺😭 Cubs just aren’t the same
God damnit I'm going to miss you, Len.
Now listen to his White Sox radio call of Morel’s walkoff. It confused my brain and hurt my heart.
Then he never really was a Cubs fan because once a Cubs fan, always a Cubs fan. I could NEVER go Southside no matter the $$$$.
He's so much better with the Sox
Len was the one who attracted me to the Cubs. Now he’s calling for the white Sox. It hurts.
I was at that game when Ramirez hit that home run
Ohhhh baby!
#ThankYouLen
Welcome to the Southside Kasper
I never realized how simple Maddux's windup was...

Now he’s coming to the right side of Chicago! 😈
Harry Caray!
*PAIN*
Welcome to the south side
At least Len Kasper isn't in the same booth with Hawk Harrelson, calling a Cubs-White Sox game!!!
Michael Powell kasper would be talking all the while harrelson would be silently sipping his whiskey
We need this
welcome to the better side of chicago 💵
Correction. The best side of Chicago
I was so mad when he left the Marlins. But I guess you can't blame him right?.
i liked len better when he was biased towards the cubs :)
I know he’s regretting his move rn lmao, even if the Cubs aren’t very good the White Sox are historically bad
Cubbies
CUBS WIN!!!!
hahah best calls..the worst Cub announcer in HISTORY
Welcome to the south side!!! Sorry cubs fans

Where does Vin fall....
Ron coomer? really? he's a nice addition to Hughes but... he doesn't belong in the same category as pat Hughes
Buck is actually good. And how is Gary Thorne good he’s so annoying?? And where’s Matt Vasgersian the best current announcer ?
Len Casper has got to go. ! Not because of any of these but it’s September of 2018 and he keeps trying to predict future and he’s 75/25. Move on black cloud!
He used to get excited the first couple of years, but now he is just plain BORING!
simplygu ikr
