People are getting value from their supervised v.12 FSD right now. A potential robotaxi future is secondary to the current value of the software to ~10% of the customer base. The only way to get to real general autonomy is the way Tesla is doing it. Paying drivers would take exponentially more time and cost. Severance is largely a matter of the legal system you work under. If you live in the US, you basically have no employment rights so its up to your contract. In Europe (EU, UK) and other civilised countries, employees are protected from employers because you always protect the person with the least power, which is to say kids from adults, employees from employers, civilians from soldiers, bicycles from lorries. Maybe Elon should do an Alphabet and operate an umbrella company under which Space X, X, The Boring Company, Neuralink and Tesla sit? It's possibly too late to do that though. Honestly, he must be delegating most things because the three most important companies are doing well. TBC is doing abominably so could honestly do with some love from him, and money, because we want small tunnels for people and bicycles to get under rivers and major roads, for serious transport we want big fat tunnels dug safely, quickly and cheaply in that order. And there’s no reason to upgrade their current cars because range hasn’t increased in years. Tesla needs to go back to the days of consistent range increases and improvements to drive more sales from their key customer demographic

Tesla is a bit of a disaster right now. The only model that gets the tax credit is the one everyone is waiting for the refresh to buy. Miniscule Cybertruck rollout is stop sale and white Model 3 interiors are MIA. Been using FSD 12 for weeks and it's better but still (many) years away from level 5. Just kinda seems like it's going off the rails, which smells strongly of Elon's rapidly degrading mental health.
The Cyber Truck was the big red flag. Why on Earth would Tesla put so much effort and money into a product that will pretty much only sell in North America to very well heeled Cyber rednecks? What were they thinking? The rest of the world drives cheap hatchbacks and SUV's, they don't drive "trucks". Even in my home country of Australia where utes are definitely a big seller, "trucks" aren't popular. I'm not kidding, you would see 200+ small hatchbacks and small SUV's to every truck. And in Europe and the Asias, even more. Not focusing their efforts on the model 2 was a huge mistake in product planning. Monumental, I would suggest. Instead we've got this behemoth of wedge shaped urinal on wheels that is obviously barely selling at all, I would suggest, due to the lack of sales figures. All I can say is wow.
I'm honestly really fed up with Elon. I think he's at the beginning stages of really getting ready to ruin Tesla. This news reeks of similar internal conflict and layoffs/firings as when he took over Twitter. It's just less noisy and more polite. Like you said Drew, i'm probably not going to sell my Tesla stock. It's not like it'll go to zero over night, but i am cautious about buying. I'm worried about Tesla's future unless Elon gets his shit together or leaves/is pushed out.
May be they have been wanting to retire for a long time and Elon is just asking them to hold off till they announce layoffs. All bad news at same time is better than stock crashing after every bad news.
I'm doing dca and I think in the end the stock will go to a 1000 dollars minimum within ten years. FSD and Teslabot are game changers. And btw: Tesla without Musk would be a lost cause.
So, let me get this right. You purchased $1,697,250 worth of Tesla shares That are now worth $1.215,510, a loss of exactly $481,740. But if you lose another $363,010 in value, taking your total losses to $844,750, you're then going to throw another $225,000 into the mix? Have you got some sort of financial machoism fetish? Dude, you're down nearly half a million dollars. What are you thinking?
Tesla has been doing layoffs almost every year since 2018. So this shouldn't be a shock and necessary, they also have hired more people after the layoffs each year. Wall Street doesn't get it and it's okay let them drop the stock price so I can buy more. But yeah, Elon spends way too much time on X and should focus more on Tesla. I do wonder why so many people that have been with Tesla for a long time, leave. If it's a great company why would you leave? Drew was great at articulating things at events, Elon not so much. @@solar2k6 You will thank me later
Why on Earth would Tesla put so much effort and money into a product that will pretty much only sell in North America to very well heeled
Cyber rednecks? What were they thinking? The rest of the world drives cheap hatchbacks and SUV's, they don't drive "trucks". Even in my home country of Australia where utes
are definitely a big seller, "trucks" aren't popular.
R.I.P. BEVs
This is why Elon hates unions lol
Elon hates people.
Can you tell me who or what Elon actually likes? I don't think that he even knows.
STOP CRYIN' & START BUYIN' TSLA. I bought 7750 shares at $219 basis. Will buy 2250 more share if drops to low $100's.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 at 219 you are screwed bud.
Drew will be missed.

Tesla is in big trouble. Read the writing on the wall.
Genuinely don’t know how you can keep defending him. I wanted a model 3 so gd badly, but I refuse to support a fascist. I don’t blame you for buying one - but my god man, read the room.
Not sure why you think I am defending him… I’ve suggested he leave Tesla countless times and that RoboTaxis aren’t possible
@@TailosiveEV fair point, I guess more succinctly (frankly less s**tty too, sorry) I wish you would be more intensely critical of Tesla specifically when it comes to Elon being the catalyst for the opinion shift. You’re a powerful voice in the ev TH-cam space and have been a frequent supporter of the brand for years and years. If people like you start to make consistent commentary, maybe he can be forced out. I guess I was wrong to say you’re defending him. My bad, dog.
what? Bro really said that one Drew guy was going to be the next Musk lmao. I don't even watch tesla shit, but I know for a fact it'll be that Chinese dude. Some people just aren't that smart and don't see the obvious
Tesla is the future get used to it
Frankie! Where's the rest of your copy pasta spam?
@@reginald7214one of his brain cells stopped working so that's all he has lol.
Yep, I'm seeing many of their investors living in some of the best tents on skid row.
They're saving pennies by firing some of those top executives like Drew
