    Just noticed that Chris' campaign is successful already within a day! Congratulations to him and we know that we will definitely see the final product and can't wait to review it!

    Got the bag just before the pandemic. The quality is reallly good. The fabric, especially, is a lot better than my Peak design 5L. Can feel the toughness on my first touch. Thanks for the review.

    Nice, I ordered one off of Kickstarter. I have a PD 5L sling bag, but wanted something a little larger with more versatility. I use Micro 4:3 stuff, too. Olympus E-M5 MkII. Can't wait for the MkIII. Hopefully I'll be bringing both to London next year in March/April.

    I've got a collection of slingbags for my camera. One of them is a fishing bag that is a very similar form factor and usage to this. However, I travel for work a lot and one advantage to using a bag not intended for a camera is that the insert removes and goes into my backback when flying. So my question is: does the padded insert remove from this bag?

    • @Red35Photography
      @Red35Photography  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      YoSpiff yes, you can remove everything inside

      Well, I took a chance and pledged for the X pac version. It doesn't look like the insert removes as a complete, usable bag of it's own, but the bag is a form factor I have used and like. I had a look at the Peak 5L that someone else said it looked similar to. The Peak appears to have a well thought out interior, but no water bottle pockets or tripod straps and those are a big deal for me.

    How does this compare to the peak design sling?

    Most impressive.

    I pledged for the early bird X-Pac version.. still on the fence though as 19.8cm height is too much for me, most of my sling bags are 16-17cm but I like this one as it can be transformed into a waist pack and has tripod holders underneath

      The Pro Camera Sling Bag is still on Kickstarter at the moment, but has already reached its target! You can see more about their campaign in the link here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/instinctbackpack/pro-camera-sling-bag-making-differences-in-all-details

    It is really good to see you supporting Kickstarter 👍 the bag looks good, but I don't get the last part where you can swap the bags strap to the camera as it's strap... what about the bag? Does is float in the meantime? 🤔🤦‍♂️
    But I really like the straps on the bottom. I miss them on my 5L sling bag by another company 🤗

    maybe add some hidden zipper (for passport and cash) would be good

    Looks heavily inspired by the peak design 5l. Could be a good cheaper alternative if it has great build quality.

      From the prototype I touched, the materials strength is there, I hope the finish is as good as the previous backpack. But Chris is giving 2-year warranty on all the bags so I guess that say something!

    Great stuff; love it when small innovative companies start to break through. I remember one called Billingham he he; I still have the gorgeous sand coloured SLR holster I bought back in 1990 looking just as fresh as I bought it (that really was a cottage industry back then and they tested them by walking into their home shower I seem to remember). The key really is the material, these new high tech fabrics are amazing. I changed my heavy leather ONA Brixton messenger last year for an ultra light weight red Crumpler Doozie that even with my camera stuff installed is lighter than the leather Brixton empty. I was suffering from all sorts of back pain and was just desparate. The Crumpler solved all my problems and has greater capacity, yet looks smaller. It will even take my Nikon D700 with lens fitted at one end (rest of my bag is full of girl in the city junk). It will even take my HP Spectra i7 13inch Ultrabook on trips. Mostly it just has my Lumix GX9 with the Olympus 17mm f1.8. I always carry my lovely little red Olympus TG-3 in the front pocket; as i mostly have a prime lens the Tough provides me with a zoom lens. Hope the house move goes smoothly and have fun ;-)

      Thanks Vici. Chris is a lovely guy and I too love smaller companies as they are more 'personal' than the 'corporate' big giants who rely on marketings. I am going to get one since it's tiny and can be collapsed flat and put it in my luggage when I travel, so I can take it out when I 'need' a camera bag for my tiny M43 kit :D
