All those school supplies in the staples dumpsters makes me so mad. Like why are teachers buying this stuff for their kids and low income families cant afford all that stuff and big corporations like staples just throws all this stuff away instead of donating it to schools in their local area
I bet it's too much trouble for the staff to put that stuff into a box for a weekly collection. It's easier to skip returns than see if someone can use them.

Hi guys. Those finials if for some reason you cant use them on curtain rods, you could make a cool coat rack by attaching to a piece of wood and hang in the foyer or in a bathroom for towels. Just a thought:) great finds :)
I went dd today and we found a wooden clothes hamper, a full poo pouri, vases, a backpack, storage bins, a table , a ceramic bride, white erasers for cleaning and real plants !!! Lol it was a good day

Those racks are cool for crafting,Wall art, Hang pictures from it in frames different lenghts and different frames,I did it on my one wall and it looks so cool.You can alo attach to wall and hang your chains and jewelry from.Great dive!

Awesome haul,Another 💡 IDEA I always take the fake plants when diving & you cld make a cool drift wood center piece just drill out holes or really use any kind of log & add the small cute fake Succulent or a cute planter of your choice,you cld really add them to about anything,Love the blow dryer.👍
Great idea!! Also I've recently seen videos where people take broken pots and make some gorgeous creations using small plants like Hens and Chicks! It looks awesome and has kind of a "cascading" multiple-tier effect with the broken planter pieces stuck into the dirt and more plants added underneath. Hard to explain but it looks really cool! Watching this video I was like take the broken pots and the plants!!! LOL
Donna yeah I know exactly what your talking about I actually have chicks & hens growing in pots outside & some inside they multiply fast. My husband wants to do a rock garden & add them to it.
Love the staples haul I still haven't found anything at mine. But i know that persistent checking will triumph. I got a haul at hallmark two nights ago and have been checking about 2 months now with no luck. Got stuff out minutes before the evening garbage man came.

you know what's irritating about watching these videos is that teachers are always struggling to pay for their students supplies, which they should not be doing, but they do out of their own pocket and you find most of these items in the trash 😒
I would taken the rods and use them for small windows and to put up a curtain up over the windows in a shower. There is so much I could have done with them
Sorry, I’d have to go dumpster diving at a Kirkland dumpster myself, I don’t see them throwing this stuff away. Personally, I’d take stuff and give to employees, or donate. before I’d toss in dumpster. Just saying. A lil... far fetched.
Most retail stores have policies against anyone taking the damaged goods, even if your manager gave it to you it would be against policy and both parties would be fired. Stores do throw damaged/returned items out all the time just like you see on here, there are certain conditions for when a returned item can be reshopped, but most of the time they end up in the trash.
You could make your own holders and use them for towel bars. They are the right size to hold bath towels. I would have kept the rods too and not just t he ends. You might even be able to find curtain rod brackets that would fit the thickness of those rods. It is the 'repurpose' in 're-use, refurbish and repurpose' that you have to think about here.
Those rods and metallic chair legs would be good to collect considering you may encounter another that lacks one, or you'll find a barn door that lacks a part for the roller. Or simply you'd like to make your own.
Also, I'm a abstract acrylic painter. Y'all should check out my Facebook page and buy some of my stuff! Maybe I'll make a mixed-media piece with two pairs of...GLOVES glued to the canvas...
Keep it up!! I believe in recycling! We waste so much stuff in the US and any other countries for that matter.. I do dumspter diving with my family and we often find, like you, brand new items in the trash.... I also found a hairdryer and it was working fine! Hope yours is working too! Our biggest item of all was a wine cooler (used but in working condition- I still have it). It took us forever to get it out of the dumpster as it was pretty heavy. I also found a Professional Keurig coffee maker worth 270 bucks (the water container was missing but I purchased a new one online for 50 bucks). I still have the machine and it works like a charm!

Don’t use screws please. You need to wood glue it and use a brad gun across the edges to join them. Take your time, it should look great. If you take a piece of the wood to Home Depot paint dept., they can match the color.GOOD LUCK, you found some nice things.
Ummm. Yes, curtain rods. Not all windows are 48 to 96" wide... or mount it on the wall above a single bed, drape fabric over it, you have a luxurious faux headboard.

I went to our Dollar General and found an 8 pack of Bounty paper towels, a nice picture, hand soap, unopened hanging planters, candles. And I have only been looking in dumpers for 2 weeks
The rods are not display. The new rods for window treatments that are scrunched to fit that size rod. So you don't. Hang them like the older ones... Just FYI
When's the best time to go ? I was wondering about this. Because we have a ton of these same stores. I don't understand why they throw good stuff away? Instead of donating it. Especially, clothes. Some I see slash it.
I used to work for a warehouse distributor, for low value or bulky items it usually record and destroy as per agreement with the supplier. So legally the stores have to trash it. It is part of some suppliers no question warranty policy, if a retailer donated it somewhere they could be forced to return any money paid out for the warranty return. I know it sounds like a waste but it is what it is.
when dumpster diving never pass up any type of storage bin even if it has a small crack in it because when you go to little your vehicle you need to save as much space as possible so therefore you can put the small items in those bins and you know that you have space in the car or truck whenever you have but still don't pass them up those envelopes you really could have taken him out of there and they would have dry and it would have been fine any type of office stuff whether it be the little paper clips or whatever if they fall and whatever they still there just pick it up you can always separate the stuff later on I think you waste too much time you know going through in the evening and then you're like trying to hurry up and then when you get home it'll be a lot better I'm just saying thank you
The one fuzzy fabric with beads falling out, is a draft stop for at bottom of a door in the winter only know this because I've made them for family members .

Those still can be used on small windows doors. You can use WD-40 TO GET INK OFF OF FABRIC. USE GENTLY IF IT GETS A LITTLE OIL STAI.N DAE. DISH SOAP
