SAUNDERS BOOK:
-great for foundation/knowledge
-review and reference book for chapters/units you don’t know well, i.e. heart rhythms
UWORLD:
-2 practice tests, 90 day (3 month option for $129)
-take notes on the rationale and study them
-study key points within the rationale since they are long
-understand why the answer is correct & why the other options are incorrect bc this gives you info on other topics and explanations
-select all that apply questions are important to do
-50-100 questions a day is what I studied, originally studying one unit/system a day and then moved onto combining different units for variety of questions to mimic actual NCLEX
-UWORLD SCORES/PERCENTAGES:
-difficult questions, don’t be discouraged by 50-60%, its about learning from the rationale and yours scores will improve as you keep doing the questions
-practice tests: 2: did get very high chance of passing ~80%
-did the practice tests 2.5 weeks before and then 1 week before actual NCLEX date
HOW LONG TO STUDY:
-8 weeks, 4-5 hours a day,
-give yourself 5-10 weeks to study because you don’t want to forget stuff from beginning, but depends on you
-I did go back and reviewed some questions i didn’t know well
PHARMACOLOGY:
-only used UWORLD
-Saunders has a lot of questions but UWORLD is overall better
-know your LAB VALUES well!
DAY BEFORE/DAY OF NCLEX
-reviewed lab values
-remember everyone writing the test is nervous, everyone is going through the same thing!
-testing environment was nice, quiet & they give you headphones/ear plugs for noise cancellation
NCLEX DAY:
-75 questions, took ~1 hour
-next morning at 4 am i got an email saying that I passed
-take breaks if you need to!
-I did not study on this day prior to my test
-I tried to book an earlier time so that I was not anxious for hours until my test
-bring your ID!
FINAL TIPS:
-take a few deep breaths
-read the question very carefully
-take your time
-can use process of elimination for questions you are unsure of
-many questions that I didn’t know (SATA), so go with your gut
-don’t forget to do questions on leadership, management, nursing scope/roles, maternity
-I spent an average of ~1-2 min a question

took my PN EXAM April 12,2022. I Pass WITH 109 questions. Don’t be scared. Be positive and if you are a believer just leave everything in God hands after your studies, Don’t lean to your own understanding you will fail. The importance is to pass and not the numbers of questions. I used UWORD and Mark klimek only to study. When I finished my exam my spirit was calm and I had that inside peace. You should have a plan for study and time to relax. NCLEX is just straight forward. Proverbs 3:5.

Wow propel amaze me on how to pass NCLEX. I think so long as you studied in nursing school and mastered the principles an individual would be ready for NCLEX. It is a CAT exam that is individualized to each person. Nursing school knowledge is the most important.

The nclex was way easier then i expected I came out with the minimal amount of questions and thought to myself " I killed that shit or tanked it 😂" Mr Louis really helped me pass my nclex guys I think we should all try Mr Louis.

Thank you for all the encouragement! Just wanted to ask when you were doing questions on uworld, how did you write down the rationales ? For example if you’re doing basic care and comfort questions, how did you organize the topics on the rationales? Just so theyre not all mixed up? If that makes sense😆 also what source did you use to study lab values that are specifically for the nclex?

Granddaughter will pass the NCLEX in three days January 7 2021. She reviewed with ATI, UWorld and Hurst two day group teacher taught review. She passed in 75 minutes. She said it took her about 45 minutes. She was scared to do the PVT, I talked her into doing it. I was in WalMart when she called me to show the screen shot saying their is already a test scheduled. Followed it up two days later by confirming the Texas BON. Her name was there!

Just going through TH-cam i saw many viewers commenting and giving testimonies so i decided to put mine with intend to inspire that friend frustrated cause he/she has failed Nclex once twice or more don't give up. I tried Uworld, Kaplan, met numerous tutors got scammed and finally at God's time a friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Donald he helped me and now I'm officially RN. I recommended him to any student facing difficulties in this exam

I got a 91 percentile on Uworld self assessment and still failed nclex (twice). Now I’ve purchased archer and Princeton review and side by side im reading Saunders 7th edition. Uworld is just a Qbank yes it teaches u at the same time but it’s not enough if ur foundation is not clear. Archer and Princeton is what nclex mimics. Uworld is nothing like nclex in the way questions are formatted and asked.

I'm really sorry about that but I got used to it until I succeeded, I failed 5 times before I finally passed, It would have been 6 but Mrs Amilia saved me from failing again
I saw someone say she is not trustworthy i couldn't stop laughing, really people say a lot of shit these days
Passing Nclex test is easy when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advice you get yourself a help like Mr James
I've always believed Nclex is not all about studying, you need God's grace to pass
People keep talking about James all over TH-cam, he must be a very awesome help

Nclex might seem so tough to pass but studying very hard is a very vital skill to win trust me
