    This was my favorite era of Vince Carter. He was more explosive in Toronto but he developed into a much better overall basketball player in New Jersey.

    • @jameswalker6864
      @jameswalker6864 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      His very first or even two years in New Jersey he was equally explosive IMO. He was only 27 when traded to NJ, and still had not lost neither velocity nor jump. 27 is an age of physical prime.That explains why he still could average 27 points per game or so his first 2 seasons with NJ, un Toronto he never averaged more ppitns per game.

      It sucks he didn’t get the recognition he deserved with the Nets. I think the league basically wrote him off once the Toronto stuff went down. Even though it didn't result to an NBA Finals appearance during this era, the Kidd-Carter era in Jersey is still one of the most exciting thing to the franchise other than the Dr. J era and the Kidd era itself. Despite being around in the middle of the pack in attendance during this era, the fans still came to see J-Kidd and Vinsanity play. It's a shame that the timing was wrong because this was around the time the Eastern Conference got better with LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Dwyane Wade turning their respective teams into contenders, the Detroit Pistons terrorizing the East and with Shaquille O'Neal joining the Miami Heat.

    Vince Carter is the 2nd most talented player behind Michael Jordan. These highlights are unreal. It’s like Vince asks the defender, “how do you want it?” Then proceeds to humiliate.

    Vince carter is so underrated like people think he can only dunk when he was shooting 43.5% from the field and 37.1% from 3

    One of the difference of VC from other dunkers is that he has power in midair,he is like Shaq that can bang you up in midair.
