      The Sikh empire was vastly superior to the British forces that were in India, the only reason the Sikh empire collapsed is because of the Dogra Hindu's that manipulated the court and caused many deaths within the Royal family discreetly basically playing a Game of Thrones, and then they went to the British and made a deal with the British where they'll command Sikh troops to die purposely and not send reinforcements so the British can win the Anglo-Sikh wars and in return they'll have royal status of their lands. The Sikh Empire was the first modernized force within India, and was based off European standards, with several Foreign generals that trained their troops, and these generals included veterans from the Napoleanic Wars. They had a elite sikh unit that spoke in French as well. Apparently the emperor of France was friendly with Maharaja Ranjit Singh and sent him a gift. Maharaja Ranjit Singh united Panjab at a super young age and fought his first battle at 14, the British were afraid of Ranjit Singh when he was alive due to his intelligence and strategic skills. Another downfall is when Akali Phula Singh, a Nihang (Immortals) Sikh (Super traditonal Sikh) advised the Emperor that the Empire should be for the Sikh Community as a whole, and that the next Maharaja should be a skilled general as Ranjit's kids were inadequate. Hari Singh Nalwa known as the Tiger Killer was basically the Top general of the Sikh Empire, he's known for killing a Tiger with his bare hands by ripping it's mouth apart, as well as conquering the Pasthuns, he became a Afghan boogeyman where Afghan mothers would tell their kids "To go to sleep before Hari Singh Nalwa comes for you." He had the tradition of making Afghan men dress like women in order to be spared, that culture still exists today of their men wearing women's clothing (I think it's called Salwar Kameez) Once he finally died in Battle, he told the Sikhs to show his body and act like he's still alive, as his name alone rings fear tinto the Afghan troops.

To prevent that prepare your economy for that through building an autarky economy that is independent from trade.

    EIC is a super weak enemy. Even Bhurma can shat on EIC 10 times of its size. The problem is EIC discriminated against its own pops.. Officers and servicemen who dies during battles takes super long to be retrained at barracks, thus after the initial battles, they run out of manpower super quickly.

      The Sikh Empire (1799-1839) ruled under Maharaja Ranjit Singh included all of present day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all of Pakistan-Punjab, all of Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and present day India-Punjab. The most western part was Jamrud.

    • @Tarkusarkusar
      @Tarkusarkusar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not sure about exact borders or anything, but the Sikh Empire was essentially a highly modernized military and religious state. The First Anglo Sikh war was when the British and the Sikhs actually went to war, with guns and all, but the British had been interfering in Sikh politics for a long time indirectly. Beyond that, I don't know about how Punjab was split between the British and the Sikhs, but knowing what "Punjab" (both Indian and Pakistani) is today, those mountains to the north of Indian Punjab in game, which the EIC control at game start, don't look like they'd be part of Punjab to me, so I'm not sure why those are part of Punjab, instead of Kashmir. It's likely a gameplay balancing thing as a way to create tension between the EIC and Sikh Empire, who both will want to take the other part of what they consider their state.

    • @Reaper-mb7pw
      @Reaper-mb7pw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tarkusarkusar Indian Panjab was also split into 2 separate states such as Haryana after Partition, as part of India's plan on effectively eliminating Panjabi and replacing it with Hindi, but this is a whole different topic, also Sikh history is effectively being erased purposely by the oppressive Indian Government (Which is why they also classified Sikhs as Hindus with uncut hair legally) Got to be careful about sources when studying Panjabi history. And if you're wondering the correct spelling is Panjab Panj which means 5, and Ab which means Rivers, (Land of the five rivers) it was named by Persians. Many of the politics earlier were regarding the Nihang Singhs (They used to steal weapons and horses and sleep on horses as well to always be ready for combat, Nihang Singhs don't believe in such thing as Property, many British accounts will depict them as vicious savages, there was a story in a British written Sikh encyclopedia about a Officer getting his hand chopped off by one), before that they were concerned about how rapidly expanding the empire was, and they were in contact with the Phulkian Sardars. Eventually the British were communicating with Hari Singh Nalwa as he understood English, so he was sort of a Aid to the Maharaja. Eventually the British started conspiring with the Dogras whom betrayed the Sikh empire and is why the British won the Anglo-Sikh wars. It's believed the Maharaja Ranjit Singh might have been poisoned instead of dying from a natural death, as many of the deaths in the Royal family were thanks to the Dogras effectively trying to rule over the Royal family, and manipulating the court playing a sort of" game of thrones" Got to read from multiple sources, unfortunately the Indian government is holding onto some Sikh history themselves when they raided the holy golden temple in 84, and looted the library as well as some artifacts. 80% of the Military was Muslim, and essentially some of these Non-sikhs would convert to Sikhi so they can get better positions or higher ranks, other than the foreign generals that shaped the army into a capable modernized force. ( such as the Fauj-i-ain, Fauj-i-Khas and of course the Irregulars whom were the Nihang or Akali Sikhs who maintained their traditional way of combat, since the 10th Sikh Guru. ) But yeah the video game gave the Sikh empire a smaller start to create Tension with the EIC faction, these games are known to have slight inaccuracies regarding India, but I can't really blame them because of the amount of kingdoms and politics India was rife with, for example before the Sikh empire formed, it was Sikh Misl's (Warbands) and they all invaded eachother, however when a Non-sikh threat invaded Panjab, all of these Sikh warbands would unite into 1 Confederacy and attack the invaders, and then afterwards they'd continue their politics with eachother lol, however in EU4, they only let you play as a leader of 1 Prominent Sikh misl, lead by Jassa Singh, and they ignore Banda Singh Bahadur, who was a major Sikh Commander during the Sikh vs Mughal empire times.

      This might be because Britain is busy fighting a big war. Check if they're fighting Qing or America or something. If not, I'm not sure what's going on but they might just hate the EIC for whatever reason. Thing is, if Britain doesn't help the EIC, then they'll lose the EIC as a dominion once the war starts, which can be very positive for you in a different way. That strategy is actually what I used for my old speedrun strat on this channel. It's less reliable on current patch.

      Not sure if i should keep taking land from EIC and their puppets until i own India, or when i should go for subjugating Britain.
      Also i noticed when i switched to skirmish infantry i got my ass kicked by EIC, i assume this is because my military isnt well equipped enough and i need more ammunition and small arms etc.

      If you delete the troops in Kashmir and Pashtunistan, it'll mean 2 of your generals (who previously controlled the troops in those states) will no longer have any battalions, making them not in your control. You'd have to make more generals in the North India HQ to get more generals. In terms the EIC declaring war before the truce, I don't know how that could happen, but the easiest explanation is that you weren't paying attention and the truce actually was gone. Beyond that, I'd need more details to figure out how they could declare before the truce ended.

As I mentioned in my video, many GPs aren't willing to actually participate in wars all that often, but sometimes they will be a complete ass to you, especially if they've added war goals. not much you can do besides considering backing down if you've got a lot of war goals stacked against you and no chance of winning. You can always sneakily naval invade your main opponent's capital and hope it works, although Vienna is a bit far inland for that sadly.

Sometimes when there is a general there, I have huge trouble breaking through. It's just kind of a luck thing.

    Great content ! I just don't understand how you manage to stall/invade EIC + GB with only 90 troops, in my 3rd war was out number me wayy too much and i can't handle the triple front anymore while I'm using conscript from dehli and pundjab + having 120 regular troops any tips on it? Cheers

    Why did you have to take London first instead of just going for Transfer EIC? You can't transfer subjects unless you're a great power?

    • @Tarkusarkusar
      @Tarkusarkusar  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the EIC is a major power, you have to be a great power to transfer them. In theory, you can reach Great Power faster than I did, but I found that grabbing London was a good way to make future wars against Britain easier, while also accelerating my growth to Great Power.

  • @BrandonReinhart
    @BrandonReinhart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why is it you can't break through against EIC if they never send a general to the front?

    • @Tarkusarkusar
      @Tarkusarkusar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite honestly, no idea. I wish I understood more about the game's combat system but it is sadly shrouded in mystery. Sometimes I break through in one battle, other times, it takes forever. My theory is that there is some kind of behind the scenes dice roll going on for each battle that affects outcomes which we can't see.

    • @BrandonReinhart
      @BrandonReinhart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tarkusarkusar It seems like if they don't have a general, you end up fighting their entire defensive line and can't break through. Once they send a general, the battles become narrow. I've noticed if you wait and let them attack a few times, their manpower gets worn down and you can almost always break through after that.

    • @BrandonReinhart
      @BrandonReinhart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can also use this to your advantage by having your generals in Stand By, which makes the enemy fight a much larger width on the attack if there are few fronts.

    I don't like the fact that it changes the cool name Empire to just a country name, as the sikh I conquered the borders of Umayyads and just left the game there, just to have a cool map

      Nice. Sounds like a cool map. As for the De Normandie Gigachads, probably not going back to it just cause it became boring at a certain point once the border gore got insane, and I didn't have much material to show off.

    forming india ruins the empire under the sun achievement... be aware... i did a similar thing, but all that indian land at the start is juda kinda burden. i was fine just keeping a buncha provinces in northern india.
    also my britain barely came into save the EIC.

      I feel like India as a formable is fine for an empire but so big and so much population and natural resources you could easily go for superpower. Maybe not historical but I would want sub kingdoms for it for mid tier formables. You could go from quite ahistorical 'West India' 'East India' types, or countries like P Dravidia and North India or if you have any better ideas as I am not too learned on their history

    It's pronounced 'seek'

    • @Gutta1917
      @Gutta1917 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No its not. “Seek” is a westernization of Sikh. I am Sikh and Punjabi, ask an Amritdhari and they will always say Sikh, and refer to it as Sikhi (not Sikhism)

    • @Tarkusarkusar
      @Tarkusarkusar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a common mispronunciation to say "seek" for Sikhism, but the word in Punjabi is this one --> ਸਿੱਖ (pronounced sick). I speak Punjabi and grew up in a Punjabi community and can tell you it is definitely pronounced as it is written. I'm honestly not sure why when you google "sikh pronunciation" it gives the wrong way to say it, but rip.
