Dead & Company is an American rock band formed in 2015. The band is a continuation of the iconic rock group, the Grateful Dead, which was active from 1965 to 1995. Dead & Company consists of three original Grateful Dead members: Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti.
The formation of Dead & Company came after a series of reunion concerts by the surviving members of the Grateful Dead in 2015. The positive response from fans led to the decision to form a new band and continue performing the Grateful Dead's music.
