I lived around the area in the 60's and went to Denton Road Primary School. All that seems to have happened is a lot of demolition with very little to replace things. Newcastle city council don't appear to have made much of an effort to improve things. In my lifetime, I'm now 66, investment in terms of quality housing, shops and better transport connections has and still is sadly missing. Armstrong Road has been underfunded for decades. I don't live there anymore and haven't for quite some time.
