    thank you for putting these old picture on here they mad my 88year old mother,s day when i showed them to her it took her back to her childhood and even made her cry tears of joy. as she says that they have spoiled a lovely place with modern architecture so thanks for showing these

    I was born in the Bonny City of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1950.My parents,would
    off loved to see these old photographs.I am proud to be a Geordie.

    Great work. I have not seen photos of Newcastle that go back so far. What lovely historic buildings and nice clean spacious streets. I particularly liked the photo of the big ships going up and down the Quayside.
