- Teva brand Fludrocortisone was recently recalled, but it’s back on thr shelves in my area!
Is it available in your area?
I had a pretty negative reaction when I switched from Teva brand to Amneal during the recall. My Mal De Debarqment syndrome was severly aggravated and i wound uo constantly dizzy and unable to so much other than lay down.
For those of us with Addison’s Disease or Secondary who need Fludro, be sure to check out what’s available in your area. See the link below for more information regarding the previous recall:

Let me know what you’re taking and if you plan to switch back or stay on the nee brand!

I’ve been suffering with dizziness and a constant headache since @2weeks after picking up my last script of the white round Fludrocortisone.
I have a CT scheduled in a couple of weeks looking for possible reasons for the headache and dizzyness.
I’m calling my pharmacy and Endo to see about going back to the yellow oval pills.
Hopefully avoid the expensive CT. I almost started crying listening to your post with relief that my headache and dizzyness may have a simpler remedy. Thank you!!
@@meganswan143 I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of those symptoms! I do hope switching back to Teva helps! It took about 3 days before the dizziness decreased, but definitely noticed a difference once switching! Please keep me posted!

@@SeaSpriteSpoonie I will !! Already called my pharmacy and checked if they could get the TEVA, they said nope, it’s backordered. So I called Costco pharmacy, explained the situation, and they told me that not only could they get the TEVA but they will call my pharmacy and switch the prescription to them. Yay Costco Pharmacy!!
Too good to be true?!! Hope it works. Im almost in tears for hopeful relief.
Again, Thank you for posting.
@@meganswan143 I hope you’re able to find it! I know some people use Amazon pharmacy sometimes when they are having issues tracking certain brands. Best of luck!

I'm in Arkansas, and my pharmacy couldn't get either brand for about 3 days. Thank goodness I had some extras. Ended up switching to the white round ones and have felt terrible since about 2 days into the switch. Dizziness when standing, (thought I might pass out a couple times), headaches, high heart rate, and worse joint pain than usual, (also have EDS). I've been zooming with students for work from a recliner and doing most of my grad school work there as well because any other position made me dizzy or caused more pain. Can't wait to switch back.
@@Cheyenne_writes I’m so sorry you’re experiencing all of these symptoms as well! I definitely went through something similar and was an absolute wreck the whole time I was on Amneal. I truly hope you can make the switch soon and you find relief! Are you able to check another pharmacy in your area?

All good to learn.
@@roba5000 so glad it’s helpful information! What brand are you currently taking?

@@roba5000 have you always been on those? How do you feel on them?

I need to check the brands I'm on. I switched during this time not knowing anything about the recall because I found one of the white ones had less fillers. But there's two types of the white ones and one set me back for a while. I felt awful on it and didn't realize they kept giving me two types of the white ones.
@@Elisebt I’m so sorry you felt awful on it! I know I personally struggled with Amneal. I’d be interested to know which one you were given. What one are you on now? How are you feeling?

I switched to Cortef (cha-ching) in June 2024 because the Strides generic quit working. Since Cortef I am symptom-free.
@@johnwestervelt1525 I’m so glad you’re symptom free on Cortef! I’ve only had success with greenstone when it comes to hydrocortisone, strides never worked for me. Can I ask what happened for you specifically with Strides? I know many of us had issues with it working at all, so curious how long you were on it and okay with it prior to the switch.
