U.N. Squadron (1989) is a nice-looking horizontal shoot 'em up loosely based on a manga and anime series called Area 88 ( en.wikipedia.o... ) (which is also the name this game was released with in Japan), about a brave young pilot, Shin Kazama, and his experiences at a mercenary air force base.
Here, you see Shin mercilessly slaughtering everything in his sight and stuffing the bosses full of the heaviest artillery available-of course, not forgetting the usual suicidal dancing around the bullets in the meantime.

My favorite soundtrack in any game I've ever played
That submarine stage hits hard int he car.
Of all the enemies on the game, only the 'Wolf Pack' (mercenary air group), Seavet (submarine), and the Quartermaster Corps (supply trucks) were spared. They have no idea how lucky they are. lol

@@darksuns7384 It's competitors are very few: Axelay, R-Type III, Gradius 3, Cybernator. U.N Squadron on the SNES: actually improved upon the arcade game. On Megadrive it was easy, Thunder Force IV.
You are by far the best player I have ever seen at this game. I am tipping my hat to you wow.

Never seen a F-22 do a falling leaf, nose down, then pull a full barrel roll? The most advanced parts of the F-22 are the super strong kite string and bionic human that can run at Mach 1.

The explosion sounds in the SNES version have always sounded like wet garlic farts, or someone trying to do a Donald Duck impression.

The game is cheated, several parts of the game seems a bullet (attacks) hit the plane and gets no damage, also uses a turbo controller (that's not invalid of course). Who can't get that time with this "advantage"
It's a TAS! maybe look up what a TAS is before saying it's cheated.
