Fantastic Red Chested Cuckoo capture! We live in The Valley Of A Thousand Hills on the 2nd floor of the historic Hotel inthe tree canopy and these birds are always around along with all the othe Natal Sweet Thornveld species. Mkuze is like home to us!
Really enjoyed Part 2. Lovely camp site. That is one impressive tent. Great wildlife sightings and some birds I have never heard of. I liked the Amarula glasses....
My favourite KZN reserve and campsite. Kruger as a wilderness experience is possibly better but the whole experience from birding to rare predators to flora is outstanding. We have had fantastic experiences there from wild dog to rampant elephants to lion and incredible birding with great camping facilities. Can't wait to go back. Natal Banded Rubber Frog in the bath...
Love it. That 400 milestone is fast approaching. Now please hurry up and get the next video loaded. 😜 Only 12 more days before making that part of the world my new home. Sis, you and Rikus have definitely found your niche. Love your videos.❤️
I was just reminded to mention, always have cash. Last May here in Ottawa Canada, we lost electricity for 6 days after a bad storm. You could only use cash, if you could find something open. We have also run into issues in Zim and Zam not having cash on hand.
Nog 'n fantasiese video! Ja, ek dink ons was die week voor jullie daar. Daar was darm so vyf gesinne in eMshopi.
Dankie Jorrie! Ai..
Beautiful! And loved the bird life. Especially the cuckoo's. That tent looks gorgeous happy New Year and I know I am a bit late but hope you had a wonderful birthday in December, Stacey.
😂😂🙈🙈 The sun disappearances hit him hard. Brought out his true colours (his dad is a ginger 😋🙏🏼). Thanks guys! Excited to see what you guys get up to this year 🤩 very jealous about your Mabuasehube trip 😱
Aaa.. you are going to love it 🤩 Super excited for you.. we are already planning our next trip back in the dry season so that we can do the fig forest walk 😋 Luckily the electricity was back by the next day 🙌🏼 Eskom came to fix it that Monday afternoon. Are you going to stay at Mantuma? 🤩
Awesome! Maybe take a little bag of ice just in case 😉 We couldn’t get ice from the shop all 4 days we were there 🙈 We left our bottle of Amarula in the freezer to have a cold one every evening 😉 and I would suggest to take a bag or two of wood with as well. They have wood at the shop but it was quite a price for not much wood and it didn’t make the best coals under the sun. But if you don’t have anything else it would do 🙌🏼
It is a the Badger Bean Bag from Outdoor Photoshop.. they are amazing 🙌🏼 We have two of them for both doors of the car. We have also used them on game drives in a safari vehicle and they even work well if are not in a car. You turn them upside down and rest your lens in between the two sides on the ground 🙌🏼 Here is a the link for them on Outdoor Photos website 🙏🏼 www.outdoorphoto.co.za/badger-gear-snuggfit-beanbag-mini-filled
Hi Alan! If you check out our Day 4 video at Mkuze we give a tour of Emshopi campsite. While we were there last year December there were still a couple of things that needed to be fixed. But they didn’t bother us at all. All really minor things. We were there about a week ago and just drove past Emshopi and it looked like that had done quite a bit in the past 6 months 🙌🏼 If you check out Mkuzes FB page you often see the honorary rangers posting what they fixed 🙏🏼 They are really doing an amazing job and trying hard to get it in tip top shape 🙌🏼

Awesome campsite you're set up on. The new tent is great! Looking forward to the next episode. 💕
Keep the vlogs coming 🎉…visited Mkuze more than 10 years ago and these videos bring back memories!
THe Vervets got into our wine and custard casks, they were very hungover the next day lol
My favourite flower there is yesterday today and tomorrow. I love your channel.x
Love your new tent and the new Amarula glasses … I bet it tastes even more delicious! 😊

Hi from Northern Ireland. You’re in G-ds country now.
Great series, one of my favourite spots. I am currently looking for a new tent, what brand is yours? It looks perfect
This one is an Oztrail.
Amazing tent brand - sets up in no time!
@@rikusvanwyk4624 Thanks Rikus, which model? I can't find a similar looking one on any of the websites!
Great video! Heading to Mkuze next week and very excited to experience it. Hopefully the electricity will be back 😂

That’s great news, as long as there’s ice for a cold sundowner!
Will be camping at emshopi as well. Thanks for the great video guys!

On the Thumbnail it looks like Rikus dyed his hair 😁
