Honestly it's fair. I think it is very interesting how many people say "but her parents support it!" but her parents can't control every aspect of her life. Not only that, but it's a job. She's also *just* barely 13, she literally just graduated ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. She looks like a child, because she *is* a child. Yes, she is talented. Yes, she wants to do this. But if a child wants to drive a car, do we let them? No, because it isn't safe. Just like what is needed for industries in other countries like the US for better protection for kids in areas such as acting and children groups (there have been several cases in the US where there have been children's groups or youtube channels how even with parental supervision and a strong desire from the children, abuse *still* happened) to simply prevent these children from getting jobs, period. Having worked a job at a young age, at age 13 before you're supposed to, it really is damaging. Even if it is something simple, it is too much stress for a young child, even if it *is* their dream or desire. Seriously, the reaction is valid. IMO, nobody should be debuting until they're *at least* 16, the same age where they can have a job, simply because of developmental maturity. And on top of that, companies need to be held accountable to keep safe places for these artists, and especially their trainees since inevitably they'll also be younger. There should also, overall, and quite unachievable unfortunately, just be better monitoring on the internet to eliminate or minimize hate and perverts, just in general for protection of like, literally everyone, but especially minors. That's all. She's literally a child. Super talented, but rn she should be focusing on going to school and playing with friends, not learning intense choreography and sleeping between busy schedules.

i stg, they will debut a 8 year old and we'll still have people posting "She's such an all-kill! I can tell she's gonna be the new it girl, visuals are insane! Support our queens, road to #1! ❤☺☺" Fucking gross
I’m on surprise because 13. She really shouldn’t be debating as an idol and for people saying she was a trot singer before she was an idol so her and her parents understand you guys do understand that the demography for trot singer in Korea and Asia is very very different than the demography for idols Not dealing with the crazy obsessive fans, the immature fans, and phantoms, they’re not dealing with the overwhelming pressure to be like the absolute perfect epitome best at what they’re doing, they also do not have to deal with the intense scheduling that idles do, especially with touring and all of that jazz. That’s not even talking about how much more companies will exploit a child as idles than they would in other areas of the entertainment industry. Are we forgetting about the fact that we’ve had 14 and year-old debut in the past second General who have all come out and talked about how they wish the adults around them didn’t let them debut early. Taemin exploited and sexualized at a really young age, and it made him feel uncomfortable. Hyuna Questionable about this she goes backwards from her age talking about she was 25 to 17 to 14 and the entire song of the lyrics even if you look at the English translations because you don’t speak, Korean is her literally talking about how they exploited her how they made her things they want her to the outfits that she’s wearing was reminiscing of outfits that they legitimately had a 15-year-old her wearing. IU having talked about her eating disorder that she got after she was bullied by the general public and people because she had a great voice, but she was too fat. In their opinion they thought she was too chubby. She was fucking 15. It let her having to deal with having bulimia for years, and it took years before she opened up about it and talked about how she was still recovering from it. Boa and Hyori both sat there and were an interview literally like a year or two ago, where they both talked about they wish that there were adults around to tell them that they could wait to make their debut that they didn’t have to do it so young and as children because yes, they were popular and they were successful, but it came at a price. Even idol nowadays have talked about how it’s made it hard NCT Jisung used to always talk about how he was very socially awkward, and it made it harder for him to interact with people his own aid, and he even make friends for the longest. The only friends he had were his members because he didn’t know how to interact with people because he didn’t have time to go to school because he was when he was in middle school. He didn’t even go to high school talking about the other NCT members who never even graduated from middle school, it took them years before they even got to the point to taking test so they can graduate from middle school and high school, but even then they weren’t actually going to a physical school meeting that they didn’t get that interaction that comes from going to school that’s why children go to school not because you have to just learn the basics of like math and history and stuff but because it exposes you how to interact with humans that’s how you get human interactions that’s how people learn social cues and stuff from actually having to interact with other humans. Like these are people you can make memories with especially young teen idols have talked about not being able to do and not having time to do. That’s not even on the fact that there have been multiple child’s psychiatrist in South Korea and internationally have talked about the damage of debuting such young people in the entertainment industry and why needs to stop especially in Asia. I remember I think it was like right after right before NewJeans had debut that there were news Sites and articles on the news in South Korea. There were psychiatrist who dealt with talking about why young kids, especially under the ages of like 16 should not be debuting as idol because of things that they’re still learning how to do and deal with from emotional control to how easily Influence, they can be all these things that will lead to when they’re older, self-esteem issues, confidence issues, body issues, etc. Even professionals have been against this for years yet people still do not listen to them. I’m surprised she debuted because of this year fact that when. PSY debut 12/13 in his group. The fans were not having it not even just fans of the group fans of K-pop in general. They legitimately complained to that company and believe that man until he pulled that kid out and he didn’t debut said they said they’re gonna wait for him to be older. Not to mention the issues that South Korea has been having just in this past year alone with illegal AI images and videos of female idols, especially the young female idols. Like they’ve been articles about that everywhere cause there’s so many disgusting videos, and AI generated images of these underage girls or barely legal women skate dress, or doing acts that they would never be doing going around on the Internet about over there being shared that’s not even talking about the creepy that people still be making a female idol even the minors whether we’re talking about the weird oneslegit slow Mo dance moves all these young girls dancing so that they can get the best images like it’s really fucking creepy and y’all keep pretending like that doesn’t happen in that country.
Im ngl idols are getting so young i think they don’t even have enough years under their belt to be an idol. Wont be surprised when a 10 yr old debuts. Like i feel like they’re aren’t even capable of making the decision to be an idol under 14 or 16.
Oof....i miss the old kpop were kpop idols werent debuting this age....,i absolutely reacted like this as well...sorry but its just not right for her and the other young idols to debut....they should wait a few more years till they are 16+
These kids may be young but they make their own decisions. U cant stop a child or teenager from doing what they want. If this is their dream they will definitely keep at it no matter what their parents say. If their parents cant stop them idk what makes yall think u can stop it. If u dont like it just dont stan a group wit a minor
Also people forget that parents exploit their children all the time so I also don’t understand where people are coming from being like oh but she has consent from her parents to do this. Or saying her parents allowed her to do this so we shouldn’t be upset about it. Are we forgetting about all the celebrities that we’ve seen over the years whether we’re talking western or not Who had to become celebrities to take care of their families to help out with their parents who were in financial issues and stuff. Are we forgetting about the fact just recently and I’m not naming names because him and his brother don’t deserve that and idol and his brother both of them are debuted they’re in idol group actively promoting currently at this moment, making money comeback, and going on tour. Their mother was arrested for committing fraud, using the name of her sons and their groups. These are two male idol who talked about moving to Korea after getting scouted at young ages they thought about wanting to do singing or pursuing that career, but they weren’t serious about it because they were in like middle school and they were scouted and their parent their parental figure signed them up for said sure go ahead and then turned around after getting both of her children to become K-pop idols to then commit fraud against people for over I think Half $1 million always the best when it comes to their kids because why the hell would you sit there and have your kids pursue that and then turn around to use them in their fame to trick people out of a shit ton of money as if you’re not receiving money. Adults their parents sometimes are the greedy motherfuckers around these children. They would rather use their own kids to make money then to go out and make it themselves.
The age is not a big deal. There are already many kpop debuted very young and haters over react with the age But they support the minions with the same faces and same voices while watching Game of Thrones. Kpop now a days are for young teenages, accept that. This Content is fishy and Revealing Hypocrisy
Fr. Idols only have a few years of their prime ages til they get to “old age”. Let the kids live their dream lives. Im sure any of us normal people would do everything to live our dream job
You are a kpop fan, you already know the danger and those disadvantages for kids debuting in the industry. I don't mean that you we will not support these kids considering they're very talented compared to other idols who only have the visuals but its just not their time yet to be in there and its also not their fault but the entertainment industry. Also, the industry isnt really helpful with their mental growth, so as fans we also just have to be less toxic.
Obviously I’m not hating on anyone at all or pointing this to any specific person or group but I think companies should only debut people older than 16-17 which is still young but the fact that there are idols that aren’t even teens is a bit well concerning(just my opinion no hate)❤

Whats the point of going to school when her dream is to be an idol and shes been in the industry since she was 7? The whole essay you wrote applies only to aspiring TRAINEES. Shes been on TV and as solo singer since 7 dude. She grew up in the industry. She got more experience than some 4th gen idols. Schools are only for office/9-5 day job workers. Even the most revolutionary humans, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuck all quit school to pursue their dreams. Sorry, youre right about all that but Seowon is a special case exception.
@@iambarryallenthe fact that she has more experience than the rest does not make the situation better. In fact it’s the complete opposite, if it’s already bad for them to debut at 13 then imagine at 7!!! @aleah8577 bruh korea and US is not the same country its their choice not us so what wrong with her debuting at the age of 13 plus why would she want to ride a car on her own when they have their own security guard that can drive for them and guard them while they are going out...

She super talented but so so young I will always be against debuting idols that young
Taemin debuted at 14 and is against it
I’ve always been in dance and singing lessons but I can’t imagine being an idol now let alone at her age. It’s really not an industry safe for kids no matter how much people defend it.

i stg, they will debut a 8 year old and we'll still have people posting "She's such an all-kill! I can tell she's gonna be the new it girl, visuals are insane! Support our queens, road to #1! ❤☺☺"
Fucking gross
I’m on surprise because 13. She really shouldn’t be debating as an idol and for people saying she was a trot singer before she was an idol so her and her parents understand you guys do understand that the demography for trot singer in Korea and Asia is very very different than the demography for idols
Not dealing with the crazy obsessive fans, the immature fans, and phantoms, they’re not dealing with the overwhelming pressure to be like the absolute perfect epitome best at what they’re doing, they also do not have to deal with the intense scheduling that idles do, especially with touring and all of that jazz.

Graduating from elementary school?!?! thats so craxyyyy.
Im ngl idols are getting so young i think they don’t even have enough years under their belt to be an idol. Wont be surprised when a 10 yr old debuts. Like i feel like they’re aren’t even capable of making the decision to be an idol under 14 or 16.
Oof....i miss the old kpop were kpop idols werent debuting this age....,i absolutely reacted like this as well...sorry but its just not right for her and the other young idols to debut....they should wait a few more years till they are 16+
im 13 too my secondary school just started a month ago and shes already an idol 😭😭
She is just 9 months older than me the same year 20211 😮😮😮
These kids may be young but they make their own decisions. U cant stop a child or teenager from doing what they want. If this is their dream they will definitely keep at it no matter what their parents say. If their parents cant stop them idk what makes yall think u can stop it. If u dont like it just dont stan a group wit a minor
I wouldnt be suprised (im older than her and im 13 😭)
I know some people won't believe me but I was also born in 2011 and she is just 4 days older than me
the fact that she only just finished elementary school is wild...
12yo idols should be normalized to make most of their teen years as idol.
"graduated from elementary school" 😭
I was born in 2012 im one year younger than her
She's a year younger than me😮
Also people forget that parents exploit their children all the time so I also don’t understand where people are coming from being like oh but she has consent from her parents to do this.

Im older than her and doing nothing while miss girl is a freaking K-pop idol what the-
there are idols younger than me now?😭
This would be shock but i am younger than her…..
The age is not a big deal. There are already many kpop debuted very young and haters over react with the age But they support the minions with the same faces and same voices while watching Game of Thrones. Kpop now a days are for young teenages, accept that. This Content is fishy and Revealing Hypocrisy
Seowon's vocal alone can eat those minions who can't even belt
Fr. Idols only have a few years of their prime ages til they get to “old age”. Let the kids live their dream lives. Im sure any of us normal people would do everything to live our dream job
You are a kpop fan, you already know the danger and those disadvantages for kids debuting in the industry. Even those very famous idols from the older gen who debut around same age as seowon like Taemin which he said he regret debuting at a young age. I don't mean that you we will not support these kids considering they're very talented compared to other idols who only have the visuals but its just not their time yet to be in there and its also not their fault but the entertainment industry. Also, the industry isnt really helpful with their mental growth, so as fans we also just have to be less toxic.
Gurl im the same age as her but older
I'm frikin 13...
Obviously I’m not hating on anyone at all or pointing this to any specific person or group but I think companies should only debut people older than 16-17 which is still young but the fact that there are idols that aren’t even teens is a bit well concerning(just my opinion no hate)❤
please we're the same age wtf is she doing in that toxic industry. I'm afraid her life will get ruined at such a young age :( but I'm wishing her the best of luck!

Puppets? I don't think so. Their group actually received a princess treatment from their company. Basically Unis are spoiled by their company. Ermm....... her life was living like a bird in a cage if only they forced her to be an idol , she wanted to be an idol so that why she took a part in survival show and now she is happy , you were also right if she was forced
She's one of the member with the most experience in the industry after their leader. She used to be a soloist trot singer.
