The bridge is pretty much a standard vintage style Telecaster bridge. If that is your main complaint against this guitar then anybody looking a for Tele copy with these features would be very happy. Love the channel, keep up the good work.
Michael Kelly has been making really good stuff in the past couple years. My patriot instinct is probably my favorite overall guitar, and is not even close to my most expensive!
yeah honestly I like my patriot better than my 1300 dollar schecter c1 apocalypse and also tried a buddies gibson les paul and felt extremely undwhelmed because my michael kelly just felt and looked so much better really love it
I bought the plain burl during the lockdown. Got it for 499.00. I really like it. I do professional setups so I gave this one a perfect setup with leveled and polished frets. It really sounds sweet now. It is a great t style for a good price.
From Leo: Nice version of a Telecaster, good presentation. That 4 way switch modification is exactly what brings modern flexibility to the great old guitar. I have that modification on two of them. In this day, there is no reason that they all do not come standard with a 4 way. You keep everything traditional and you gain a beefy output when needed. I welcome the flatter fretboard also.
I bought the natural burl as well. I got the open box for $359...not a blemish on it. Mine came with a roasted maple neck, too. An unbelievably fine instrument, and not just for the price range. Like Hunter, my tuning machines were hit and miss unfortunately. There were a couple that slipped. I swapped in some black Grovers and all is well.
I love the ashtray style Tele bridges. They give the bridge pickup a raw twang than the modern bridges just don't deliver, especially if it's a stamped steel plate as opposed to some of them being cast brass. I'm actually in the process of putting together a metallic purple Tele and just received a Fender stamped steel plate for it. Gonna hang a Tele-sized rail humbucker off it for something different.
Love your content but I was wondering if you would ever demo a headless guitar, especially the Strandberg Boden Classic 6 string? Also for the giggles if you could make your own signature guitar, what company would you go with and what are some of the specs you would have?

I have one on my blonde Partscaster Tele and I do like it compared to a more modern (and cheaper quality) Squire on my Mirrorgaurd Telecaster. There are so many different styles of Tele bridges its an easy swap. Nice non tradition MK Tele!
I have a MK 57 Amber burst Tele. And it is my #1 guitar to play out of the others I have. I just love the way the neck feels. No it is deffenetly not a chicken pickin type of Tele. But man it kicks ass.

I thought it was for sure mismarked at $150, so i picked it up and took it home to find out it was made for the guitar player of the red chord. I really wish i never sold it. Now they seem to be getting bigger
Hello ! it's a very awesome telecaster guitar ,it's a good idea to make a fourth position to make Humbucker sound ,on all strat i have ,i make this modification (7 sounds with only one switch or push pull pot with 6 connections ! ) ,and for now i don't make it on my telecaster ,but when i listen your video ,i make this modification on it ! thanks for the video ,take care.
If you've played a vintage/reissue Tele, or a Squier Classic Vibe, that's what you can expect. I have zero issues with mine. I've had a 52 reissue for years so the MK burl 50 feels right at home to me.

@@patrickbuster3475 yeah! The pick-up combo sounds amazing, I also put in a switch craft I put jack, fender pickups selector, CTS pots, and copper insulation in the electronics cover (the cobra has an insane output). The tuners aren't very good on this guitar though lol
Picked one of these up today on sale at Sam Ash for $365. I'm impressed with the sound and the looks! Love the compound radius fretboard. Pickups can do any genre including metal. The bridge pickup has that tele spank, but it's not your daddy's tele! Mine has a slight buzz on the low E string, but it doesn't come through the amp. I may try raising it a little. No problems with the tuners, mine stays in tune. I'm impressed! Great guitar as is and great for if you want to consider any mods.
I don't know why, but I don't love it. Too dark sounding.. Very unlike the usual Tele "Bell tone". Maybe that's it. Oh well, I'm in love with enough guitars as it is. lol
Good question.. But Ive owned a few Marshalls, and Ive never met one that I didnt like. lol ..I still have a Marshall 4x12. I think it must be the pickups. I'm not a Michael Kelly hater.
