Defend the Maus:
Each team receives a Maus, they must knockout the opposing team’s Maus while also defending their own. Heavy tanks and vehicles produced after 1945 are prohibited.

scrap the max br 6.7 thing, they only get to use bt 7s lmao. In all seriousness, 6.7 is a bit high since heatfs can one shot a maus.
I would say they can only use vehicles actually produced by 1945

I think the first mistake the Apache pilot in the first round made was using an early model Apache. I don't know about the American Apaches, but the British one at 11.3 has an Air to Air radar that, paired with AAMs, would have made a 5v1 trivial. That they went in without it was a serious blunder.
Kinda surprised to not see a Tiger UHT in the 2nd round. I know it doesn't have any guns, but the PARS 3 should be decently effective against helicopters.

Ngl the first apache pilot did nit play that smart at all. Longer range missles and didn't use them one bit. Why stay low and close when you have every advantage but go into thier advantage. Was probably the worst thing he coulda done.
I tried to get up high but I couldn't get enough lift. The problem was the mountains gave them a chance to get closer before I got line of sight.
he was also using a yah64 (even though muffin said ah64d w/ stingers), i'd assume it's someone who just bought it without knowing anything lol
@@navycaty9314 no, I worked hard for that chopper. I have just enough of a life that I can grind the YAH but not the regular Apache.
It would have been cool to see an Mi-28 in this. I wonder how its extremely armored cockpit would hold up.
Mi-28 isn’t as beautiful as Ka-52.

The big issue here is, the high tier would not have been flying so high in a real scenario due to fast movers, and SAM/AA. They would have been down low, where the older platforms had a more even chance.
You need to do it over again, but set a hard top of 150m max with 0 hard deck.
or maybe have a engagement range for suspended weapons. brings everyone closer together.
...in a real scenario? What real scenario would any nation be fielding AH-1Gs against Apaches? Further more, if such a scenario were to happen how would the nation that can only muster AH-1Gs have any ability to contest the air space against the nation with Apaches? If anything the only real air defense the low tier team would have is MANPADS, which would just mean the high tier team should ONLY operate at high altitudes.
@@commandoepsilon4664 No helo attack, in the HISTORY of them, has come from high altitude. That is just not how they are used. That was the point.
The high tier using altitude gave them an advantage that combat doctrine would not have given them.
This ain't airwolf or blue thunder we are talking about here. Just basic, real world doctrine that has been in place since the Korean war, for all the major powers (NATO/COMBLOCK/Etc..)
@@obiesunstreak2409 I'm no doctrine expert, but I highly doubt it is doctrine to use helicopters to fight helicopters, so an argument based around doctrine seems silly in this context where, if they followed doctrine both parties would likely just not have been dispatched until the airspace was secured by other assets specifically designated to clear the airspace.
My point is the scenario is so unrealistic to begin with saying they did it wrong because realism is a bit daft.

the ah64d in the first round was a YAH-64, AH64D has a cheesewheel radar on top.
Thought the player with the top tier had to be experienced too lol? Made it really hard for themselves playing tight to a hill

Fun fact the Ah-64 is from 1986 meaning a lot of the modern aircraft are in reality late 80's era helicopters. VS helicopters that came before.

One video I would love to see Is a ww1 type air battle video. Where participants on both sides, use biplanes from the interwar period against each other with only default ammo. The best biplane in the game for this kind of battle, would probably be the swordfish because it's the most ww1 looking biplane in the game :)

that first apache pilot should have just went in the open at that point because he would have had better chances of finding the enemy before they found him, he played his heli to the enemy's advantage and limited himself. He brought missiles and didnt even use them

AH-1 with starstreaks is a bonafide heli and AA killer.

There could really be a Z-10 to end the entire game, its akd10s are relatively effective against helicopters and the heli is extremely nimble
