I’ve played at church with about 8 of your songs. This tutorials are awesome and so easy to learn and understand. Thanks Sam for posting these tutorials for worship drummers so we can worship God.
Nice work Sam as a worship drummer who has struggled learning songs for Sunday morning I can really appreciate these simplified drum parts. They work great! As a drummer, I have always strived to play fewer notes. " The less you play, the more they hear." Keep up the good work. God bless you brother.
This video has massively helped my son and I in our respective bands playing this song at church. Was really struggling to keep in time when playing the original, more complicated groove, and this simplified version sounds so good and yet is so much easier to play consistently while still keeping those cool moments that make it a great tune! Love what you're doing Sam! Blessifications!
Just found your channel. I can’t tell you how helpful your tutorial is on this song the rest of TH-cam seems to only cater to people who have this stuff figured out at the master level. You just made this song so accessible for me. Really appreciate your service for the Lord. Keep up the great work, man.
Good for you Johnny. Go for it, drums are the easiest instrument to learn in my opinion (Drummer of 30+ yrs). They are also by far one of the most fun I find, to play.
It’s been over 20 years since I’ve played drums, but recently the church I attend needed a drummer and I’ve felt led to get back into the groove. As you could imagine, given my extensive hiatus from playing the drums, I’m not up to speed on a lot of the contemporary Christian worship music drum beats. So these videos have been invaluable to me and the worship team! I thank you and can safely say that I do love you brother! Be well, Jeremy.
Great to hear from you Jeremy! I can imagine it being a bit of effort getting up to speed with it all - well done you for putting in the effort! Thanks mate - I'm feeling the love :D
This is such good a good channel! Sometimes songs get thrown out last minute and you don’t have time to learn it all, simple breakdowns like this take the pressure off so you can focus on worship. I make notes on my music sheets then have fun from there.

As a new drummer even at the ripe old age of 50 and beyond this has been so helpful and really inspires you to learn especially with all the benefits of the full package. Thank you Sam really appreciate it.
Great to hear from you Paul! I love hearing that there are so many 50+ year olds really putting time and effort in to worship drumming! It's sooooo cool!
Thanks man, as a drummer who is going to start playing in my church's worship team, and also someone who isn't necessarily up to scratch with the complexity of modern Christian music, these more simple formats are very helpful, cheers!
Your tutorial are great. I am a beginner church drummer so it just helps me so much. Your You tutorials are normally enough but I will buy the packaged just to support you. Keep going....
Love how you've got the notation as well, it's great to follow along. I just started learning this song so yeah it's got a pretty complex rhythm so as a drummer I just have to naturally start simple to learn the basic rhythm and move on from there as my audition for this song is coming up in AUG. A simplistic version is definitely helpful. Thank you, you're awesome!
@@InSyncDrums totally nailed it! I was added to the schedule & the director was impressed with my overall preparedness. I start with the church on OCT 13
Great videos. I play in a more reserved congregation church. We currently have 3 piece band with drums, keyboard, and guitar. So simple drums works well for this situation.
Thank you so much for this video bro, it really help me so much as a church drummer. Hope you not get tired making this kind of video, God bless you more and your family. Hope you can also make a drum tutorial of when I say your name simple drum by victory worship

Yep. You've done it again -- coming up super CLUTCH for drummers like me! Thanks so much! PS I know it's an older song, but is there any chance that Raise a Hallelujah could get put on the list for the future tutorial? Asking for a friend (who looks just like me and answers to my name).
Hey brother I got some tragic news. I grabbed a circular saw blade 13 days ago today. I got all my key fingers. Pointer, middle & ring. I had to have emergency hand reconstructive surgery. I've been blessed already to have the best Ortho in town when I ran in the ER. But I was just pokin around everybody's YT channels for some good ideas playing one handed. I've done it before but it's really a challenge. It's really hard on the balance having to play like that too. I plan on getting back with the worship team this week if my surgeon allows it. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. God is good all the time and I know he's going to heal me in a way that is going to make these doctors heads spin ! 😇
Hey Kelly my bro! Sorry to hear mate! I don't assume you meant to do that... Playing one handed is a tough one - you've just got to be okay with leaving out a few things... Praying for crazy miraculous recovery!
Anyone have a suggestion on how to transition the down beat (kick drum) to the clapping beat and the to turn it back around? I’m struggling big time with this!
Hey there! which part of the song exactly? Honestly by biggest tip no matter what is... Slow it down Count while playing Zoom into the problem area/transition and just work on it on repeat Granted this doesn't work for everyone...
