The reason why Angel “snapped” at Charlie was so she wouldn’t get hurt by Val. He was looking after her safety, he doesn’t show it but he really cares about her.
I think it’s possible that’s what val wanted angel to think cause as stupid as Val can be when angry. He knows that when all things settle down, you don’t fuck with the king’s princess. So he basically used angel as his long stick to shoo away charlie to avoid getting in a deep problem himself.
Ironically Charlie would absolutely destroy val 😂😂😂

Actually, even though it makes sense for Val to be cautious around Charlie given her status, it's also a reflection of how domestic abusers function in real life. Sometimes an abusive spouse will act kind and sweet to their victim's family/friends and beat their partner behind closed doors for things the family/friends did. Same goes for abusive parents, if a concerned teacher starts asking questions, they'll punish their kid for the teacher's involvement.
Ep 4 was a good message not to suffer alone open up to others if you’re getting abuse and became so wholesome with the growth of Husk & Angels friendship

dude angels character really shows how he deals with his situation and i think episode 4 really showed what Hazbin Hotel is capable of. AMAZING START
also the song at episode 3 in the overlord meeting. i think the social media V is the daughter of the arm seller lord. if you notice the have the same eyes same like the other 2 daughters and she has her hair also white in parts and the same black skin as one of the other daughters. and the same vampire fangs as the mother. so I would not be surprized if she actually tried to save her but the idiot daughter didn't notice.
@@lucaskp16 As far as is known, Velvet is one of the newest overlords, arriving in the 2000s. And Camilla (I think her name was) is one of the oldest overlords, much older than Alastor. So I doubt they are mother-daughter, the sinners cannot reproduce.
I think her two "daughters" were either her daughters in life, or she adopted them.
I Love how at the start in "loser, baby" angel was like " >:[" and later he was great singing with husk, and the fact that husk was a Overlord before just caught me like "😃😀🙂😐😑😮😲😱"

Charlie and Vaggie are actually a cannon couple. And of the sweetest I've seen in animation. Also, episode 4 was such a tearjerker. As bad as Angel Dust is, he deserves so much better. I'm sure it'll only get more emotional from here.

The cool thing is, Angel was completely right: BDSM is a beautiful display of trust and care. It takes a lot of trust to let someone have that much power over you, AND the fact that at any time you should be able to call off a scene. It's really sweet, just in a spicy way 😅

I fucking love Velvette. If you noticed, out of all the other Overlords, she is smaller and her design is less imposing than the rest.
And yet, she commanded the attention of the Overlords. I'm not sure it was intended, but when she got on the top of the table, she was above the others, and her body language was of someone who didn't care.
This was a room full of people more powerful people then her, and yet, she was still above them. At the end, Carmella tried to be above Velvette, and yet she still seemed much smaller then her.
she is the 'backbone' after all
I feel bad for Angel Dust. His situation is almost the same as Fizzarolli's relationship with Mammon on Helluva Boss Season 2 Episode 7.

To be fair, if Valentino ever hurt Charlie, wouldn't Lucifer basically kill him in the worst way?
I actually get the feeling that Lucifer is actually a bit of a pushover if the leaks of episode 5 are any indication. The lore drop in episode 1 seems to suggest that Lucifer's condemnation to Hell and having to be surrounded by all the worst examples of humanity's abuse of the free will he tried to grant them basically broke him, so while he may be absurdly powerful as a Fallen Angel... he lacks the will or the drive to really use that power. He's an absentee king who does not bother to really rule over the realm he has. Lilith is stated to have 'worn the pants' in their relationship, and Lilith specifically thrived in Hell (which actually provides some hints that Lilith may not be a very good person in truth...), while even in Hell Lucifer is still an angel and a broken idealist and jaded dreamer. In many ways he's basically like Charlie but with his idealism crushed and now he's just kind of going through the motions.
@@DelightfullyMADD Well with Episode 5 being out, I am pretty sure Lucifer would murder the fuck out of Valentino or anyone else that actually hurts Charlie. He makes it pretty clear in his song that he thinks Charlie is the only one worth fighting for. You got the rest of it right though, he confirms itself that he tried what Charlie is trying to do before and his dreams got crushed by Heaven and seeing the worst of humans in Hell.
I really like what they did with him, people were expecting him to be a asshole for a longtime but he really is just a bumbling dad that is very similar to his daughter and is just scared of her getting hurt like he did.
What makes me laugh is that while Vaggie was throwing Angel and Pantius off the roof, Husk decided to quietly leave
y’know what’s so cool about this episode? is that Charlie would do anything for her friends. when Valentino was talking smack about Angel, Charlie immediately jumps in and literally tried to kill Val. I whispered “KILL HIM” as quite but loud as I could when I saw that, but ofc Angel sadly interferes.
so, my headcanon theory is that Val would push Angel and Charlie’s buttons SO HARD, making them both agree to kill this man. or even worse, make him suffer for the rest of his life. that would be a great representation of showing why Charlie is a princess.

I love the idea angel was protecting Charlie. But angel is clearly had no idea how powerful charlie is. Angel doesn't even know alastor, no doubt to charlie power. Like what the heck men, even if you combine all of the overlords once charlie really snapped. There's nothing you can do.
Episode 4 made me cry, this show is so good! -chance
It’s not just the porn industry. It’s the acting industry in general. Hollywood and stuff ain’t all glitz and glamour, there are so many sleazes and villains in the line of work. Valentino is just one example.
First of all, Charlie during that trust fall was so freakin adorable. Why is she the most precious princess actually. Second, she was about to fuck Val's ass up if Angel didn't stop her

I still can’t get over that poison scene. I knew what to expect due to addiction but my gosh it blew me away that scene. The art, song, the voice acting. The scene val hurts angel. I was angry lol.

in the visuals it also looks like Al won against Husk, possibly Husk dealed/betted his own soul and lost

If alastor calls him ancient, that means he’s one of the overlords, probably besides carmilla who didn’t get toppled by Alastor (they may be on about the same level currently. But even back then Al was the stated to be just around the most powerful sinner.)
Given that he uses terms like "thine" and "thou", he's at absolute least been in hell for 300+ years. Possibly a lot longer than that

I could not imagine that if Husk/Angel/Al ever let that slip, that Charlie would not address it.
Also - Who is with me, in just KNOWING that before the season is over, we will catch Charlie going full apeshit on someone! I am all for it!
Charlie already knows Alastor and what she does, she knows that Husk and Nifty are both contractually tied to him.

@@roxycauldwell544 I disagree. To Charlie Nifty has a strong allegiance to Al. For all we know that's the end all be all of their relationship.
Nothing alludes to her specifically being under contract. She is very jovial and actually likes cleaning.
Husk to the staff and to us, until it was revealed, just appeared to be Al dicking' around for laughs by dragging him there and asking for a favor via his VAGUE history with him and cheap booze.
I severely doubt they know.
@thatdudemoe9109 I guess I see what you mean. Realistically though, in the pilot Al zaps Husker out of nowhere and he clearly doesn't want to be there. How could you zap someone out of nowhere unless you had power over them, with Vaggie telling the story that Al's whole deal is.....well, deals.
Pilot Nifty it was hard to tell but show Nifty, you're right that it seems like she's insane enough to follow Alastor wherever he goes willingly.
The show revealed Husk's situation, I guess we'll just have to wait for hers!

The zapping appears to simply be Alastors power. Not necessarily unique to only him, but clearly it's a power and not derivative of any contract.

He isn't a wendigo, just a serial killer sinner. He is associated with deers because his death involved being mistaken for a deer and shot while he was burying one of his victims. The sinner demons take on unique forms based on their past lives and how they died.

I noticed something Valentino and angel dusts contract was signed with the name Anthony angel dusts human name? And also with a heart? Maybe they knew each other when they were humans and they were lovers cause if angel signed it with a heart he was probably not forced
Alastor and Angel were born and lived at the same time, Valentino went to Hell in the 70s, while the porn industry was developing. When Alastor and Angel died in their 30s, Valentino was probably a child.
