- Martin Kirby and Maggie Whitman are embarking on a new life in Spain by purchasing a 9-acre farm, leaving behind their urban lifestyle and jobs. Despite lacking farming experience and fluency in the local language, they are determined to make a success of their venture. The farm, named "El Deamar," includes an olive grove, vineyard, and various fruit trees, presenting both opportunities and challenges for the couple. Martin is writing a book about their journey to supplement their income, while Maggie focuses on cultivating the land and managing household tasks. With perseverance and adaptation to their new environment, they aim to sustain themselves through farming and potential book royalties, despite initial financial constraints.

14:13 She gets to spend quality time with her parents! There's not a child out there who wouldn't want that, at her age❤❤❤
I'd buy the book. I think that is a beautiful, admirable, and adventurous new life they are embarking on. Team Martin, Maggie & Fam! ❤😊
Great documentary. I would love to see an update.
I enjoyed watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲 . This is so encouraging. May your farm grow more prosperous each year.
Absolutely beautiful, lovely family and community
A delightful and happy story of their new journey in life!!! 🌷😁👍🥳🥳🥳
Love this. We live in the Southern Hemisphere now and I love seeing Europe basking in good fortune. It is a beautifully paced programme with real people, real life and sweetness that makes for great viewing for us. Thank you.
Issue is often times country folk dont accept people that do not look like them. So yeah its an option for many but not for all.
I found Martin's book on Amazon. It's getting good reviews too.
It is an amazing life style. they are dependent on themselves.
Wish you guys the best
They should have worked on a similar, Spanish farm first (they may have to pay for the privilege) before buying the farm. Learning the culture as well as the language is essential to fitting in!
Ella is living the life, most children can only dream of.
