This advert and others were created at a time when there were no consoles or internet or tv channels dedicated to childrens entertainment..Kids would actually leave the house to play.Long adventures during the summer holidays up the woods or by rivers and canals.Much simpler times and i miss them :(

You're lucky. As a kid I had to see his awful variety shows as Mother liked him. She never did have good judgement.
