I graduated here, and they were some great years. My wife did, as well. (Late 2000s-mid 2010s) I hope it stays great for years to come, and focuses on quality education. That is very important to Alumni. Congrats Class of 2022

I’m an out of state, purely online, returning student going to UNT. Havnt started yet but I can tell that the staff/atmosphere is ALL about making sure students succeed and thrive. Other universities I’ve experienced, including university of Michigan, have NOT had this type of feeling. I hope one day I can see the campus in person. I looked at the alumni list and was blown away by some of the names who went there. I may not be Texan, but I am now!
One question…can you explain the claw to me? Do people wave at each other with the claw, or do they just hold it up to greet?

The facilities look ultra modern and high end. Campus surrounded by greenery is very impressive. The students and speakers look very encouraged by their college experience. Experienced Californian just checking out your school.

I’m an older adult, returning back to school to take care of unfinished business and UNT was the first to REALLY reach out and make sure I can take that step to get it accomplished. Fully online since I’m out of state, took in the most amount of credits by far compared to any other universities I was looking at, and the staff has been phenomenal in making me feel welcomed and prepared to succeed. I’ve had experiences at other institutions and I can say, by far, that UNT is the one who wants its students to succeed in studies and also in life. If I may put in one suggestion, it would be nice if there was some sort of department/group for older adults returning back school. Some do have unique concerns such as being too old, maybe doubts of being able to keep up with the younger students or knowledge/study methods they know compared to when we were in school, etc.

@@UofNorthTexas not sure how I missed the reply, but thank you for this link. An update to my original post…preparing to graduate in December with honors and going to attend in person. First time visiting campus and first time visiting Texas. I’m really looking forwards to exploring the campus and surrounding area. A reflection on my time at UNT for anyone else considering the university…I still stand by my comment of the school caring about you and your success. Many schools say this, but many don’t back it up. Without a doubt, every single professor and staff member at the University of North Texas has been nothing short of stellar in helping me to succeed my goals. I’m not getting paid to say this or I somehow have an affiliation with the school, I’m saying it because I mean it. The material that I’ve studied in various classes has been truly top notch and all of it has been extremely useful, no fluff or wasted time that I experienced. I’ll begin my Master’s program at UNT in January and I say that with pride. After my undergrad experience at the university, I wouldn’t hesitate one bit in recommending UNT to anyone who wants to further their education and careers. Thank you, UNT, for making positive changes in my life possible!
