    We got our 795 in November 2022. Great boat, high quality. A lot of useable space. We don’t have aircon but there is an option for additional batteries so it can be used away from shore power but it’s very expensive. We fitted solar which works great. Fridge works very well but we have a Kings 20 litre as a backup for overnighting. We fitted some marine carpet to the cockpit which is easier on the feet and keeps the white deck clean. The bow ladder is great for pulling up to a beach and is recommended. Have the interior curtains (essential to keep out the sun when moored) and carpet which is nice and keeps the noise down. We have a 225 Mercury which is quiet and has plenty of power. The head with shower works well but a little cramped but that’s expected on a boat this size. I’ve had some mesh screens made up for the sunroof, forward hatch and toilet windows for more ventilation using the curtains as a pattern. Still fitting it out and working out the best way to use all the storage. We don’t have the galley as we were were told it is too difficult and expensive to get it approved in Victoria. I also don’t like it being so close to the curtains so we saved over $2k and use a portable bottle camping stove and our rail BBQ. Once again a great boat - we were lucky to order before the price rises last year and at the moment it’s worth more than we paid for it due to long waiting lists, strong demand and the price increases.

    Nice idea having the curtain hanging directly above the cooker 😆

      You are right, on the 895 the curtain goes behind the lift-up benchtop.

    795's are now imported to the U.S. already fitted out for air con. Maybe now in Oz too? Thru-hulls (2), pump & strainer, ducting & registers, and a 2nd 30A AC external plug were all factory installed in the 795 we viewed last week. Makes installing air con FAR EASIER, less expensive, and for many owners, a do'able DIY project. Have you used a HelmMaster yet?

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I believe air con is a factory fitted now, but only for use on shore power (or genset). I have used a helmmaster but the cost for me to change over is stupid!! Would love to have it. Thanks Jack

    Hi, great reviews. I've watched a lot now. How hot do you find the cabin in summer when at anchor during the Australian summer in the 795 or 895 (series 1 or 2) thanks.

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I haven't anchored in the 795 but have a lot in our 895. We have two fans in the bow cabin and one in the mid cab. The cabins have a good amount of air movement in them and generally we can sleep through most night without trouble. Only the really hottest nights with high humidity are uncomfortable. Definitely need fans though.

      @Karijini-x6w 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TheRudder thanks for the reply. Are the fans hard to install later? I'm looking at second hand boats that don't have the fans installed. Also how much roughly does a bimini and side cost for the back?

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Karijini-x6w I didn't do the install but they aren't too hard. Just need to run the wires. The Bimini and storage covers were just under $5k aud. A bit more than I expected

    Congratulation. a nice video with some interesting features: I have a question: I am owner of a MerryFisher 795 S2 and saw the fishing extension on the left swim platform. Where can I get such a nice extra? It is the first time I see this feature! Thanks in advance for the answer!

      I think that was a fabrication from Shine Stainless Fabrication here on the Gold Coast.

    Thanks for your great videos guys, so informative 👍. I'm looking at a 795 series 1. Can they be adapted for a shower? It also has a 150hp outboard and I'm worried that might be a little underpowered? I'd be grateful to know your thoughts.

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Will, I'm really not sure about the shower but I'm sure you could do something, there are lots of caravan shower kits you just need 12v pump, change the tap with a shower head? I'm really talking without knowing much about it. From a quick look around the 150hp might be a bit underpowered. Can you go for a test cruise? Good luck

      @@TheRudderHi Damien. All noted, many thanks indeed for your reply. I'm not sure about a test cruise, I'd need to ask the broker.

    Hi, I would be interested in a comparison between the Merry Fisher and Antares models.

    Is it a gas or electric burner?

      Gas, the bottle is under the step on outside of the cabin.

    What would be the LPH cost with the 250hp on the back?

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  ปีที่แล้ว

      With twin 200hp at 24kn is about 60L per hour. The 895 isn't rated for twin 250, and I don't think it would perform very well with a single 250. Not sure if that helps.

    • @LeeMGTi
      @LeeMGTi ปีที่แล้ว

      Wondering what the Lph would be on this video with the 795 and a 250hp

    This is just a brilliant boat! I would probably like the non existing option with 2 motors, but everything else is just top notch here! Why do people pay much more for other boats, which offer less is an absolute unclear phenomenon for me...

    • @TheRudder
      @TheRudder  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm sure Jeanneau is happy for your vote of confidence. I don't know why they don't make a 2 motor version of the 795, would be popular with offshore fisherman.

    One more thing, the gas tank vent on port side is on the wrong place,you always smell gas fumes while laying in cockpit bad
