Update 2: Cleared it here with a more polished run and guide th-cam.com/video/gnkfTTu6pd4/w-d-xo.html Update: There are comments saying that I could've cleared if I didn't throw at Phase 2 by letting the train slam into me. First of all, it's not like I never tried focusing on the red reticle and destroying the missiles from previous attempts, I always tried that strategy before but it just doesn't work with underleveled Nikkes. The main issue is that, the missiles just keeps coming and I am not able to destroy all in time which leads to my Nikkes getting killed one by one. Once one of the main burst Nikke dies, it is pretty much game over but by allowing the train to slam into me, the missiles stop coming and also allows me to have a free DPS window. The shotgun turret attack it performs before it detaches from you can be easily blocked by the remaining shields your Nikkes have. Originally made just to help my friends in Nikke but hey, might as well make it a content. Hope it helps!
I see the problem now. What you don't realize is that after the cover is broken the missiles will often whiff if you're in cover, doing no damage. You can see it in your video at 3:24. You can take advantage of these instances by turning off auto attack and just not attacking with whoever is being targeted while the rest of your team continues to atk. You might have to eat a missile or two sometimes to break the circle but do that and you should make it to the end fine.
I cleared it and it does feels counterintuitive to shoot the missiles. Basically all those missiles may be hurt but its nothing compared to Alteisen slam. @@LisaraScarlet You didn't mention, but given that you guarded that attack with full party, and that the way it looks some people might think it gives some bonus def. When i started I myself wondered if it does.
@@LisaraScarlet Manual control with auto off lets you fine tune which Nikke to take cover. So if the missile is only coming at one Nikke, you only need to put that Nikke in cover (by taking active control over the Nikke and not shoot). The other 4 Nikke will continue to attack. By touching their portrait on the bottom, you put every Nikke into cover. Which in some cases is needed if a boss does a area wide sweep attack (aka The Digger Interception). Once the cover HP is all gone, there is no point in putting the Nikke into cover. As there is nothing left to protect the Nikke with. However, since you have Liter, if she heals back the Cover with some HP, then you can continue to make use of cover.
@wildhazz In this video, I did not have cover hotkey but I did have it on the 4m damage video. Auto-skills are simply prioritized from left to right. For example, you have Liter and Ludmilla in the same team. Your Liter is on first slot while Ludmilla is on third slot. Since Liter is on the left most slot, the AI will prioritize using Liter's Burst over Ludmilla.
Awesome video! One little reminder is that levels are fixed in ex stages. For instance, the level of this stage is fixed to always be 80 no matter if we're higher or lower than level 80. What really matters are the gears, affection levels, skill levels etc.
I got full kill earlier today witha team of Noise, Admi, Alice, Volume, Rapi, which is 1 RL, 2 SR, 1 AR and 1 SMG, so yes. Altho I was in high 70s when I got full kill, but getting to 3m shouldn't be hard.
You don't specifically need 2 ARs. Just make sure you have a screenwide nuke for the missiles and a hardcore single target main DPS for your burst IIIs.
The Problem with your guide is that it assumes you're playing on Emulator Landscape mode where you See every unit + the Green MIssile Turret. Also having OP units like Liter. i have Neither Good PC(For Emulator) nor OP Units like Liter.
Already did this on portrait mode th-cam.com/video/fNNvVKf59rE/w-d-xo.html Having no Liter isn't that much of a big deal, there are countless of players who used this strat w/o Liter and cleared it.
auto often make your team died instantly there's often the nikke won't shoot projectiles until it's too late and wipe out your team instead like that, i use the target burst skill to projectiles
yeah cuz unless they are not in your full burst you can't manually target all your nikkee's that'ys why you use characters that deals high damage like Scarlet, Privaty or any AR or Machinegun unit. The trick here is to just block and safely finish phase 1. Phase 2 you can hold out as much as possible to destroy and stop the train from slamming until you think you are safe enough to fully burst the boss without issues. The team here would be ideal is to have 2 burst III units that can use AOE burst damage, PRIVATY or Scarlet and others. as for the others. 2 supports to boost dmg and 1 SHOTGUN UNIT in the moment the boss slams to your character. cuz SHOTGuN deals extra damage on that range. cuz the boss is huge.
Damn, didn't know how much not having a proper dps was holding me back, I can barely make it to 1.5 mil with lvl 70+ (or maybe I'm just bad at the Game) Gotta hold out until I can get the free privaty I guess
Try Rapi, she isn't bad. Although, if you aren't willing to give her affection then yea, she probably wouldn't suffice. Affection bonuses are pretty big.
@@LisaraScarlet I'm doing the same, but in landscape it seems like you can target the first set of turrets a lot faster since you can aim a lot further right.
I always do my Wipe-Out before reset for max efficiency since it means I am sure that I have leveled my Outpost as much as I can, I also do 1 Wipe-Out refill using Crystals. Always check Shop for nikke exp, there are some really other good deals there so I reset Shop also once per day.
I just got 3.5mil just now with only drake and snow white as my dps. I know they're not the best but that's all i had, but drake is pretty good actually for bursting out the missile launcher, she also can out put so much dmg on the 2nd phase. The only annoying thing is i had to shoot the missile manually, thankfully i had ludmilla so i can just let 2 slip and focus on the boss back.
Privaty as you can see is in the 3rd slot while Brid is on the 4th slot. Since auto-skill priority is from left to right, the AI will always choose to use Privaty's Burst III first before Brid's.
@@LisaraScarlet unfortunately it's maintenance atm XD But iicr I got. (I can only describe some coz i forgor their names XD) Deezel Privaty Violin girl The... Sweaty? Girl XD Frost queen Dolla The police... Dog? XD Shotgun range extender I think those are all the SSRs that I can recall for now.

@@redcobra9588 There is leaderboards which is pretty P2W if you want to be in it. Though the rewards are meh, not sure if it will improve. So far, it's F2P friendly in a sense that you aren't really competing with anyone else for big rewards.
This is a good breakdown for the Choo Choo Boss fight. though i have some questions about it. 1. Can you use this strat with different team comps? since so far is more timing and mechanic wise rather than Character depended 2. How did you manage to make that resolution scale? 3. To destroy the missile early can characters like Harran and Scarlet destroy the missile? since their burst destroy everything on screen. Other than that welcome back dreamy
1.The most important part is being able to destroy the missile launcher before it shoots at least 4 missiles, so at least having an Assault Rifle or Minigun is almost mandatory. 2. Using LDPlayer and forcing a Landscape mode on the settings. 3. Yes, Scarlet and Harran can wipe missiles.
@@noskillnolife7555 I used lowest settings to get 60 FPS but it still drops whenever using bursts. More core/ram usually doesn't help since there is a limit to how much these two can help an emulator.
What's the purpose of auto-fire auto-skill? I thought those both took away your ability to use any character but you're still controlling someone so what's the difference to manual? If you're controlling one Nikke don't the rest auto fire regardless of auto mode on or off? Also do I need some kind of specific sub unit if I don't have Liter? I know she's a very strong support unit.
Auto-fire means your Nikke would start shooting early at a precise timing compared to manual, you can try this for yourself. Auto-skill as you can see is much more efficient at chain casting Nikke Bursts, if you can just let auto-skill do this, why not right? Ideal replacement for Liter is Volume but N102 could work if you really got nothing else. There is also Yan or Pepper but you definitely need to adjust your team setup.
@@zeracheil911 When the battle starts, your Nikke starts shooting as soon as it can which you can take over afterwards, this means more damage especially on the missile launcher. N102 is an SR so you most likely have her, you only need to pull if you hate the idea of using SRs.
1:59 You can still keep shooting here taking over manual control to keep building up DPS. Instead of just doing nothing. 3:20 You didn't mess up, you are suppose to stop the QTE (red circle) from completing. By doing that, you would deal massive damage to the boss. In otherwords, you could've killed the boss and earned the complete rewards. You are not going to beat it by ignoring the QTE and just DPSing the main body (unless you have whale upgrades on the characters).
I actually tried many times to keep hitting the red circle but I could not keep up with the insane amounts of missile that it launches and my team gets wiped earlier w/o being able to do much damage since I am focusing on the missiles trying to survive instead of hitting the boss itself. It is a lot harder with underleveled Nikkes.
@@LisaraScarlet The tactic is focusing on missile asap, then once the QTE shows up, divert firepower to it and stop it asap, then refocus on the missiles again. Ignore the main body. After a few QTEs the boss will be dead.
@@LisaraScarlet Do you have anyone else as a Burst-II, that can replace Belorta? RPG is too slow rate of fire for the train. Oh nevermind, you are using Poli. Then you can use somebody else with better rate of fire or buffer. Actually, you still need a secondary Burst-II, since Poli's burst is 40s CD. xD
@@goshtic9565 Again, I already tried focusing on missiles and the red circle only. I get wiped before I reach 3m damage, how hard is it to understand ... my Nikkes are underleveled and I'm not using overpowered Nikkes like Scarlet.
@@LisaraScarlet It's fine that you are having trouble taking out the missiles and have to resort to this type of tactic to earn some extra points. However, the 2nd part of the video is definitely the wrong way of "using game mechanics" - since the game mechanics is to actually stop the QTEs. You're not doing that. Had your video mentioned about it stating you have to resort to this tactic and left a note saying the proper mechanic is to stop the QTEs, then you've provided a proper guide for players watching this video on how to eventually defeat the train boss. However, people now going to look at this guide and struggle to only do below 4m damage, because they follow your advice to ignore the QTEs. Let the train slam into them and attack the main body... we're suppose to ignore the QTEs? Ah okay, got it. Guess I'll never be able to beat this train boss now, even if I have the DPS to take out the missiles or disable the QTEs.
i will give you my best tips to defeat boss first it is better to pause and replay if you fucked up because you dont using ticket and if you have guiltione it is better using she because his burst attack vs boss are insane
You're entering phase 2 too fast, and couldn't leech more damage from the 6 additional turrets that spawn after the first QTE. Doing correctly, when the train enter phase 2 it would only have 1 hp bar left around 70~90% hp.
@@goshtic9565 Not really, when a group of turrets/weapons on any bosses is destroyed, they takes extra portion damage to its HP. Doing it correctly you'd enter the next phase of any bosses with much lower hp than they should have had.
I don't know what else to say, I already mentioned that if you cannot kill the missile launcher before it launches 4 missiles or more, then you can just let your least impactful Nikke die from it. I don't see how the whole strategy only works for landscape. I already agreed that landscape has an advantage at shooting the missile launcher early but to say that this strategy only works for landscape is weird when you can pretty much do 99% of the strategy in portrait.
Any explanation why would that be the case? I know Ludmilla can taunt but she definitely cannot tank long enough. Having shields break early means you cannot take advantage of the shield gate which prevents HP from dropping before the shields on certain attacks.
Ludmilla is not useful for this boss run. Liter is the better choice (which he is already using). You don't need both with the "and" since they share the same Burst-I.
@@LisaraScarlet My LU when i finished rank 9: liter, centi, scarlet, drake, ludmilla in that order. I play semi auto, every time the boss throws missiles, I pop ludmilla's burst coz of taunt. It's easier to destroy missiles if it's only targeting one unit.
To me this is the most fun and intense mode it's actually super easy just hit the red circle on phase 2 before it's gone or the train will bang you and hit you with his cannon.
Already tried hitting/taking the missiles and focus on the red circle, team always gets wiped instead before I can reach 3m damage. I think you guys are overestimating what Lv65+ Nikkes can dish out. I already updated my pinned comment.
I actually got her on an older account, tried her, saw how overpowered she is, gave away the account. I rather have fun with team building than bruteforcing everything with Scarlet.
I swear with Interception Level S they added lag as a mechanic. Everywhere else I get 120 fps, but on the Level S interception: 12 fps and what is even weirder is since I've upgraded my units higher and higher, the battle feels more smooth. hmmm
So this was good up until the 2nd part. *The second half of this video is just poor tactics and how to throw.* You're losing people when it crashes into you. There's no reason for that. *If you just maintain breaking the circle you'd get the kill long before the timer runs out.* You were literally already on the last bar of health even.
Haha, just made a comment about that with timestamps. Yeah, his second tactic is not good advice. He could've actually killed the boss and done a full complete of the run.
When it crashes to you, it barely does any damage. The attack that typically kills your Nikkes is the shotgun attack it does before it detaches from you but that could easily be blocked by the remaining shields you have. I think you guys are overestimating the damage underleveled Nikkes could do. I cannot keep up with the amount of missiles it throws at me even if I fully focus on it. I tried to always hit the red reticle before but I always end up getting wiped before 3m damage because I simply cannot destroy all the incoming missiles. Maybe you guys could with your stronger Nikkes but a Lv67 Privaty cannot.
@@lockekosta9014 I have many recordings of attempts where I only focused on the missile and red circle, they all failed because my team keeps getting wiped before 3m damage. I simply cannot keep up with the amount of missiles. What is so hard to understand? Can you please show me a video of Lv60 Nikkes that are not using Scarlet+Harran?
@@LisaraScarlet Don't waste your dps on missiles you can't destroy then? Idk what to tell you. Missiles were never a problem for me and I was clearing it when my comp was level 60 - 65 without issue. You're at full hp with 1 bar doing perfectly fine damage. That should be a clear.

Can I use any all target burst for destroying missiles?
Yes. But if your Bursts is in cooldown, you can try using an RPG.
I’m on iOS so I can’t full screen mode play :(((
Awesome video! One little reminder is that levels are fixed in ex stages. For instance, the level of this stage is fixed to always be 80 no matter if we're higher or lower than level 80. What really matters are the gears, affection levels, skill levels etc.
No, this is in Intercept mission where you use ur own Nikke's lv for DPS race.
@@Vermikun Oh! My bad, I thought it was the ex stage for chapter 2 which was the exact same boss! haha
Is Laplace, Liter, Diesel, Privaty and Rapunzel a good team? My 2nd team is Haran, Helm, Rapunzel, Yuni and XMas Rupee.
Should I change anything?
If you can replace Diesel with another Burst II like OG Rupee, it would be great.
@@LisaraScarlet it worked, thank you. Ive been able to beat it now 😁
What if I only have 2 SR AR users and without Liter, could it possible to achive it?
I got full kill earlier today witha team of Noise, Admi, Alice, Volume, Rapi, which is 1 RL, 2 SR, 1 AR and 1 SMG, so yes. Altho I was in high 70s when I got full kill, but getting to 3m shouldn't be hard.
You don't specifically need 2 ARs. Just make sure you have a screenwide nuke for the missiles and a hardcore single target main DPS for your burst IIIs.
once again ty for your guidance ive also made it to stage 8 reward
Yay! Congrats.
nice video as always!
I had no idea there was a visual cue for the turrets
Sorry, apparently that visual effect was from Brid's passive. If the turret's red glow starts blinking, it will start shooting.
@@LisaraScarlet Aight imma check it out

auto often make your team died instantly
there's often the nikke won't shoot projectiles until it's too late and wipe out your team
instead like that, i use the target burst skill to projectiles
yeah cuz unless they are not in your full burst you can't manually target all your nikkee's that'ys why you use characters that deals high damage like Scarlet, Privaty or any AR or Machinegun unit.
Sometimes the targeting of the boss is really unlucky and 1 unit just get blasted to oblivion, bugs doesnt help either
Subbed bro love the breakdown
There's a phase 2 glitch?
I think the train hate my RL SR team comp or something that Starting Phase literally requires you to focus burst down Missile Launcher 😂
It's gonna be tough w/o Assault Rifle or Minigun for sure. Sniper works too if you are accurate with it.
Damn, didn't know how much not having a proper dps was holding me back, I can barely make it to 1.5 mil with lvl 70+ (or maybe I'm just bad at the Game)
Gotta hold out until I can get the free privaty I guess
Try Rapi, she isn't bad. Although, if you aren't willing to give her affection then yea, she probably wouldn't suffice. Affection bonuses are pretty big.
it's hard to do that boss in portrait mode, aiming is hell
Though, after showing this to one of my discord mod, he said he is already doing the same thing as me but he plays on portrait mode.
@@LisaraScarlet I'm doing the same, but in landscape it seems like you can target the first set of turrets a lot faster since you can aim a lot further right.

Wow, Landscape makes a diffrence in targeting stuff and see more / better.
It does!

Emulator. Specifically, LDPlayer and used the Landscape Mode on settings.
Actually, Snow White is a very strong DPS
@@Naru_Payne yeah she is but compared her to harran or scarlet they both so far ahead of her

btw how did you set the auto skill to use Privaty's Burst III?
Privaty as you can see is in the 3rd slot while Brid is on the 4th slot. Since auto-skill priority is from left to right, the AI will always choose to use Privaty's Burst III first before Brid's.
How does the game run so well on your PC?

@@avenell6553 Is it out?
This is a good breakdown for the Choo Choo Boss fight.
though i have some questions about it.
1. Can you use this strat with different team comps? since so far is more timing and mechanic wise rather than Character depended
@@LisaraScarlet What settings to move so smouth while in emu ? 120 fps and more cores / rams allocated to the emulator ?
@@LisaraScarlet Thanks, but what does "shoot early at a precise timing" mean? And I see, so kind of a just pull more situation. Appreciate the input.
@@zeracheil911 When the battle starts, your Nikke starts shooting as soon as it can which you can take over afterwards, this means more damage especially on the missile launcher. N102 is an SR so you most likely have her, you only need to pull if you hate the idea of using SRs.
@@LisaraScarlet Alright, thanks a bunch friend.
My screen is barely able to cover one nikkes pov
So you already have good gear ?!
I only have green one 😅
i will give you my best tips to defeat boss first it is better to pause and replay if you fucked up because you dont using ticket and if you have guiltione it is better using she because his burst attack vs boss are insane

dreamy always so skilled at games.
hope i can improve my 500k intercept points.
don't forget that your liter heals the cover
She does but abusing the no damage taken after having covers broken is pretty inconsistent.
This seem to only work on landscape mode. Good guide nonetheless, thanks for making it!
You're entering phase 2 too fast, and couldn't leech more damage from the 6 additional turrets that spawn after the first QTE. Doing correctly, when the train enter phase 2 it would only have 1 hp bar left around 70~90% hp.
As for phase 2, depending on which defensive supports you bring with, you can face tank the rockets and would only have to pay attention to the QTE.
The boss will always trigger the 2nd phase with 3hp bar left.
@@goshtic9565 Not really, when a group of turrets/weapons on any bosses is destroyed, they takes extra portion damage to its HP. Doing it correctly you'd enter the next phase of any bosses with much lower hp than they should have had.
With all the shit that is going on in the fight itself I was barely able to admire the fan service, this is certainly good for NNN
My only attackers are Rapi and Mihara 😭
I'm definitely not getting 3m + I'm on mobile
Landscape buff indeed, we desperately need a pc client
So them not shooting is a bug? Dem, I thought that was normal and wasted my chances
Privaty + the Masked Shotgun girl annihilates this boss lol. specially when it trys to get close I just deal a huge chunk out of it's hp
I would definitely use a Sugar here if I had one, she is like one of the strongest DPS in the game as long as the enemy is in shotgun range.
Nice strat but this is only possible in a emulator. I wish the game had a setting for landscape mode
Poli just stupid good for the HP check
If you have ludmilla and liter, you can clear rank 9 easily.
Timing is key,
Good stuff sad always
Ahhh so the trick is to use an emulator so you can play in landscape mode. Got it

Ayo 3d account?! For me it's 1 month still can't do that 😂
I would rather take some missiles tbh. Can't risk ignoring the QTE and let the train slams into my team.
Already tried hitting/taking the missiles and focus on the red circle, team always gets wiped instead before I can reach 3m damage. I think you guys are overestimating what Lv65+ Nikkes can dish out. I already updated my pinned comment.
@@LisaraScarlet In my case, I control the one that deals the most dmg, and I point her crosshair away from the train until the red circle appear.
Great to no see another Scarlet Player
I actually got her on an older account, tried her, saw how overpowered she is, gave away the account. I rather have fun with team building than bruteforcing everything with Scarlet.
I swear with Interception Level S they added lag as a mechanic. Everywhere else I get 120 fps, but on the Level S interception: 12 fps and what is even weirder is since I've upgraded my units higher and higher, the battle feels more smooth. hmmm
Damn, just realized Level S is so far, chapter 9. Gonna be a while before I could try it.
@@LisaraScarlet All your deaths were due to it crashing into you.
Entirely preventable. You can kill it at level 60.
